“Travis Kauffman doesn’t back down from anyone and there’s no doubt he’ll be looking to make a statement against Scott Alexander on Sunday, June 10,” said Tom Brown, Prezident TGB Promotions. “It’s an interesting time in the heavyweight division and all the winners on this card will figure into the picture in a prominent way in the future.”

 

 

 

Kauffman (31-2, 23 KO) will look to boost his own contender credentials with a win after most recently dropping a close majority decision to Amir Mansour last March in Kauffman’s hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania. Kauffman had entered that bout with a 14 bojovať neporazený pruh, including dropping Chris Arreola in a fight that resulted in a no contest and a knockout of former title challenger Epifanio Mendoza.

The 29-year-old Alexander (14-2-2, 8 KO) has put together two straight victories since losing to LaRon Mitchell by unanimous decision in 2016. Boj z Los Angeles, Alexander is noted for his fast hands, and scored a TKO victory over Pedro Julio Rodriguez in his last fight on March 3.

 

 

 

“I’ve been working hard preparing for a fight at the end of June so I jumped at this opportunity,” Alexander said. “I’m always ready to step into the ring and take on any and all challenges. I’m ready to make my mark. Môj čas je teraz!”

 

 

 

A U.S. Navy veteran who also played tight end and defensive end at the University of Southern California, Washington (18-2-1, 12 KO) will step into the ring looking to score a bounce back victory on June 10. Washington was stopped in his world title challenge last February against Deontay Wilder on FOX, although he was nearly even on the scorecards at the time, before losing a bout to unbeaten Jarrell Miller in July. Prior to those fights, Washington had been unbeaten in 19 pro fights with victories over a slew of veteran contenders.

The 29-year-old returned to action this April with a decision victory and will set his sights on a world title shot at heavyweight.

 

 

 

Kiladze (26-2, 18 KO) was riding a six-bout winning streak into his January matchup with unbeaten Adam Kownacki that ended with Kiladze losing in six rounds. Representing the country of Georgia and now fighting out of Los Angeles, Kiladze will be in his fifth fight as a full time heavyweight on June 10.

CARLTON, MN. (Máj 18, 2016) – Unbeaten cruiserweight contender Murat “Iron” Gassiev (23-0, 17 KO) scored a sensational knockout victory over Jordan Shimmell (20-2, 16 KO) V hlavnej udalosti Champions Premier Boxerské TOE k päte UTOROK na FS1 a Champions Boxerské na FOX DeportesUtorok night from Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, MN in the Otter Creek Event Center.
Gassiev delivered a powerful left hook that put Shimmell out on the mat and halted the cruiserweight title elimination bout immediately at 2:54 prvého kola. Shimmell was able to move effectively for much of the round and had landed an early combination that got the attention of Gassiev.
The Russian fighter, who now trains in California with Abel Sanchez, was able to start working through the defense of Shimmell with his jab as the round wore on. The final blow came after Gassiev imitated a right hand and delivered the critical left hook while Shimmell was caught counter-punching.
The co-main event of the night saw local favorite Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell (32-9, 30 KO) deliver a dominant performance in knocking out previously unbeaten Wes Nofire (19-1, 15 KO) in their heavyweight showdown.
The former title challenger bothered Nofire early and often from his southpaw stance and was successful with his left hand throughout the fight. Abell snuck in a strong right hook in round two that stunned Nofire before he delivered multiple left hooks to score the early knockdown.
Nofire tried to weather the storm but a big right hand from Abell again put Nofire down early in the third round. Nofire almost made it out of the round but Abell’s power in the left hand proved to be too much as a series of strong shots sent Nofire down for the final time before his corner stopped the fight.
Abell could hardly miss as he connected on 42 percent of his punches on his way to the stoppage at 2:12 z tretieho kola.
V úvodnom zápase, St. Louis heavyweight Stephan Shaw (7-0, 5 KO) earned a shutout unanimous decision over Washington, D.C.’s Danny Kelly (9-3-1, 8 KO) in their six-round bout.
Shaw controlled the action with superior boxing skills and strong combinations throughout the fight. Kelly had some success targeting the body of Shaw but was unable to maintain a consistently effective attack.
The punch stats were in line with the judges’ scores of 60-54 as Shaw out landed Kelly 95 na 56 while connecting at 34 percent mark to Kelly’s 23 percento.

“I was trying to set up the final punch. I imitated the right overhand so that I could come back with the left hook. It was a combination that we practiced.

“This is exactly what I planned. I thought I might get him in the first round but I took my time. My punches were sharp. There were times in the past where I felt my timing was off but I’m in great shape so I wasn’t thinking about getting tired.”
WES NOFIRE
“I just didn’t get the shots I was looking for. I thought I was going to be able to back him up more with my jab. He stayed his distance and lunged in from out of range.
“One of the head butts caught me pretty good and I just couldn’t see what he was coming back with.
“The head butts were giving me problems and he followed up on me after them. He was a little stronger than I expected but I’ve been hit hard like that by other fighters.
“Som sklamaný. I trained really hard for the fight. I’ve never had a problem taking power before. It’s just one of those things that happens in everybody’s career, but I’ll be back.”

A fast-rising 22-year-old contender, Gassiev is undefeated since turning pro in 2011 and has delivered three straight stoppage victories since making his stateside debut in January 2015. MIAMI (November 25, 2015) – Super majster welterweight sveta a kubánsky senzáciaErislandy “Americký sen” Lara (22-2-2, 13 KO) úspešne obhájil svoj titul proti bývalý majster sveta a slovinčine Jan Zaveck (35-4, 19 KO) v Champions Premier Boxerské na ESPN show z Miami Hialeah Park Racing & Kasíno.
Kvôli počasiu v tejto oblasti, Hlavnou udalosťou bola presunutá s cieľom zabezpečiť boja sa stalo. Od otvorenia zvonu, Lara riadil akciu pristátie ťažké údery. V treťom kole, ref zastavil akciu s Zaveck proti lana, neschopný pokračovať. Rozhodca volal zastaviť v boji na :41 do tretieho kola.

“Aj hit (Zaveck) s veľkým výstrelom k brade a zmrazil jeho celé telo. Sťažoval sa na bolesť v uchu a jeho nohy, ale faktom je, mám vyhrať.
“Budem čeliť každého, koho chcete, aby predo mnou na 154 lbs, ak to nie je Canela (Alavarez) alebo (Miguel) Varené. Potom budeme pokračovať až do 160 lbs.”
JAN ZAVECK
“Aj v súčasnej dobe majú ostrú bolesť ísť od krku do mojej rameno na pravej strane.
“Vedel som, že by som sa mohol pokúsiť bojovať na pôdu a šťastný úder, ale že bola malá možnosť, a to bolo asi lepšie zastaviť a bojovať ďalší deň.
“Cítil som sa dobre tam pred tým. Snažil som sa ho prekvapiť súbojmi ho v blízkosti, ale ja som bral príliš veľa údery a má veľmi dobrú silu.
“Nikdy som nebol zranený, ako predtým. Je to veľmi podivné. Bolesť je stúpajúca.”
Emmanuel RODRIGUEZ
“Vzhľadom k tomu, začal boj Mohol by som povedať, Aquino bol silný bojovník, ale akonáhle som začal boxovať mu, že som vedel, že by som mohol ukončiť boje v neskorších kolách.
