LAS VEGAS (Out 15, 2016) – “Knockout Night at the D” returns to Las Vegas with the fourth series installment of the popular professional boxing series,Vandredi lannwit, Septanm 9, ond (11 p.m. AK / 8 p.m. PT) ap viv sou CBS Espò Network from the outdoor Downtown Las Vegas Evènman Sant
(DLVEC).
Nan “Knockout Night at the D” seri, presented byD Las Vegas la and DLVEC, is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Pwomosyon boksè.
Hall Of Fame announcers Jim “J.R.” Ross ak Al Bernstein will call all of the action from ringside on CBS Sports Network.
Undefeated prospect Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (15-0-1, 5 Ko), fighting out of San Diego, faces Canadian welterweight champion Steve “The Dragon” CLAGGETT (33-4-1, 16 Ko) in the 10-round main event for the vacant North American Boxing Association (Epitou) – United States junior welterweight championship.
The 28-year-old Robles is a former WBC Latino super lightweight champion, as well as a 2008 National PAL gold medalist. The gifted southpaw has reeled-off 11consecutive victories since his 2012 draw with 7-0 Adrian Vargas. NABA No. 1 contender Robles’ signature win to date was last year’s second-round stoppage of Leon Spinks III, grandson of former heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist Leon Spinks, who left the ring on a stretcher. Also notable are winning decisions versus 15-1 Yordenis Ugas ak 13-1 Jonathan Chicas. His last fight was a fourth-round technical knockout of Gerardo Cuevas sa a sot pase me.
CLAGGETT, 27, is coming off of a disputed 10-round majority decision loss to Chris Van Heerden (23-2-1) last April at the DLVEC. Fighting out of Calgary, Alberta, Claggett is dropping down one weight class in order to challenge junior welterweight Robles for the vacant NABA – United States title.

In a rare battle of unbeaten prospects, Roland “Rola” Garza (9-0, 6 Ko) meets popular California junior middleweight Neeco “The Rooster” Macias (12-0, 6 Ko) in the 8-round co-feature.
Garza, 24, was an outstanding amateur boxer in Mexico, where he compiled a 120-12 dosye, earning a spot on the Mexican National Team. Sa a jen sot pase, Garza won a thrilling 6-round decision over previously unbeaten Erasmo Garcia (5-0-1) at the DLVEC.

The always entertaining Macias, 25, who crows like a rooster in the ring before and after fights, had fans on their feet in his last fight, which was a non-stop brawl at the DLVEC with Limberth Ponce this past April, ending in a unanimous 8-round decision for Macias.

LAS VEGAS (Me 16, 2016) -“Battle Born Boxing: Uprising II” is on tap Friday night, Me 20, starting at 7 p.m. PT, at the outdoor Downtown Las Vegas Evènman Sant.

“Battle Born Boxing” is an amateur boxing series created by Neon Star Media on behalf of its client, D Las Vegas la, to support amateur boxing in Nevada, as well as provide a platform for amateur boxers from other states to compete against local clubs and boxers.
Las Vegas-based boxing clubs represented at “Battle Born Boxing: Uprising II” includes Barry’s Boxing, Richard Steel Boxing Club and Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Boxing.

LAS VEGAS (Avril 16, 2016) – Former IBO World welterweight champion Chris “Chalè an” Van Heerden put himself back into title contention position, winning a 10-round majority decision over Steve “The Dragon” CLAGGETT in this evening’s main event, under the neon lights at the Downtown Las Vegas Evènman Sant(DLVEC) outdoor venue.
Nan “Knockout Night at the D” seri, which airs live on CBS Espò Network, is presented by D Las Vegas la and DLVEC), ankouraje pa Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Pwomosyon boksè and returns Samdi aswè, Me 21.
Van Heerden (23-1-1, 12 Ko), fighting out of Santa Monica, California by way of South Africa, used his 3-inch height advantage against Claggett (23-3-1, 16 Ko), the Canadian champion from Calgary, Alberta.
Neither fighter was hurt during the fight, in which there were continual back-and-forth exchanges of stinging combinations. Claggett battled to apply pressure in order to fight on the inside, while Van Heerden fought effectively from the outside.
The two evenly-matched welterweights patiently waited for the official announcement: 95-95 ak 97-93 twice for Van Heerden.
“I knew I won this fight, 120-pousan, but I knew it was close,” Van Heerden commented. “We’re both winners aswè a because of it was so close and we entertained the crowd. Me and Claggett entertained the crowd…..we delivered. I’ve been through so much and the lord helped me get this win. I look forward to a rematch, but I want to move forward.”
Undefeated California junior middleweight Neeco “The Rooster” Macias (12-0, 6 Ko) had a lot to crow about in the 8-round co-feature against Limberth “El Gallito” Ponce, Jr.(10-3, 8 Ko). Macias thoroughly dominated the action, firing non-stop shots from every conceivable angle. His unrelenting pressure enabled Macias, whose come-forward approach made him an instant fan favorite, to control the fight from start to finish for a unanimous decision.
“I knew he was going to be the toughest fighter I’ve fought,” Macias said. “I give Ponce much respect. We wanted to give fans a good show.”
Baltimore welterweight Malik “Iceman” Hawkins (7-0, 6 Ko) te bay Errol “Spyda” Sidney (6-2-2, 2 Ko) a beating, fully displaying his arsenal of punches, hurting his gutsy opponent on several occasions. Hawkins’ aggressive style early in the fight broke-down Sidney, who was nearly finished at the end of the fourth and fifth rounds. Hawkins trapped Sidney a neutral corner at the start of the sixth round and a powerful uppercut sent Sidney down to a knee. Sidney beat referee Jay Nady‘s count but the veteran official had seen enough and he halted the bout 1:02 into the sixth.
“We’re back,” Hawkins proclaimed after the bout. I’d give myself an 8 ½ this fight.”
Las Vegas’ promising prospect Randy Moreno (2-0, 1 KO) outclassed Oregon junior lightweight Derek Barthemay (0-3) from the opening bell for a 4-round unanimous decision.
Flashy Las Vegas welterweight prospect Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (3-0, 2 Ko) constantly pounded the body of his tough Mexican opponent, Jason “Gibbor” Gavino (3-2, 2 Ko), for a 4-round shutout victory,
Las Vegas’ Sal Lopez (2-0) dropped a game Matt “The KO Kid” Murphy (0-2), a junior lightweight from St. Louis, in the opening round on his way to an impressive one-sided win by way of a unanimous 4-round decision.

Created to support amateur boxing in Nevada, “Battle Born Boxing” also provides a platform for amateur boxers from other states to compete against local clubs and boxers.

LAS VEGAS – “Knockout Night at the D,” the boxing fight card to feature headliners Zab Judah vs. Josh Torres at the Downtown Las Vegas Evènman Sant (DLVEC), has been cancelled for Samdi, Mas 12.
Derek Stevens, CEO of D Las Vegas la and DLVEC, di, “Last night, I received multiple calls from the Nevada Athletic Commission regarding eligibility concerns. After our discussions, it became apparent the fight card could not move forward. Although I’m disappointed with the situation, I appreciate the phone calls and look forward to working with the Nevada Athletic Commission on future boxing events at the DLVEC.”
