2015 Asian WMMAA Championships To be held May 22-25 in Tajikistan

NETHERLANDS (Maggio 14, 2015) – Il 2015 Asian World Mixed Martial Arts Association (WMMAA) Championship will be held May 22-25 at Palace of Sports in Khujand, Tajikistan.

 

Più di 100 athletes are expected to compete as part of teams consisting of eight members (seven athletes and one coach), representing a diverse group of participating countries including Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kirghizistan, Iran, Afghanistan, India and South Korea.

 

Russian MMA Union president and WMMAA honorary president Fedor Emelianenko, arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all-time, will be present at the 2015 Asian WMMMA Championship.

 

“On behalf of World MMA Association,” Fedor said, “I invite ever MMA fan to Tajikistan where the 2015 Asian MMA Championships will be held. I’d like to thank Emomalii Rahmon, the president of Tajikistan, for his boundless support of MMA development in Tajikistan and wish infinite success in the development of our beloved sport across the whole Asian continent.”

 

Athletes and coaches will arrive Sabato, Maggio 23 when physical exams will take place, as well as official weigh-ins and draws, plus a judges/referee seminar. Preliminary and semifinals bouts will be contested the following day (Sat., Maggio 23) with championship matches la Domenica (Maggio 24). Athletes and coaches will departLunedi, Maggio 25.

 

One division has been expanded this year for a total of seven weight classes: peso gallo – 134 ½ lbs. (-61.2 kg), piuma (145 lbs., -65.8 kg), leggero (154 1/2 lbs., -70.3 kg), welter (169 ½ lbs., -77.2 kg), peso medio (185 lbs., -84 kg), pesi massimi leggeri (205 lbs., -93 kg) e dei pesi massimi (206 lbs. or more, +93kg).

 

Khujand is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, dating back to 2500, as well as the second-largest city in Tajikistan. Khuhand has a population of more than 155,000, situated on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of Fergana Valley.

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (Febbraio. 18, 2015) — Presidente M-1 Global Vadim Finkelstein e Artemy Gershvald hanno formalmente annunciato il lancio di un nuovo progetto, M-1 Medieval, che offre pieno contatto professionale giostra combattimenti.

L'originale M-1 lotta medioevale si è svolta agosto 15, 2014 a M-1 sfida 50: Battaglia sul Neva in St. Petersburg, Russia. Mondo cinque volte, 10-Tempo russo campione di scherma storica Sergey Ukolov sconfitto americano Mike Ivey.

Il secondo e terzo M-1 combattimenti medievali accaduto ottobre 17, 2014 a M-1 sfida 52: Battaglia di Nart in Inguscezia, Russia. Guerrieri russi squadrate comeSergei Ukolov battere Maxim Plaksin in una partita, mentre Inguscezia preferito Maxim Plaksin eliminato Demitry Stadnichenko, del Kazakistan, nel secondo turno della loro concorrenza.

Nella quarta M-1 lotta Medieval, Kazakhstan Vladimir “The Bear” Toropov, che rappresenta il Bayard Club, è stato vittorioso sulla Nikolai “The Raven” Potryasov, del Kirghizistan.
