SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 13, 2018) – Unbesiegter NABF Lightweight Champion, Selina “Aztec Königin” Stadtviertel (4-0, 2 KOs) bereitet sich auf ihren Corpus Christi Showdown im September vor 22, 2018, gegen Patricia Juarez (4-0), Schwester des WBC-Champions im Bantamgewicht, Mariana “Barbie” Juarez (50-9-4, 13 KOs).

“Das Trainingslager war sehr herausfordernd, aber es wird jede Minute wert sein. Ich fühle mich sehr motiviert für dieses Camp. Ich glaube fest daran, dass ich der Beste in meiner Abteilung bin und dass dies auch weiterhin so bleiben wird, Ich muss härter trainieren als andere, und das ist, was ich tue. Ich verstehe, dass Patricia Juarez ungeschlagen und eine sehr harte Gegnerin ist. Deshalb trainiere ich extrem hart, weil ich ihr Können respektiere. Es wird ein toller Kampf für die Fans.

Über den Kampf gegen Patricia Juarez…

“Patricia Juarez ist eine verdiente und harte Herausforderin. Ich trainiere, als ob ich in einem harten und zermürbenden Kampf stehen würde, der über die Distanz gehen wird, aber meine Denkweise ist, wie bei meinem letzten Kampf, auch einen Knockout anzustreben. Ich trainiere sehr hart für diesen Kampf und möchte, dass die Fans wissen, dass ich meinen Gegner nicht auf die leichte Schulter nehme.

Über den Kampf in Corpus Christi auf dem Baseballfeld für die Organisation Houston Astros…

“Es ist ein wahr gewordener Traum, wenn man so hart an etwas arbeitet, In meinem Fall Boxen, und eine große Organisation lässt dich in ihrer Einrichtung kämpfen. Die Organisation Houston Astros ist ein fester Bestandteil der Stadt Corpus Christi, und der gesamte Bundesstaat Texas für alle diese Angelegenheiten. Ich liebe es, in Texas zu kämpfen, es ist, wo ich herkomme, und es ist eine große Ehre, so viele Menschen zu unterhalten, besonders diejenigen, die am 22. September auf dem Whataburger-Feld anwesend sein werden. Alle sehen meinen Kampf, wird etwas Besonderes sehen.

Über die Verteidigung ihres NABF Lightweight-Titels..

“Der NABF-Titel im Leichtgewicht bedeutet mir an diesem Punkt meiner Karriere die Welt, und es zu verteidigen ist sehr wichtig. Ich lebe dafür, dass die Leute mich „Champion“ nennen’ und keinen Gürtel zu haben, würde bedeuten, dass ich nicht hart genug gearbeitet habe, um es zu behalten. Das kann ich nicht zulassen, Also arbeite ich enorm hart daran, diesen Gürtel zu behalten, weil ich es nicht nur verteidigen will, aber ich will auch um einen WM-Titel kämpfen, Das bedeutet, dass ich den NABF-Gurt nicht verlieren kann.

“Dies ist meiner Meinung nach die beste Division im gesamten Frauenboxen. Wir haben Mikaela Mayer und Katie Taylor, die meiner Meinung nach zwei sehr talentierte Kämpfer sind. Ich denke auch, dass Amanda Serrano in dieser Abteilung berücksichtigt werden sollte, obwohl sie mehrere Gewichtsklassen aufstieg und Geschichte schrieb, indem sie Weltmeisterin in sechs Divisionen wurde. Ganz einfach gesagt, Ich möchte gegen sie alle kämpfen und ich möchte beweisen, dass ich der beste Kämpfer in dieser Division bin. World Renowned Swimsuit Model turned pro boxer Avril Mathie to fight on Fire Fist Boxing’s “Night of Champions” Card October 6

Tampa, FL (September 11, 2018) – Undefeated bantamweight and famed swimsuit model Avril Mathie will face Samantha Salazar at Fire Fist Boxing’s “Night of Champions” card Saturday, Oktober 6 an der St.. Petersburg Kolosseum in St.. Petersburg, FL.

 

 

 

Originally from Australia and now fighting out of Miami, FL at the Famous 5thStreet Gym, Mathie is a globally recognized swimsuit model. She won Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia in 2012, die 2014 Miss Swimsuit USA International as well as the 2015 Las Vegas International Model Search. Mathie however is more than just a pretty face.

 

 

 

The 31-year-old Mathie had 20 amateur boxing matches between her native Australia and the US. During her amateur career, Mathie regularly fought more experienced opponents and did so in a number of different weight classes while still winning most of her fights.

 

 

 

Mathie turned pro this past February and her record stands at 2-0 with both victories coming via first round KO’s. Her next opponent however is a significant step up in competition.

 

 

 

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Salazar has a 5-5-1 record and is riding a three-fight win streak. She’s faced stiff competition including bouts against former Olympian Marlen Esparza, highly-touted Rosalinda Rodriguez and Casey Morton, all of whom are undefeated.

 

 

 

“I’ve watched some footage on her,” Mathie said of Salazar. “She’s a decent fighter but I’ve seen weaknesses that I intend to exploit.”

 

 

 

Mathie-Salazar is scheduled for six rounds and is for the ABF bantamweight title.

 

 

 

“We are proud to have Avril and also St. Petersburg’s very own Noemi Bosques fighting on October 6,” said Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing Promotions. “This is going to be an excellent night of boxing and I expect both women to shine.”

 

 

 

An 11 Kampf-Karte, “Night of Champions” is headlined by a ten round bout featuring 135 pound contender William “Babyface” Silva against Jose Forero for the ABF lightweight title.

Team USA leaving Budapest with 4 medals

BUDAPEST, Ungarn (August 31, 2018) — The final day of the 2018 Jugend-Weltmeisterschaft in Budapest, Hungary was another golden day for Team USA, as both Himmel Garcia (Mt., Calif.) und Asa Stevens (Waianae, Hawaii) won the female and male flyweight titles..

 

 

 

Stevens began the final day of boxing in the first bout against 2018 European Champion Ivan Price of England. Leading up to this showdown, Stevens and the USA Boxing coaching staff worked on a plan that would result in victory.

 

 

 

“The past three days we were creating a game plan of keeping distance and doing a lot of faints,” said Stevens after his gold medal performance. “I feel like we utilized it very well and that is how I got the win.”

 

 

 

The flyweight boxed a total of five times through the 11-day tournament, which included a split decision win over Patrick Clancy (Irland), unanimous decision wins over Ibrahim Boukedim (Frankreich) and Samandar Kholmurodov (Usbekistan), as well as a split decision win over Bhavesh Kattimani (Indien) im Halbfinale. His unanimous decision victory today over Price earned him his first World Championship title and the first youth flyweight title since Shakur Stevenson in 2014.

 

 

 

“This means a lot, no words can really explain how I feel,” stated Stevens. “This is the best feeling in the world.”

 

 

 

Garcia picked up her second World Championships title to add to her 2015 Junior World Championship title with her 4-1 split decision victory over India’s Anamika.

 

 

 

“My game plan was to use my jab and use that as a key,“, Sagte Garcia. “I wanted to also work in the body shots and wear her down with those and plenty of combinations.”

 

 

 

Like her teammate, Garcia boxed a total of five days in a grueling bracket that included three bouts in a row. Her victories included a split decision over Hatice Akbas (Truthahn) in der ersten Runde, unanimous decision wins over Rinka Kinoshita (Japan) and Simran Kaur (England), as well as her rematch with Zhanssaya Abdaimova (Kasachstan) by split decision in the semifinals.

 

 

 

Garcia’s win today adds her to a list of female American boxers that have won multiple amateur world titles that includes JaJaira Gonzalez and Claressa Shields. Garcia is the first American to win both a junior and youth world title since Gonzalez did so in 2013 und 2014/2015. Garcia will also look to join Gonzalez in the record books with a win at this October’s Youth Olympics.

 

 

 

“This win feels great because it was harder than my first title in 2015,” continued Garcia. “Everyone is older and more experienced at this level, and I worked very hard to get to the top spot.”

 

 

 

Following the conclusion of the tournament, Augie Sanchez (Las Vegas, Nev.), Team USA’s Head National Junior and Youth Coach, was awarded Best Coach of the Tournament honors, während Isamary Aquino (Universalstadt, Texas) was awarded her bronze medal during the medal ceremonies.

 

 

 

“I am very happy with the team,” said Sanchez at the end of the competition. “It was the whole staff that made this happen, and I am happy how our team performed overall.”

 

 

 

Team USA will begin their return home tomorrow with a total of three gold medals and one bronze after ten intense days of boxing. This year’s tournament brought over 350 Boxer aus über 50 countries from around the World. “I’m super excited to be fighting for a world title in my sixth weight class,” Said Serrano. “My opponent is really a welterweight, having defended her Argentinean 147-pound title by knockout in her last fight, and is dropping down one division to face me. I am coming up four divisions for this shot. I’m sure Reynoso will rehydrate back up to her natural weight after the weigh-in, but this is a risk worth taking. She’s never been stopped either, so I know she’s durable. This is a tremendous card to be a part of with Garcia vs. Porter as the main event. Women’s boxing sensation Claressa Shields has been named a top-10 finalist for the 2018 Individual Sport “Sportswoman of the Year” by the prestigious Women’s Sports Foundation.

 

 

 

The two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and now two-division professional World Champion will be looking to repeat as winner this year, as she already won the award in 2016, after her second gold medal victory.

 

 

 

Finalists were selected based on athletic performances between August 1, 2017, und Juni 30, 2018. The public and the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Awards Committee will select the award winner. She will be the athlete who receives the highest combined share of online public voting (50% of composite) and the Awards Committee vote (50% of composite). Napoleon had a previous fight scheduled for June 21 postponed and has continued training in preparation to defend her world title.

 

 

 

Fighting in the paid ranks for just one-year, Rankin defeated then undefeated Sanna Turunen over ten rounds in June to capture the vacant WBC Silver Women’s Middleweight Title and her third straight victory headed into August 4.

 

 

 

A professional musician outside of the ring, the 27-year-old Rankin plays the bassoon and has traveled the world in recent years playing with numerous orchestras while also training and furthering her career in the squared circle.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (Juli 8, 2018) – Last night in star fashion, San Antonio’s undefeated female boxing sensation, Selina “Aztec Königin” Stadtviertel,” verbessert (4-0, 2 KOs), with devastating one punch knockout over current WBF international lightweight champion, Aida “Dame Sparta” Satybaldinova (3-1-1). “I fought hard but didn’t get victory tonight,” said Satybaldinova. “Next time I will win. I will continue to work harder to fight the best. I will never give up. I hope to fight Selina again in rematch.”
