In the 12-round main event, super Middleweight Bruno Sandoval (20-2-1, 16 Kos), who recently signed with Sugar Promotions, picked up a first round TKO over Devis Caceres (28-9-3, 19 Kos) capturing the WBC Latino Silver Super Middleweight title in the process. Velazco was set to face Devis Caceres (24-8, 19 Kos) for the vacant WBC Silver Super Middleweight Title at the “Feria de Campeones” card promoted by Sugar Promotions, but pulled out at the last minute, putting the entire card in jeopardy.

After signing the contract, Velazco pulled out of the fight, leaving everyone involved scrambling for a replacement. This kind of conduct will not be tolerated, and legal action will be addressed. Velazco will be prosecuted by the full extent of the law, and he is not welcome to fight in this city ever again.”

Velazco, who hails from Aguascalientes, Mexico, rallied from an early first round knockdown, which was more of an off-balance circumstance. Williams survived the round but was walking on wobbly legs. The duo also signed promotional agreements with Damien Vazquez’ Qab zib Promotions.
