This Friday showdown vs. unbeaten NABO champion Yomar “The Magic” Alamo

LAS VEGAS (Februari 27, 2020) – Undefeated super lightweightKendo "Enorme" Castaneda (17-0, 8 KO) flew into Orlando from his native San Antonio this past Tuesday night on his first visit to Florida.

Unlike millions of people who go to Orlando for Disneyworld, hoewel, Castaneda’s initial look at palm trees is simply part of his business trip. Castaneda challenges North American Boxing Organization (BUURMAN) kampioenYomar “The Magic” Alamo (17-0-1, 12 KO) in this Friday night’s 10-round main event, airing live on Boxeo Telemundo, vanaf 11:30 p.m. EN / 8:30 p.m. PT, from Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.

Alamo vs. Castaneda is co-promoted by All-Star Boxing, which promotes Alamo and the event, and Castaneda’s promoter, Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boksen Promotions.

“It’s pretty cool here,” Castaneda shared his first impressions of Florida. “A guy working for the promoter met us at the airport to film my arrival and interview me, so it’s been a welcoming experience, and people in Florida know I’m in the house. I like it here. It’s nice and in a way, I feel like I’m at home. I’m going to put on a show for fans, I’m going to be like their Disney World. I’m ready for the big ride and to put on a great show for the people.”

Castaneda captured the vacant North American Boxing Association (Ook) crown a year ago, taking a 10-round decision from previously undefeatedGilbert Venegas, Jr.(10-0), and followed that with an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over Dominican veteranEudy Berbardo (24-3).

Last October in Reno, Nevada, Castaneda stoppedStan Martyniouk (20-3) in the sixth round, after which he was installed by the World Boxing Organization as its No. 15 rated super lightweight in the world.

WBO No. 8 ranked Alamo, fighting out of Puerto Rico, is coming off the only blemish on either fighter’s pro record, fighting to a draw withAntonio Moran (24-4-1).

Alamo, 24, is the former World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth World and FECARBOX super lightweight champion, who has made three successful NABO title defenses.

“After this fight,” Castaneda concluded, “people are going to forget this Alamo (not the famous Alamo in Castaneda’s hometown) and remember me, The Tremendous One. I expect the fight t to end in a spectacular knockout in my favor, late in the fight, because I like to punish my opponent.”

MARIO BARRIOS HONORED BY COMMISSIONERS COURT IN SAN ANTONIO HAS BIG PLANS TO BRING WORLD TITLE FIGHT TO HIS HOMETOWN

SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 17, 2019) – WBA super lightweight champion, Mario “El Azteca” Buurten (25-0, 16 KO), continues to receive accolades from his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Op september 28, 2019, Barrios defeated Batyr Akhmedov, winning the vacant WBA World Title, becoming the first world champion from San Antonio als laatste 25 jaar.

Vandaag, Barrios was honored with a special recognition at the Commissioners Court. Commissioner Justin Rodriguez from Bexar County, Precinct 2, who sponsored the ceremony, was joined by his colleagues on Commissioners Court in San Antonio and presented Barrios with a proclamation.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Commissioners Court here in my hometown of San Antonio,” Said Barrios. “It’s been a nice ride since winning my world title. I’ve been meeting some very influential people, and these are individuals that are making a difference in San Antonio. Today was incredible and I want to thank everyone for all their support.”

Barrios has been active in his community since becoming a world champion. In Oktober, Barrios joined Shoe Palace and gave way shoes to thirty families at the Boys and Girls Club.

“I think being a positive role model is important, so I’m going to join forces with everyone, to help make San Antonio a better place for our youth,” Barrios voortgezet. “Building a strong community is what’s important at the end of the day, and I’ll be here to help out. Spoedig, I’ll be having a big fight in San Antonio, and I’m going to make sure tickets are priced reasonable so everyone can come out and enjoy the fights. It would be nice to see the support from the fans, that’s what gets me excited. I cant wait to fight in San Antonio.”

DAVIES ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES JAMES KIRKLAND CO-PROMOTIONAL DEAL WITH WARRIORS BOXING

San Antonio, Texas – Davies Entertainment is proud to announce that knockout artist James Kirkland (34-2, 30 KO) has signed a two year, six fight co-promotional deal with Warriors Boxing (who have worked on previous fight cards with the likes of PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, Etc) . After a four year layoff, Kirkland returned to the ring in August of 2019 and has won his first two fights convincingly by way of knockout.


Kirkland has been one of boxing’s most explosive fighters with his sights set on lining up a huge fight with major contenders in 2020 and gradually working his way back into world title contention. This deal will provide the vicious southpaw the opportunity of achieving that and more.


“My only goal has been to get back on top and with this kind of team surrounding me I feel like it’s only a matter of time before it happens,” said Kirkland.


Kirkland will be in attendance at tonight’s Terrence Crawford fight in New York.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Augustus 5, 2019) – Afgelopen zaterdag in het Alzafar-heiligdom in San Antonio, TX, Vrouwelijke lichtgewicht mededinger, Selina “Aztec Queen” Buurten verbeterd (6-1, 3 KO) na knock-out Nina Gallegos met een vicieuze body shot gewoon 42 seconden in de eerste ronde. MATAMOROS, MEXICO (Mei 30, 2019) – Prince Ranch Boxing 18-year-old featherweight sensation, Ricky medina (3-0 2KO) San Antonio, Texas, will return to the ring this Friday for his fourth professional bout at The Casa Ahida Cafeteria Gourmet in Heroica Matamoros, Mexico.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 16, 2019) – Undefeated NABF Women’s lightweight champion, Selina “Aztec Queen” Buurten (5-0, 2 KO), returns to the ring April 27, 2019, tegen de voormalige wereldkampioen, Melissa “The Shark” Hernandez (22-7-3, 7 KO). Buurten, who has defeated three undefeated fighters in a row, last fought in September of 2018. She is eager to get back in the ring against a game opponent like Hernandez, who has been in the ring with many of the best female boxers in the world.

“I have a lot of respect for Melissa Hernandez, who has been a big part of growing women’s boxing over the years,” Said Barrios, who resides in San Antonio, Texas. “This fight is going to be a classic Mexican vs. Purto Rican war. No disrespect to her, but I’m coming with straight heat, with the mindset of beating her down. This is the hurt game and that’s what I plan to do to Hernandez when she steps in the ring with me. None of these girls want to see me.”

“We know Melissa Hernandez is a dangerous fighter with a lot of experience,” Said Barrios’ advisor Kerry Daigle. “Once DAZN sees this fight we feel it will be the swing bout on TV. Barrios is extremely TV friendly.”

SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 1, 2018) – Last night at the Scottish Rite Theatre in San Antonio, TX, TMB & PRB Entertainment en Roy Jones Jr. Boksen Promotions, gepresenteerd, “Whose ‘0’ Will Go 2”, waar Kendo Castaneda (15-0, 7 KO) captured the NABA super lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory Gilbert Venegas Jr. (10-1, 6 KO), handing him his first loss as a professional.
In the early rounds, both fighters were having their moments, landing hard shots, but as the fight progressed, Castaneda started to get in a grove by going to the body. Venegas held his own but couldn’t get his punches off like he wanted too, and Castaneda started to take over the fight. In the later rounds, Castaneda was landing three punch combinations, while boxing from a distance, finishing the fight strong. At the end of the ten-round fight, Kendo was up big on the judge’s cards. Scorekaarten lezen 98-92, 99-91,100-90, all in favor of Castaneda.
6-Round Co-Main Event for Vacant ABF Middleweight Title
Local hero, Luey Villareal (4-0-1, 1 KO) captured the ABF middleweight title with a stunning TKO against Michael Klekotta (2-4, 1 KO). Villareal broke down Klekotta for the first three rounds before stopping him with a barrage of punches in the fourth round. The time was at the 1:20 mark.
4-Round Super Featherweight
18-jaar oude sensatie, Ricky medina (2-0, 2 KO), scored a second-round KO over Jorge De Leon (0-5). Medina landed a powerful uppercut in the middle of round two, sending De Leon to the canvas. He then followed with a devastating right hook to the temple, knocking out De Leon at the 2:58 mark.
4-Round Super Featherweight Bout
Xavier Wilson (9-0, 1 KO) remained undefeated with a unanimous decision victory against vs Gelacio Cruz (2-4-3, 1 KO). Wilson used lateral movement to land his punches off angles.Scorecards read 40-36 tweemaal en 39-36 for Wilson.
4-Round Middleweight Bout

4-Round Middleweight
In a battle of middleweight prospects, Washington Luiz (1-0, 1 KO), who was making his pro debut, scored a fourth round TKO against David Godley (1-1). Luiz was circling to his right, landing accurate counter punches throughout the fight. RICHARD “EL CASTIGO” MEDINA READY TO SHINE IN 2ND PRO FIGHT

SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 8, 2018) – Amateur standout and 5-Time National Champion, Ricky “El Castigo” Medina (1-0, 1 KO), die wordt beheerd door Prince Ranch Boxing’s Greg Hannley en gepromoot door TMB & PRB Entertainment, is scheduled to return to the ring on December 1, 2018, at the Scottish Rite Theatre in San Antonio, TX. “I’m eager to get back in the ring and give my hometown fans another great performance,” said Ricky Medina, who scored a third-round TKO in his pro debut. “I’m working hard in the gym and I’ll be at my best when I step in the ring. The ultimate goal will be to score another knockout.”

 

 

 

At only 18-years old, Medina, who is a senior at Lanier High School in San Antonio, gives his thoughts on being a professional fighter while still attending high school.

 

 

 

“It’s great that I’m able to fight professionally while I’m still in high school, because I have a lot of friends that come to see me fight.” Medina continued. “I’m hoping to have a bunch of teachers attend as well. I’m starting to build up a nice fan base. I’m hoping it grows with each fight.”

Daniel “Het Beest” Baiz Returns This Saturday in San Antonio

DANIEL “THE BEAST” BAIZ

SAN ANTONIO, TX (Oktober 25, 2018) – Prince Ranch bokser Daniel “Het Beest” Baiz (12-1, 5 KO), will return to action this Saturday, Oktober 27, 2018 at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas. Baiz will face Leonardo Esquivel Carrizal (5-4-1, 2 KO) in a 4-round bout and vowed to fight at welterweight by the start of 2019. This fight will be at a catch weight of 150 lbs.

 

 

 

“I know what I have to do to become one of the best fighters in the world and part of that is making the right choices to fight at the right weight,” said Baiz. “I know that fighting at welterweight will give me the best possible chance to win a world title. I’m looking forward to fighting in front of my hometown fans once again this Saturday.”
