Lectura, PA (Agosto 18, 2015)–Na noite pasada venres no Prudential Center inNewark, New Jersey, Peso pesado Travis Kauffman (29-1, 21 KO) scored a first round stoppage over Richard Carmack in Kauffman’s first fight in 19 meses.
Kauffman acertou un gancho de dereita perfecta desde a posición zurdo que enviou Carmack abaixo en 2:07.
O ataque ocorreu nunha tarxeta que foi encabezado por un loita entre ex-campións mundiais Antonio Tarver e Steve Cunningham, que rematou nun empate.
“Eu non creo que Carmack ía bater tan duro como el fixo. I went out there with the mindset of going some rounds to work off ring rust. As soon as he hit me with a right hand, Eu sabía que era forte e quería tiralo rápido. The gameplan that we worked on was to go to the body and once I dropped him, Eu sabía que el se fixo,” dixo Kauffman.
Kauffman debe volver en setembro 18 no Claridge en Atlantic City.
“Eu non perdeu tempo e xa estou de volta ao ximnasio con Naazim Richardson e meu pai e eu estou preparado para seguir adiante con loitas maiores. I expect this fight to be another tune up and then I will be ready for a much bigger fight.”
