Las Vegas(April 20, 2021) – Cuban star and WBA Super Welterweight ChampionErislandy “The American Dream” Larapreviewed his quest to become a three-time, two-division champion as he prepares to take onThomas "Cornflake" LaMannafor the WBA Middleweight Title headlining FOX PBC Fight Night and on FOX Deportes Saturday, Mei 1 from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Lara vs. LaManna serves as the main event of a broadcast beginning at 7 p.m. Et / 4 p.m. PT preceding the FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View event headlined by former unified heavyweight world championAndy “The Destroyer” Ruiz Jr.battling all-action heavyweightChris "The ngimpina" Arreola, which tops a stellar boxing extravaganza all taking place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Lara will make his 2021 debut after his last fight saw him defeat Greg Vendetti by unanimous decision on FOX in August, making it three-straight fights without a loss combined with his knockout victory over Ramon Alvarez in August 2019 and a split-draw in a 2019 action fight against current 154-pound champion Brian Castano.

Prior to narrowly dropping 2018’s Fight of the Year to Jarrett Hurd, Lara was established as the longest-reigning 154-pound champion, owning six title defenses. Lara has faced a slew of top names in the division throughout the years, including Canelo Alvarez, Austin lauk trout, Alfredo Angulo, Paul Williams, Ishe Smith and Vanes Martirosyan, in addition to Hurd and Castano.

Here is what Lara had to say about training camp, moving up to middleweight and more:

On this recent training camp:
Training camp has been hard. I am working with my coach Ismael Salas, and things have just been very calculated and scientific. We got great sparring and I’m feeling young in my mind, awak, and soul. I like the way the camp is being managed, and I expect to have a lot of success in this fight based on the preparation I have had in Las Vegas.”

On his matchup with LaManna:
Thomas LaManna is really big and tall and brings a unique style to the ring. This is not an easy fight at all, and I know I will have to be my very best to come out victorious. He has never fought for a world title so I am fighting a person who is looking to accomplish his lifelong dream of becoming a world champion. I am fully prepared, focused, and I’m expecting a tough fight.

On fighting for the vacant WBA middleweight title:
I’m looking to become a two division and three-time world champion. I take great pride in being a fighter that puts everything on the line. I want to face any-and-all challengers, and this will continue May 1. My goal is to be an all-time great and a legend in the sport. I’m moving up in weight to become a world champion and show the world I’m ready for new challenges.”

On what a win will do for his career:
A victory against LaManna will put me in position to challenge the other champions at middleweight. I am looking at unification bouts, I want the biggest bouts possible, but I must win this fight first. There are a lot of meaningful fights at middleweight, and I want them all. I want to be a Hall-of-Famer and go down as one of the best Cuban boxers to ever do it. For my legacy to be thought of that way, I have to fight the best.

J Russell Peltz reflects on his favorite fights in Atlantic City

Peltz is the matchmaker for 24th Pébruari card at The Showboat Hotel featuring Thomas LaManna and Gabriel Bracero

Atlantik Kota – Pebruari 20, 2018Boxing in Atlantic City has been prevalent for more than 45 taun. One man who has been in the center of a lot of the action on the boardwalk has been International Boxing and Atlantic City Boxing Hall-of-Fame promoter and matchmaker J Russell Peltz.

The Philadelphia legend, who has promoted scores of cards in the shore town, is making matches for the Pebruari 24 card at The Showboat Hotel that will feature Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna vs. Jibril “Tito” Bracero in a 10-round battle for the WBC Fecarbox Welterweight championship.

I did my first fight in 1973,said Peltz, who has run shows in just about every property in Atlantic City.

It is only fitting that Peltz is the matchmaker with promoter Rising Star Promotions in the South Jersey based promotional outfit’s effort to bring Atlantic City back to prominence as the the premier fight destination on the East Coast.

Peltz is hoping LaManna-Bracero is added to the memorable bouts that Peltz has been involved in Atlantic City:

1. Agustus 31, 1981 at The Sands HotelFrank Fletcher vs Ernie Singletary.(PRISM)

The fight was televised by local cable channel PRISM (Jim Barniak and Bob Wright, both deceased, did the commentary) and it was for Fletcher’s USBA middleweight title.

This was the most brutal fight I ever saw, even more brutal than Matthew Saad Muhammad-Marvin Johnson I. This was a closet classic since few saw it on PRISM. The fight was toe-to-toe for seven rounds, no knockdowns, until ringside doctor stopped it between the seventh and eighth round. They could have fought this one in a phone booth.

Singletary was taken to hospital after fight.

“Saterusna, when we couldn’t find Fletcher, we broke into his hotel room, and he was out cold on the floor. We couldn’t get an ambulance so we (Marty Feldman and I) put him in the back of a police wagon and rode with him to the hospital where the doctor told us if we hadn’t found him he would have been dead.

Singletary kept saying in the pre-fight buildup that no 12-2 TV fighter was gonna beat him. This was a reference to Fletcher getting into the first ESPN tournament and winning while Singletary had been plying his trade for years (24-2 terus) and never got that kind of exposure, just on PRISM. Saleresna, Fletcher already had been on NBC once, beating Norberto Sabater.

2. September 9, 1980 from ResortsMike Rossman vs. Al Bolden (PRISM)

Ex-WBA light-heavyweight Rossman was getting beat up every round for 8 1/2 rounds against Al Bolden, of Pittsburgh, Pa, and finally found a little light late in round 9 and came on to knock Bolden out at 2:32 of the 10th round and salvage the win. Bolden took the second knockdown in the 10th on his knees.

3. Maret 13, 1983 from ResortsJeff ChandlerGaby Canizalez (ABC)

Jeff Chandler, in the most brilliant performance of his Hall-of-Fame career out-boxed, out-punched and out-muscled future champion Gaby Canizales, of Texas, di luhur 15 rounds to defend his WBA bantamweight title for the seventh time by unanimous decision. No one thought he could stand up under Canizalesbody attack but it was Chandler’s body and head attack that kept Canizales at bay for the entire fight. Just magnificent.

4. Maret 2, 1985 from the Sands HotelGary Hinton vs Aaron Pryor (ABC)

Unknown lefty Gary Hinton gave IBF 140 pound world champ Aaron Pryor all he could handle, but a 14th-round knockdown helped Pryor gain a 15-round split decision with Sylvester Stallone in attendance. He was our partner at the time with Pryor. It was Pryor’s last successful title defense.

5. Nopember 19, 2011 from BallysGarrett Wilson vs. Chuck Mussachio

Moving from light heavyweight to cruiserweight, Mussachio appeared to have out-boxed Wilson for 11 rounds in their USBA cruiserweight title fight, but Wilson drilled Mussachhio with a monstrous overhand right 41 seconds into the 12th round for the knockout win.

Besides LaManna vs. Bracero, a terrific undercard has been assembled featuring undefeated fighters: light-heavyweight Frederick Julan (8-0, 6 KOs), tina Brooklyn, Ny; super middleweight Darren Goodall (5-0, 4 KOs), tina Anyar Milford, NJ; middleweight Omar Kabary Salem (1-0), tina Brooklyn, Ny; super lightweight Jahmal Dyer (4-0, 2 KOs), of Baltimore, MD.

Back on January 20th, Lopez was right there when he took on Daniel Roman in what was a WBA title elimination bout in Atlantic City.
Unfortunately for Lopez, he came up on the short end of that fight, tapi Saptu peuting he returns to Atlantic City when he takes on Jorge Diaz in an eight-round bout for the WBC Fecarbox Super Bantamweight title at The Claridge Hotel.

Camp was good. I am just taking off the last few pounds. I take my weight off slowly, and be comfortable, and then I rehydrate the right way,” Ngadawuh Lopez.
Lopez knows a win over the tough Diaz would get him right back in contention in the 122 division pound.
I think a win gets me back to the place where I was at before the Roman fight. I will be knocking on the door of a title fight.
Diaz is a rough fighter, and I expect a tough fight from him. He has some good wins, and even though he has lost a few fights, four of them have been to undefeated fighters and the other was to a fighter with one loss, so I expect and I am preparing for the best Jorge Diaz.
I just want everyone to come out on November 18th, and I will put on a good show.

Atlantik City, NJ (Nopember 14, 2017)–The stakes have grown for the exciting co-feature bout between Raymond Serrano jeung undefeated Enver Halili at the Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The ten-round bout will be contested for the WBC Fecarbox Welterweight title.
The card is promoted by Rising Promotions, Nagreg Cohen promosi, & Winner Take All Productions.
Serrano of Philadelphia has been training at the famed Wildcard Gym, and has had a terrific camp.
Camp has been very good, I am just dropping the last couple pounds. I have been sparring with Miguel Cotto and some of the top MMA fighters as well. I have one of the top trainer’s in the gym Ernie Zavala working my corner,” Ngadawuh Serrano.
Serrano has trained in Philadelphia and Puerto Rico all over the world and has noticed a difference working out at one of the most famous gyms world.
The difference in training at Wild Card is that there are so many good fighters there and everywhere you look there is a top level fighter who si working hard.
In Halili he knows he is in with a fighter who is coming to win and bring the best out of Serrano.
I really don’t know too much about him. I saw some old footage of him, and I can see that he is a boxer. He is undefeated, so he is coming to win and that should make for a good fight.
It was five years ago when Serrano was a prize prospect with an 18-0 catetan, and he was on the brink of major fights, before a stretch where Serrano was able to go just 5-4, yet Serrano believes that he is just a win or two away from a major fight.
I feel like with a win, I am just a phone call away from a big fight. Even thought I am not ranked, I know I can compete with the big names of the division. This win should get me the belt and also the rankings. I just want to continue to climb the ladder. People forget that I am just 28 years-old and I am in my prime. Little by little with my manager Mark Cipparone. I just want to let everyone know that this Saturday, November 18th there will be a new WBC Fecarbox champion, and that will be me, Raymond “Tito” Serrano.
