The 6’7″, 285-pound Mitchell has been a fixture at New York fights for decades, working the corners of champions, contenders, prospects and journeymen alike. He is a protégé of the late, great Al Gavin, considered by many as one of the greatest cut-men in boxing history.

Day is stepping in for Higgins, who is unable to attend due to an amateur boxing engagement, as one of the Ring 8 June speakers.
