SAN ANTONIO Iš, TX (Gruodis 1, 2018) – Last night at the Scottish Rite Theatre in San Antonio, TX, TMB & PRB Entertainment ir Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions, presented, “Whose ‘0’ Will Go 2”, kur Kendo Castaneda (15-0, 7 Kos) captured the NABA super lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory Gilbert Venegas Jr. (10-1, 6 Kos), handing him his first loss as a professional.
In the early rounds, both fighters were having their moments, landing hard shots, but as the fight progressed, Castaneda started to get in a grove by going to the body. Venegas held his own but couldn’t get his punches off like he wanted too, and Castaneda started to take over the fight. In the later rounds, Castaneda was landing three punch combinations, while boxing from a distance, finishing the fight strong. 6-Round Co-Main Event for Vacant ABF Middleweight Title

SAN ANTONIO Iš, TX (Rugsėjis 9, 2018) – Last night TMB & PRB Entertainment presented “Fight Night at the Scottish Rite 2” a ten-bout card that took place at the Scottish Rite Theatre in downtown San Antonio. In the six-round main event, local fighters, Gilbert Venegas ir Armando Cardenas gave the fans a crowd-pleasing showdown.
Cardenas, who had the height and reach advantage, was doing his best to box from the outside, but was getting caught with overhand rights by Venegas. At the end of round two, Venegas dropped Cardenas with a looping right hand. Cardenas wasn’t hurt to bad and came back strong in round three. Venegas then started landing pounding body shots, slowing down Cardenas’ comeback. Another overhand right by Venegas dropped Cardenas for the second time in round four. Venegas followed with a vicious left hook to the body that put Cardenas down once again in round three. Cardenas was badly hurt but made it to the final round. Both fighters went out with a blaze of glory as they went toe to toe in the last seconds of round six. Venegas remains undefeated winning by unanimous decision, improving his record to (10-0, 6 Kos), while Armando Cardenas’ record stands at (9-2, 5 Kos). Scorecards unavailable.
4-Round Super Featherweight Bout
Richard Medina (1-0, 1 KO) nugalėjo. Jonathan Ewer (0-7)
17-year old amateur standout Richard Medina made his highly anticipated pro debut. He made easy work of a game Johnathan Ewer. Medina’s speed and power was on display as he landed several combinations in the opening round, dropping Ewer twice. In a close fight, Luis Villareal edged out Stetson Horne over four rounds. Villareal applied pressure from the opening bell, forcing Horne to box from the outside. Los Angeles native, Johnathan Rice used a nice jab to win his bout against a game Terrel Woods. At the end of round two, Rice dropped Woods with a nice right hook, forcing the ref to give him a standing eight count. Rice would cruise to a unanimous victory. A former New Jersey Golden Gloves champion from Paterson, Edwards fights out of Houston and is unbeaten since turning pro in 2013. The 26-year-old was busy in 2015 as he racked up five victories including a knockout over Marco Antonio Solis. Edwards has defeated previously unbeaten boxers John Delperdang and Azriel Paez in his last two fights. He takes on the unbeaten 23-year-old Cruz. Pro nuo 2013, Cruz picked up a victory over Jerome Rodriguez in April of this year.
A 20-year-old rising prospect fighting out of Houston, Perez turned pro in April of last year with a first round stoppage of Deseante Armstrong. Perez would pick up four more victories in 2015 and has already won three times in 2016. His last outing saw him defeat previously once-beaten Adan Ortiz in his first six round bout and he will now take on the 27-year-old Molina out of Tlaxcala, Meksika.
A 2012 Olympian for his native Dominican Republic, Castillo recorded a significant victory in April when he defeated previously unbeaten and highly regarded Kyrone Davis over eight rounds in April before dropping a decision to Justin DeLoach in June.
