From Brooklyn originally but training in Florida, Galarza has won eight straight fights since his lone defeat, including decision victories over Yardley Suarez and Samuel Amoako in 2016. The 23-year-old continued to improve as a pro in 2015 as he picked up five victories including a stoppage of veteran Juan Ramon Solis. He takes on the 26-year-old Valenzuela who enters this fight on a four-bout winning streak including a win over previously unbeaten Carlos Castillo in November 2015. The Phoenix-native’s only losses came against unbeaten fighters.
The 23-year-old Holmes turned pro in 2013 after a brief amateur career and delivered knockout victories in his first three contests. A veteran of the venue he’ll be entering onSeptember 27; the Santa Fe-native’s last seven victories have come at Buffalo Thunder Casino.
