The entertaining American MMA fighter made his M-1 Global debut September 23, 2017 ຢູ່​ໃນM​-1 ທ້າ​ຫມູ່​ຫຼິ້ນ 83, in which he knocked outMikhail Korobkov in the second round. The 31-year-old Landwehr, fighting out of Clarksville, Tennessee, then won a bloody three-round split decision againstViktor Kolesnik to set-up a title challenge for Landwehr.

Landwehr took advantage of his first title shot, knocking out defending championKhamzat Dalgievin the second round of theirM​-1 ທ້າ​ຫມູ່​ຫຼິ້ນ 95 main event. In this battle of former Bellator champions, Shlemenko gained revenge for his Bellator loss to Halsey, by way of a rear-naked-choke in 35-seconds, ໃນ​ເດືອນ​ກັນ​ຍາ 26, 2014.
