The 33-year-old Terrazas, who hadn’t fought since his losing his WBC title nearly three years ago to Liūtas Santa Cruz, captured the vacant WBC crown in 2013, taking a 12-round split decision from fellow Mexican great Cristian Mijares. Terrazas also holds a notable victory by way of a unanimous 12-round decision over another Mexican boxing icon, 5-laikas, 3-pasidalijimas pasaulio čempionas Fernando MontieL, for the vacant WBC Silver super bantamweight championship.
