Hughie Fury added to Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko Card

Manchester, Lancashire, Royaume-Uni (Mai 4, 2016) – Undefeated heavyweight sensation Hughie Fury will appear in a featured bout on the undercard of the world heavyweight championship rematch between unified champion Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko Samedi, Juillet 9 à la Manchester Arena.

The bout will take place in front of more than 21,000 fans and be seen by millions more around the world on various television outlets.

Britain’s Joshua To Defend IBF World Title Against American Dominic Breazeale

Samedi, Juin 25 at The O2 in London In First Fight Of New Deal

 

LONDRES (Mai 4, 2016) – SHOWTIME Sports and Matchroom Boxing announced on Wednesday a multi-fight licensing agreement for Showtime Networks Inc., to be the exclusive U.S. television partner of undefeated heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua. The announcement was made today at the Hilton Syon Park outside London by Stephen Espinoza, Vice-président exécutif et directeur général, SHOWTIME Sports and Eddie Hearn, President of Matchroom Sports.

 

The multi-fight agreement kicks-off on Samedi, Juin 25 when Joshua, a British sensation, attempts to make the first defense of his IBF Heavyweight World Championship against undefeated American challenger Dominic Breazeale at the sold-out The O2 arena in London. The addition of this heavyweight title fight, airing live on Showtime Networks in the late afternoon, bolsters a big day for boxing as later that evening on CBS, SHOWTIME will present the first live primetime boxing event on the CBS Television Network in nearly 40 ans.

 

Joshua, 26, has compiled a perfect knockout record of 16-0 avec 16 knockouts since turning professional shortly after winning the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal. Plus tôt cette année, Joshua earned the IBF world championship with a second-round knockout of defending champion Charles Martin on SHOWTIME, earning a heavyweight belt in the fewest number of fights in more than 20 ans. Plus, Joshua is just the sixth Olympic Gold Medalist at super heavyweight to go on to win a professional heavyweight world title joining Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin.

 

The 30-year-old Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) has knocked out nearly 90 percent of his opponents since turning professional after representing the United States at the 2012 Jeux olympiques. Standing at 6-foot-7, the Los Angeles native is one inch taller than the 6-foot-6 Joshua. The former NCAA football quarterback is coming off a career-best victory of previously once-beaten Amir Mansour on Jan. 23.

 

Joshua vs. Breazeale will be the fifth heavyweight title bout to air live on SHOWTIME in the first six months of 2016, joining a stellar schedule that features many of the top-rated fighters in boxing’s deepest and most exciting divisions.

 

Aussi sur Samedi, Juin 25, Keith Thurman will defend his WBA Welterweight World Championship against former titlist Shawn Porter in a blockbuster matchup of two of the world’s best 147-pound fighters, vivre à 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. UNCASVILLE, Conn. (Septembre 15, 2015) – Organisateur Lou DiBella et gestionnaire / promoteur Shelly Finkel mener une de sept membres de la classe 2015 dans le Connecticut boxe Hall of Fame (CBHOF). Les nouveaux membres seront intronisés au 11THDîner annuel CBHOF Gala d'intronisation vendredi nuit,Novembre 13 dans la salle de bal Uncas au Mohegan Sun.
Les nouveaux intronisés de CBHOF comprend également l'ancien commissaire de la boxe Peter Timothy et, à titre posthume, boxeurs Carey Mace et George Russo, écrivain de boxe Mort Sharnik et la boxe avocat Arnie Bayer.
“Nous, au Connecticut Boxe Hall of Fame sommes très heureux d'annoncer la classe des intronisés de cette année,” nouveau président CBHOF John Laudati dit. “Nous avons un grand mélange de légendes de boxe internationalement reconnues et un groupe merveilleux et les plus méritants de la redevance de boxe du Connecticut. Personnellement, Je suis tellement heureux de vous présenter cette classe dans ma première année en tant que président de cette organisation incroyable. Basée à New York City, DiBella (photo à gauche) est l'ancien chef de la boxe pour HBO, la création d'un grand succès “Boxing After Dark” série. Sa société de promotion, DiBella Entertainment, a promu innombrables événements de boxe au Mohegan Sun Arena et Foxwoods Resort Casino au cours des deux dernières décennies. DiBella possédait également l'équipe de baseball des ligues mineures Connecticut Defenders qui était basé à Norwich. Ses meilleurs combattants ont inclus Sergio Martinez,Bernard Hopkins, Paulie Malignaggi, Jermain Taylor, CBHOF intronisé “Irlandais” Micky Ward, et Autres Berto parmi les plus notables. Pendant son mandat à Foxwoods, Timothy réglementés centaines d'événements pro, y compris 90 combat pour le titre. Faits saillants de son règne inclus CBHOF intronisé John Ruiz–Evander Holyfield III pour le championnat WBA des poids lourds et monde, peut-être, le plus grand combat de l'histoire Foxwoods, le monde IBF combat pour le titre cruiserweight entre James Toney et Vassily Jirov. NEW YORK (Avril 23, 2015) – Gary Shaw Productions invaincu Jr. Welterweight perspective, Kenneth Sims Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs) will return to the ring this Saturday at the Madison Square Garden Theater on the undercard of Klitschko vs. Jennings. Jennings, who hails from Philadelphia, is looking to end Klitschko’s reign on the heavyweight division.

 

Klitschko vs. Jennings, a 12-round bout for Wladimir’s WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO World heavyweight titles, will take place at “Plus célèbre Arena du monde”, Madison Square Garden, sur Avril 25, 2015.
