SANT PETERSBURG, Rússia (Abril 23, 2018)) – Russian heavyweight star Sergei Kharitonov returns to The Rage on May 24 al titular M-1 Desafiament 92 at M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Rússia.

 

 

 

Kharitonov (27-6-0, M-1: 5-0-0) faces his fellow countryman, upset-minded Anton Vyazigin(9-2-1, M-1: 4-1-0), in this Heavyweight SuperFight.

El 6′ 4″, 258-pound Kharitonov is undefeated in five M-1 Challenge events having defeated Geronino dos Santos (SUB1 – ankle lock), Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (KO1 – ponx), l'ex campió de pes pesat M-1 Desafiament Kenny “Diable” Granero dues vegades, at M-1Desafiament 59 a 2015 at Kazakhstan (WTKO1 – cops) i M-1 Desafiament 53 a 2013 at China, (KO/TKO3 – injury), i per Alexei Kudin a M-1 Desafiament 43 a 2013 Rússia (KO2).

 

 

 

The 37-year-old Kharitonov, has defeated some of the greatest heavyweight MMA fighters of all-time, Incloent Alister Overeem, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum i Pedro Rizzo. Kharitonov has also fought in Strikeforce, K-1, Bellator and PRIDE.

 

 

 

Vyazigin, who stands 6′ 5″ and weights 250-pounds, is coming off a sensational 16-seconds knockout of Zaur Gadzhibabayev this past March at M-1 Desafiament 89.

 

 

 

One other main card fight has been announced as striker Giga Kukhalashvili (9-3-0, M-1: 2-0-0) meets undefeated Khadis Ibragimov (3-0-0. M-1: 1-0-0) in a battle of undefeated Russian light heavyweights.

 

 

 

A la cartellera preliminar, French lightweight Mickael “Ragnar” Lebout (17-8-2, 1 NC, M-1: 1-0-0) meets rising Russian prospect Pavel Gordeev (10-1-0, M-1: 4-0-0). Lebout vs. Gordeev was scheduled to happed at M-1 Desafiament 87, but Lebout was injured during training camp, forcing the Frenchman out of that fight. Lebout’s M-1 debut at M-1 Desafiament 89 resulted in a win by first-round knockout of Sergey Faley. Gordeev is riding a three-fight win streak, all ending in unanimous decisions.

You have been training on the same team for so many years. How would you describe Mikhail as an athlete?

Volkov: “He works very hard as a fighter, completes all workouts to the end, and is among the last to leave the gym.”
What did you learn from him during sparring and training sessions?
Volkov: “How to work to the utmost extent, both in training and in combat. When I watch Mikhail train, he inspires me to work harder and not to be lazy.. We always have small competitions while training and we push each other to work even harder.”
Which of you is more helpful to preparing for battle?
Volkov: “When Michael had no fights, he helped me a lot, per descomptat. In my training camp, he was like a wrestling coach, helping me work on physical exercises as well. I would say that during these last few years, he was more involved in my training than I was in his. Però, now he has an upcoming fight and I’m fully involved in his preparations. SANT PETERSBURG, Rússia (Juny 28, 2017 – M-1 Global has announced a sensational heavyweight shodeown between two International stars, Sergei “El Paracaigudista” Kharitonov i Geronimo “Mondragon” Dos Santos, at the July 22nd M-1 Desafiament 81: Battle in the Mountains 6, to be held in the Republic of Ingushetia.
The international MMA event will coincide with the 25º anniversary celebration of the Republic of Ingushetia.
The M-1 Challenge bantamweight championship fight between defending champion Pavel Vitruk (14-2-0), and interim titlist Movsar Evloev (7-0, M-1: 7-0) had been previously announced for M-1 Desafiament 81.

The two giant heavyweights fighting on the card are each world ranked by Fightmatrix, both preferring early endings as they have 40 combined knockouts. This exciting duel is a fitting addition for such a grand tournament like M-1 Desafiament 81: The Battle of the Mountains 6.
Russian strongman Kharitonov (24-6-0, M-1: 4-0-0) is coming off a devastating, one-punch knockout of American Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in the opening round of their main event fight, Juny 15 de la Xina, a M-1 Desafiament 80. HARBIN, Xina (Juny 16, 2017) – MMA heavyweight star Sergei Kharitonov continued his dominance in M-1 Global competition, noquejar Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou midway through the opening round of last night’s M-1 Desafiament 80 esdeveniment principal, held in Harbin, Xina.
Cameroon-native Sokoudjou (18-8-0, M-1: 0-1-0), fighting out of the United States, was nailed on the chin by a straight right thrown by Kharitonov (25-6-0, M-1: 4-0-0), who immediately jumped on top of his fallen foe, firing two more powerful hammer-punches to the head, until the referee halted the action.

SANT PETERSBURG; Rússia (Juny 2, 2017) — MMA estrella Alejandro “Tempesta” Shlemenko needed only 25 seconds to avenge a loss to middleweight Brandon “Toro” Halsey in last night’s M-1 Desafiament 79 headliner at Saint Petersburg, Rússia.
M-1 Desafiament 79 was a part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum’s Cultural Program. Nine different countries were represented in this International event: Rússia, EUA, Regne Unit, Israel, Brasil, Kirguizistan, Alemanya, Corea del Sud, Ucraïna.
Shlemenko (56-7-0, M-1: 6-0-0) came out for the opening bell with force, unloading a series of powerful kicks and punches to the body of an overwhelmed Halsey (9-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0), who made his M-1 Global debut, and he was unable to make it past the 25-seconds mark of the opening round.
In this battle of former Bellator champions, Shlemenko gained revenge for his Bellator loss to Halsey, by way of a rear-naked-choke in 35-seconds, al setembre 26, 2014.

American bantamweight “The Finisher” Josh Rectificació Casa (15-4-0, M-1: 3-0-0) remained unbeaten in M-1 Global competition, submitting previously undefeatedBakhtiyar “Baha” Toychubaev (6-1-1, M-1: 0-1-0) in the second round with a rear-naked choke.
