“KO NIGHT BOXING” RESULTS FROM KANSAS
PALM CITY, Kansas (Setembre 24, 2017) – The name of last night’s “KO Nit de Boxa: Step Up” event certainly was appropriate as 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Nico Hernandez had to overcome a major obstacle to remain undefeated at Hartman Arena in Palm City, Kansas.
“KO Nit de Boxa: Step Up!” was a presentation of KO Night Boxing LLC., in association with Roc Nation Sports and Hartman Arena, sponsored by Mort’s Cigar Bar, Jimmy Egg and Twister City Harley-Davidson. The action was taped live for future airing on CBS Sports Network.
St. Louis southpaw Kendrick “Uprising” Latchman outweighed regular flyweight Hernandez by more than 10 pounds when the two fighters entered the ring because Hernandez’ scheduled opponent, Basyzbek Baratov (2-1-2), abruptly pulled out of the fight after the weigh in due to a contractual disagreement. Hernandez weighed in at 113 lliura, Baratov was 112, which was the contracted weight. The Kansas Athletic Commission, però, automatically allows one-pound over for all non-title fights. Baratov refused to fight but Latchman agreed to fight at a 125-pound catchweight. Hernandez gained four pounds and the fight was on.

His father said Nico had never been hit like that before. It was a good card and the crowed was really into it.”
KO Night Boxing LLC announced that Hernandez would return Desembre 2 to headline another show at Hartman Arena.
USBA No. 2- rated featherweight Tramaine “The Might Midget” Williams (13-0, 5 KOs), fighting out of New Haven (Connecticut), cruised to his 13º victory without a defeat, taking a one-sided 10-round unanimous decision over Derrick Murray (13-3, 5 KOs), in the co-featured event.
Key West, FL welterweight Armando “La Caballero: Alvarez (17-0, 11 KOs) romàs invicte, winning a 10-round unanimous decision against Hungarian champion Gabor “Squirrel” Gorbics (23-8, 14 KOs) in a competitive Special Welterweight Attraction. Alvarez is the WBC Latino welterweight title holder.
Undefeated Chinese heavyweight prospect Zhilei “Big Bang” Zhang (18-0, 14 KOs), the reigning WBO Oriental champion, needed only 2:28 to stop veteran Byron “L'Ós” Polley(30-22-1, 13 KOs). Zhang, as well as Williams, are promoted by Roc Nation Sports.
In the most dramatic fight of the night, Los Angeles heavyweight Scott Alexander (13-2-2, 7 KOs) rebounded from being decked, as well as a pre-fight cut, to knockout 361-pound Richard “Silverback” Carmack (15-12-1, 12 KOs) en la segona ronda. Travis Kauffman torna amb la destrucció primera ronda sobre Carmack

Lectura, Pennsilvània (Agost 18, 2015)–Ahir a la nit de divendres al Prudential Center inNewark, Nova Jersey, Contendent de pes pesat Travis Kauffman (29-1, 21 Nocauts) scored a first round stoppage over Richard Carmack in Kauffman’s first fight in 19 mesos.

Kauffman va aterrar un ganxo perfecte dret de la postura d'esquerrà que va enviar Carmack avall en 2:07.

La baralla va tenir lloc en una targeta que va ser encapçalat per una baralla entre l'ex campió mundial Antonio Tarver i Steve Cunningham, que va acabar en un empat.

“No vaig pensar Carmack colpejaria tan dur com ho va fer. I went out there with the mindset of going some rounds to work off ring rust. As soon as he hit me with a right hand, Jo sabia que ell era fort i volia treure-ràpida. The gameplan that we worked on was to go to the body and once I dropped him, Jo sabia que ell estava fet,” dir Kauffman.

Kauffman s'ha de tornar al setembre 18 al Claridge a Atlantic City.

Lectura, Pennsilvània (Agost 11, 2015)–Aquest divendres a la nit al Prudential Center a Newark, Nova Jersey, Contendent de pes pesat Travis Kauffman (28-1, 20 Nocauts) serà de nou en acció per primera vegada en 19 mesos quan s'enfronti a Richard Carmack en una baralla programada per a 8 rondes.

La baralla es durà a terme en una targeta que està encapçalat per l'ex campió mundial Antonio Tarver i Steve Cunningham.

La targeta serà televisat per Spike TV, tot i que la baralla de Kauffman no està programat per fer que l'aire a partir d'aquest moment.

Kauffman de Reading, PA ha estat fora d'acció a causa d'una cirurgia de genoll per reparar un estripat lligament creuat anterior (ACL).

Kauffman ha rehabilitant molt difícil per a la major part de 2015 quan va començar el seu viatge a Houston, Texas i va continuar el seu entrenament de boxa en Lectura i Filadèlfia.

“Em sento bé i honestament estic una mica ansiós,” dir Kauffman. “Estic més emocionat per aquesta baralla divendres que qualsevol dels meus baralles anteriors. He estat entrenant molt dur. El meu genoll se sent bé. Tinc el dolor habitual que ve amb l'entrenament, però res important.”

Al davant Carmack, Kauffman s'enfrontarà a un home que té un registre de 13-6 i pesa en excés de 300 lliura.

“Pel que he vist de Carmack, ell pot lluitar. No es deixi enganyar per la seva aparença. Es pot lluitar. He treballat molt dur i aquest és el meu primer campament d'entrenament complet amb Naazim Richardson i el meu pare Marshall Kauffman. Naazim és la millor quan es tracta de trencar els opositors, així que sé que vaig a estar plenament preparat per Carmack.”

Abans de la lesió, Kauffman es va classificar entre els cinc primers, per l'AMB i creu que no serà molt abans que s'eleva de nou fins que la condició de noble.

Kauffman està emocionat d'estar de tornada amb Haymon i competir en les targetes de PBC.

“Jo sé que ell em va a arribar on he d'estar. És per això que em va tornar a signar amb ell. Ell creu en mi. Estic molt emocionat i espero per el que espera en el meu futur.”
