“You can’t learn if you don’t go rounds,” Younan correctly noted after the fight. “I’m only going to improve. Guy kept moving forward the entire fight. There were a couple of things that bothered me, but I went eight hard rounds and won. Thank you to Mike Guy for that.”

In the walkout-fight, Los Angeles featherweight Sergio “El Nino” Quiroz mejoró a 4-0 with a four-round unanimous decision over Lupe Arrotyo (2-7).

Fighting under the Roc Nation banner, Younan was a highly-decorated amateur boxer, compiling an outstanding 90-5 registro. Given his success, Younan elected to turn pro in 2013 as an 18-year-old, rather than wait several years for an opportunity to qualify for the U.S. Equipo olímpico de boxeo.

Nagging injuries somewhat curtailed Younan’s development, limiting him to one fight in 2015. After a nine-month layoff, he returned triumphantly on March 26, 2016 to defeat Cristian Solorzano, de Sonora, México, en el Andre Ward vs.. MONTREAL, QUEBEC (Agosto 17, 2015) – Este pasado Sábado en el Bell Centre en Montreal, Quebec, prospecto súper mediano, Caleb “Sweet-Manos” Planta (9-0, 8 KOs), mantuvo invicto con un nocaut en el primer asalto sobre finales sub, Zoltan Sera (20-6, 12 KOs). La pelea sirvió como la pelea de swing para el PBC en la transmisión de NBC., encabezado por Lucian Bute (32-2, 23 KOs) vs. Andrea Di Luisa (17-3, 13 KOs).
Planta envió Sera a la lona dos veces antes de terminar la pelea con un gancho de izquierda a la mandíbula en el 2:19 marca de la primera ronda. Plant preparó todo con un buen jab que lo ayudó a cronometrar todos sus golpes de poder.. Una vez que Plant vio que Sera estaba herida, se fue por el nocaut.
