(ಜನವರಿ 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion ಕ್ಸೇವಿಯರ್ ವೆಗಾ, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (ಎಮ್ಎ), ಒಂದು 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ.

The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ) ಚಾಲೆಂಜರ್ Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, who has a 33-3 ಹವ್ಯಾಸಿ ದಾಖಲೆ, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.
