BELLATOR 267: LIMA VS. MVP 2 ADDS CO-MAIN EVENT FOR RETURN TO LONDON

London, UK – A women’s featherweight fight will serve as the co-main event for BELLATOR MMA 267: Lima vs.. MVP 2 ka labohlano, October 1 when No. 5 Thailand Ranked Leah McCourt (5-1) kopana le Jessica Borga (3-3) at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London.

The bout will sit atop the card alongside a must-see rematch between No. 1 Thailand Ranked Douglas “The Phenom” Lima (32-9) le Ha ho. 2 Thailand Ranked Michael "Venom" Page (19-1) where the stylish striker from London will look to avenge the lone blemish on his record in front of his home crowd.

BELLATOR MMA 267: Lima vs.. MVP 2 main card action will kick off at 9 p.m. BST/4 p.m. LE, while the preliminary card begins at 5:30 p.m. BST/12:30 p.m. LE. BELLATOR fans can watch the event live on SHOWTIME (US), BBC iPlayer (UK), as well as both Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Sport (Ireland).

Currently riding a four-fight win streak, Northern Ireland’s Leah McCourt returns to action following a stunning come-from-behind victory against Janay Harding during her last outing at BELLATOR 259 ka Motšeanong. Now sitting at No. 5 in BELLATOR’s featherweight rankings, a win at the expense of her opponent on Oct. 1 will go a long way in moving “The Curse” one step closer to a BELLATOR world title shot against incumbent champion, Cris Cyborg.

Making her third appearance for BELLATOR, Jessica Borga will be competing for the second time in 2021. Morao ka ho fetisisa, “The Black Widow” went 15 minutes with former title challenger Talita Nogueira, following up an impressive submission triumph over Amber Leibrock in her promotional debut.

BELLATOR SIGNS 24 U.K. AND IRELAND-BASED FIGHTERS TO EXCLUSIVE MULTI-FIGHT AGREEMENTS

 

 

Los Angeles – Bellator today announced the signing of 24 U.K. and Ireland-based athletes to bolster the roster as the organization continues its growth initiative in the region, following already-announced plans for an exclusive fight series set to take place throughout the U.K., Ireland and western Europe.

 

Notably, former two-division BAMMA champ Terry Brazier, TUF: The Smashes lightweight winner Norman Parke, popular Irish lightweight Paul Redmond, undefeated SBG Ireland product Kiefer Crosbie and TUF season 27-veteran Richie Smullen, are among the names now signed to exclusive multi-fight agreements with Bellator.

 

“Growing the Bellator organization throughout U.K. and Ireland has been a top priority for us for quite some time,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “Adding up-and-coming, as well as established, talent from the region to our roster plays a crucial role in us being able to take the next steps in this market. Our fans in the U.K. and Ireland can anticipate a much stronger Bellator presence and can look forward to seeing some of western Europe’s best MMA fighters inside the Bellator cage in the near future.”

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship returns to London following a sell out show in April and features the cream of European MMA. Two titles are on the line at the top of the card, for the lightweight and middleweight belts.

Headlining the show is highly ranked Welshman Jack Marshman, who meets the durable Frenchman, Christopher Jacquelin in the contest for the middleweight strap at Cage Warriors 77.
