By becoming the WBA Interim cruiserweight champion, Shumenov also became the No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger for WBA Super cruiserweight titlist Denis Lebedev (28-2, 21 KOs), who also fights lauantaina in Russia against International Boxing Federation (IBF) mestari Victor Emilio “Tyson de Abasto” Ramirez (22-2-1, 17 KOs) in a unification match.
The WBA has already mandated that the Lebedev-Ramirez must fight Shumenovwithin 120 päivää. I look forward to returning to the ring and my manager, Al HAYMON, has advised me that I will fight in May and we will announce next week.
