LACEY TO TAKE ON BELLATOR VETERAN AT NEF 28

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA: Lewiston, Maine (Março 7, 2017) – Lutas da Nova Inglaterra (NEF) apresenta seu próximo evento de artes marciais mistas “NEF 28: INVENCÍVEL” no sábado, Abril 29, 2017 no Colisee Androscoggin Bank em Lewiston, Maine. Hoje cedo, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional featherweight bout to the card. Aaron “Implacável” Lacey (4-0) assinou a cara Walter “All-Day” Smith-Cotito (4-5) com um peso de luta de 145 quilos.

Aaron Lacey, undefeated as a professional, has won seven in a row going back to his amateur career. He was prepared to compete at “NEF 27” mês passado, but Mother Nature had other plans when a snowstorm prevented his opponent from making the trip to Lewiston from Florida. The setback has made Lacey even hungrier to return to action, but the Young’s MMA standout knows that he has his toughest test to date in front of him in the form of Cotito.

“This is going to be an amazing fight,” said Lacey. “Walter is a skilled and dangerous opponent, and he is realistically one of the most dangerous people I have fought to date. That’s alright with me though – the tougher the opponent, quanto mais eu trabalho. After what went down in February, I’m chomping at the bit to get back in there.”

The fight for Cotito will represent a rubber match of sorts with Young’s opponents. In the spring of 2013, Cotito took Ray Wood (8-3) deep into the third round before Wood, then Young’s standout featherweight prospect, was able to finish the fight. Cotito would gain a measure of revenge against the Bangor gym when he submitted Bruce Boyington (14-10) em “NEF X” later that year. Between a pair of recent appearances for global fight promotion Bellator, Cotito scored a second-round submission of Elias Leland (3-2) em “NEF 25” setembro passado.

Lewiston, Maine (Agosto 19, 2016) Fights -Nova Inglaterra (NEF) anunciou hoje o card de luta completo para o próximo evento da promoção, “NEF 25: HERÓIS & VILÕES.” Está programado para acontecer no diaSábado, Setembro 10, 2016 em Lewiston. O cartão dinâmico contará com lutas de boxe profissional, bem como artes marciais mistas profissionais e amadores (MMA) concursos.

 

Na parte de encaixotamento do cartão, Brandon Montella (4-0) vai se reunir Tollison Lewis (2-1) em um quatro-redonda concurso light-heavyweight, enquanto o peso médio do Maine de longa data Banheiro “Estrondo” Webster (8-7-1) retorna na véspera de seu 48º aniversário para a batalha Zenon “K-Bar” Herrera (0-2). Completar a parte de boxe profissional do cartão será Casey “Buzzsaw” Desajeitado (4-0-1) e Connor Barry (0-1) em um ataque de quatro rodada.

 

O lado profissional do card de MMA contará com um total de três veteranos do Bellator e um do Invicta. Jesse “O Viking” Erickson (7-5) e Jon Lemke(5-6) revanche a luta anterior vencida por Lemke no Bellator 93 em 2013. Bellator 144 concorrente Walter Smith Cotito (3-4) retorna ao Maine após uma ausência de três anos para atender Elias “Danger Mouse” Leland (2-1), enquanto Valéria “Valociraptor” Aspaas (0-0) ela mesma retorna ao Maine depois de três anos para fazer sua estréia profissional contra a Invicta 16 veterano Sara “SwitchKick” Clique (0-1).

 

Card de MMA amador será protagonizado por duas lutas pelo título. Rafael “Deez Nuts” Velado (3-0) assume Jimmy Jackson (3-2) pelo título vago dos leves amadores. Campeão peso galo amador Johnny Crafts (4-0) aumenta de peso para desafiar Caleb Salão (7-3) pela coroa peso-pena de Hall.

 

O card amador também contará com duas lutas no peso galo feminino com Brianne Genschell (0-0) e Melissa Trahan (0-0) fazendo sua respectiva estréia na gaiola um contra o outro, enquanto Jessica “A viúva negra” Pagamento(2-1) deve se reunir Rachael Joyce (1-0).

LELAND TO FACE RETURNING BELLATOR VETERAN AT NEF 25

Lewiston, Maine (Agosto 18, 2016) - EmSetembro 10, 2016 Lutas da Nova Inglaterra (NEF) returns to Lewiston with its next event, “NEF 25: HERÓIS & VILÕES.” Hoje cedo, NEF announced the addition of a professional bantamweight mixed-martial-arts (MMA) bout to the fight card. Elias “Danger Mouse” Leland (2-1) assinou para atender Walter Smith Cotito (3-4) com um peso de luta de 135 quilos.

 

Six of Leland’s combined seven amateur and professional MMA fights have taken place in the NEF cage. The Portland, Maine resident’s only loss to date in NEF was in his last fight against Jay Perrin (2-2) in the spring of 2015. Late last year, Leland made his pro boxing debut in the NEF ring, taking Josh Parker (0-3-1) to a draw on the judges’ scorecards. He has proven to be strong in both his standup and on the mat. Leland, a member of Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner’s The Academy of MMA in Portland, is a dangerous opponent no matter where a fight ends up.

 

“I have been working hard since last year to become better in every aspect of my game,” Disse Leland. “I can’t wait to test myself on this tough dude. Boa sorte, Walter – and prepare yourself for a hell of a show!”

 

Walter Smith Cotito is no stranger to the NEF cage. Em Setembro 2013, Cotito shocked Maine fans by submitting former NEF MMA Pro Lightweight Champion Bruce Boyington (13-8) in the first round of a bout at “NEF X.” Mais recentemente, Cotito competed at Bellator 144 em Connecticut. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and is based out of Team Link in Hooksett, New Hampshire.

 

“I think this kid is really brave to take a fight with me, but I will make sure I’m his worst nightmare,” exclaimed Cotito when reached for comment.

(Outubro 5, 2015) - Michael Page "Venom" (8-0) olha para permanecer invicto para começar sua carreira emocionante, quando ele enfrenta Charlie Ontiveros (6-3) em um concurso welterweight no "Bellator 144: Galvao vs. Dantas 2” na Arena Mohegan Sun em Uncasville, Conn., em Outubro 23.
