A pair of exciting “All Chicago” six-round match-ups have been announced for the undercard at Warriors Boxing Promotions’ olandelayo “Windy City Fight Night” on Friday, April 28, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.
In an battle of undefeated Windy City featherweights, Giovanni Mioletti (6-0, 1 KO) will take his toughest test to date against comebacking and also undefeated William Hernandez (3-0). And in an intriguing super middleweight six-rounder, Chicago’s undefeated Ruben Schobitz (2-0, 1 KO) will face upset-minded spoiler Cesar Ruiz (2-4, 2 Kos).

“I’m excited to be facing an undefeated boxer and I’m really pumped to be fighting in front of a large crowd of family and friends,” Mioletti said. “I want to put on a great show for them.”
22-year-old Mioletti says he is motivated for the challenge. “I love the level of competition,” uthe, “and I love fighting in my hometown.”
“I don’t know much about him. I’m just going in blind,” said 26-year-old Hernandez. “Ngakho, I’ll just go in with confidence and if I train hard I always have a chance to win. I’m training hard seven days a week.”
Hernandez is returning from a six-year layoff that saw him obtain an accounting degree and start a family. The layoff, uthena, ngeke isaba yinkinga.

He’s a come-forward guy. He knocked out Martez with a long left hook, but he doesn’t have a lot of resources. And like they say, a good big man always beats a good little man.”
Schobitz, who came to the US to train for the Austrian amateur championships, which he won, liked what he saw and returned as a professional, in search of glory.
“I spent all my money I had saved up in Austria as a teen to move here to box. Ngokusobala, you come here with goals to be world champion and learn as much as you can and gain experience. I want to go as far as I can. Boxing is a sport I love. I love to fight more than anything else.”

26-year-old Ramiro Carrillo has been very impressive in his undefeated 11-fight run as a professional, Kanjalo kude. Carrillo was born in Mexico was a heavily decorated amateur, uya 215-14. He was a four-time Chicago Golden Gloves Champion and a two-time National Silver Gloves Champion. Carrillo is an aggressive boxer/brawler who loves to go to the body. So much so that a high percentage of his professional knockouts have come from body shots.

22-year-old Quezada is of half-Mexican and half-Filipino descent and an enormous fan-favorite locally. A heavily decorated amateur boxer, Quezada ran off 11 straight victories before falling short in his last fight. Determined to come back better than ever, Quezada is returning to home turf of the UIC Pavilion where he has had 9 of yakhe 12 ukulwa.

A Physical Education and Exercise Science junior at Chicago’s De Paul University 21-year-old Josh Hernandez had just over 50 fights and in 2014, won the Power Gloves and Chicago Golden Gloves, where he was named Best Male Boxer of the tournament. He is managed and trained by his father, former middleweight contender and fan favorite “Macho” Miguel Hernandez.

Originally from St. Louis, now living in Chicago Jessica McCaskill trains under well-known Windy City boxing figure Rick Ramos. The 32-year-old says she started off in boxing as a crude slugger, relying solely on her amazing natural strength. But nearly three years of working with Ramos has improved her skills dramatically. McCaskill is the first woman ever signed to a promotional agreement with Warriors Boxing, and deservedly so. Her exciting fighting style has already made her a crowd favorite.

Windy City Fight Nights Return to Chicago on Saturday, October 1

On Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Warriors Boxing Promotions will resurrect the legendary “Windy City Fight Nights” series of boxing shows with an event featuring a pair of unbeaten locals in separate co-main-events.
Headlining the first Windy City Fight Night in four years will be super lightweight Ramiro “El Lobito” UCarrillo (11-0, 7 Kos) and super welterweight Achour Esho (11-0, 7 Kos) in eight-round (UCarrillo) and six-round (Esho) bouts against opponents to be announced.
“I’m very happy and excited to be fighting in the co-main event. I’ve fought in several Windy City Fight Nights and had some great fights. I’m eager to get that rush back that I felt going to war in Chicago in front of my hometown family and friends. This is why I came back to boxing. I want to have big, exciting fights,” said Achour Esho.
“I’ve been working very hard for a long time and I’m happy it’s finally coming true. I’ve been dreaming about fighting in a main event in my hometown and it’s finally here. It’s my time to shine. I have a lot of family friends and fans coming out to watch me,” said Ramiro Carrillo.

CHICAGO (April 25, 2015) – Premier boxing Champions took Chicago by stormFriday night with an exhilarating fight card featuring three captivating fights on Spike from the UIC Pavilion.

 

The televised opener showcased Roberto “Usongo” Garcia (37-3, 23 Kos) getting an eight-round unanimous decision win over James Stevenson (22-2, 15 Kos). The first main event saw Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs (29-2, 26 Kos) phakathi ku 12thround knockout win over the hard-nosed Caleb “Golden” Truax (25-2-2, 15 Kos). The night’s second main event featured Badou Jack “The Ripper” (19-1-1, 12 Kos) earning a majority decision over Anthony “The Dog” Dirrell (27-1-1, 22 Kos).

“At the end of the sixth round I hit him with a right that caused him to stumble into the ropes. I wasn’t sure at that moment if he was really hurt, or if he was just playing opossum. My corner let me know when I really had him hurt though and I took advantage.

 

“He didn’t hold as much as I thought he might. I’m glad it turned out that way, but I was prepared for it if he did.

 

“He was physically stronger than I thought he’d be, but he never really hurt me tonight.

 

“PBC is an unbelievable outlet for us boxers. My hope is that I can continue to grow my brand and become a star inside and outside of the sport of boxing.

 

“I’m out to prove that I’m the best in this division. I want whoever Al (HAYMON) says next.”

“I wanted to pressure him, but I couldn’t get my punches off the way I wanted to. His movement was great and it was just an off night for me.

 

“I couldn’t get him to engage me and I think that ended up winning him the fight.

 

“There were a couple good shots that buzzed me, but no shots that really hurt me all that much. There were no devastating blows or anything. A fighter always wants to continue on, but the ref did his job.

 

“PBC is fantastic for bringing in casual fans who wouldn’t have otherwise watched our fights. This is truly groundbreaking. After a fight like that I hope that more and more fans will continue tuning in.

 

“I’m heading back to the gym to put in hard work. Hopefully I’ll be back on another PBC card against whoever Warriors and Al (HAYMON) say.”

“I felt like Stevenson was just trying to survive, whereas I was trying to win. I could tell that my punches were bothering him. I could hear him breathing very heavily.

 

“I was just trying to get back to it tonight. My last fight was almost nine months ago here in this same venue. I needed to get this fight under my belt to keep up my drive and continue working toward the goal.

 

“I usually have to chase the guys I’m fighting. Even with the punchers like (Anthony) Margarito I end up having to chase them down. I took all that previous experience and used it tonight. It basically felt like a sparring session for me.

 

“PBC is an incredible opportunity for fighters like myself and I plan on continuing to take advantage of it.

 

“I have a great team behind me and we’re just interested in moving forward. I’m ready for a big step though. I want Shawn Porter next. I made a commitment to fight him, and I plan on sticking to that.”
