SEPTEMBER 22nd, 2020 NEW YORK CITY – Former Olympian and #1 ranked IBF light heavyweight contender Meng Fanlong (16-0, 10 KOs) is now a promotional free agent after reaching a separation agreement with Roc Nation.

“I’m very happy to be a free agent," said Meng. “I have the best team around me, my advisors Terry and Tommy Lane, my trainer Shaun George, my attorney Scott Shaffer and my Chinese representative Kurt Li. They are building a solid plan for my career and I am really looking forward to the future. I am still the mandatory challenger in the IBF. Aynu aad u hesho on!"

Last summer, Meng earned the IBF’s #1 ranking with a 2019 victory over then-undefeated Adam Deines. Sidaas darteed, Meng was set to fight unified champion Artur Beterbiev on March 28th, 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic KO’d the bout. In late 2018, Meng traveled to Monte Carlo and stopped British contender Frank Buglioni in five rounds, sending Buglioni into retirement. His most recent fight was a second-round stoppage of Gilberto Rubio that was not televised anywhere.

Despite his undefeated record and stellar amateur background highlighted by representing his native China at the 2012 Kulan Olympic, Meng remains relatively unknown in the United States. His current team intends for that to change soon.

“We can’t wait for people to see him fight;" said Meng’s advisor, Tommy Lane. “He is one of the best fighters in boxing today and is yet to fight on a major platform, and that’s a shame. We hope to change that very soon. We are currently feilding different opportunities for Fanlong.”

Philadelphia, PA (October 8, 2018) – This past Saturday night, Darmani Rock remained perfect by stopping Pedro Julio Rodriguez in round four of a scheduled eight-round heavyweight fight that headlined a seven-bout card at The 2300 Arena ee Philadelphia.

Good looking prospect Jeremy Cuevas won a six-round unanimous decision over Jerome Rodriguez in a lightweight bout.

 

 

 

Cuevas was cut from around his left eye in the third round from an accidental headbutt. In was the right eye of Rodriguez that started leaking blood in the same round. Cuevas started putting his dazzling combinations together, but Rodriguez showed a good chin.

Milwaukee, Wisc. (August 17, 2016)–Luis “CUBA” ARIAS will take on battle tested Darryl Cunningham (33-8, 13 KO ee) for the USBA Middleweight title this Habeenkii Sabtida ee Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee.
Also on the bill will be two more Roc Nation fighters that are managed by Victory Sports & Entertainment in undefeated prospects, super khafiifa SONNY FREDRICKSON iyo featherweight TYLER MCCREARY.

Arias (15-0, 7 KO ee) of Milwaukee, was a highly touted amateur who was a 2008 iyo 2010 national champion, and he will be will be looking for his first professional title and a ranking in the IBF.

In Cunningham, Arias is fighting a 14 year veteran who has wins over former world title challengers Antwun Echols and Rubin Williams.

This will be the 2nd consecutive fight for the 26 year-old Arias in his hometown where he has proven to be a bona fide attraction and ticket seller.

On June 4, Arias stopped Jorge Silva in three rounds at the same venue and had Milwaukee fight fans eager for him to return.

Fredrickson of Toledo has a record of 13-0 sagaal group, will make his third start of 2016.

The 22 year-old power puncher, recently identified by Ring Magazine as one of the new faces to keep an eye on in the sport, continues to develop as he will take on the tough veteran Ramesis Gil.

Gil has wins over previously undefeated Carney Bowman & Luis Joel Gonzales.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rock was brought to a local boxing ring by his father at age twelve after he lost a street fight to neighborhood bullies. Rock cites his father, Wayne “Wiz” McLeod, as his greatest inspiration.

 

Rock has received high praise for his powerful jab and ambidexterity. Standing at 6’4”, he moves with an unparalleled lightness and speed for a fighter his size. Rock earned nation-wide accolades following a banner year in 2014 when he took home the USA Boxing Junior and Youth Open, Youth Continental and Youth World super heavyweight titles.

 

During the 2014 Junior and Youth Open in Reno, Nevada, Rock shut out the 2013 National Youth Champion, John Luna, 3-0. This impressive performance was followed by another super heavyweight title at the Youth Continental Championships in March 2014 in Quito, Ecuador where he defeated Argentina’s Kervin Espinola 3-0. Rock then took home the gold medal at the prestigious World Youth Championships in Bulgaria in April 2014 by a 2-1 decision over Germany’s Peter Kadiru. Rock also took home the 2014 World Junior Amateur Championship and capped off 2014 by being named Philadelphia’s Amateur Boxer of the Year at the annual Briscoe Awards. His most noteworthy win, Si kastaba ha ahaatee, came in May 2015 when he beat Cam Awesome, a career amateur who has been called the next Chris Byrd, in Las Vegas for the National Golden Gloves title. Awesome, who touts a near-perfect record over the past eight years and three Golden Gloves titles of his own, is considered one of the toughest amateur boxers to beat in a three round bout. Rock also captured the 2015 Laga xoreeyo. National Amateur super heavyweight championship.
