Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0), who was the M-1 Global 2015 Kovotojas Metų, returns to action after suffering a torn ligament in his elbow, which forced the Azerbaijan native to withdraw from his scheduled M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship fight withAleksandras Shlemenko.
The 29-year-old Emeev, fighting out of Makhachkala, Rusija, first captured the vacant M-1 Challenge middleweight title in 2012, taking a 5-round unanimous decision from Mario Miranda į M-1 Iššūkis 35, and he successfully won the rematch five months later įM-1 Iššūkis 38, stopping Miranda via strikes in the third round.

Shlemenko (53-9-0, M-1: 4-0-0) qualified for the M-1 Grand Prix middleweight final as did reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramadanas Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0). Leading up to their showdown, tačiau, Emeev suffered ligament damage to his elbow, forcing him out of his fight with Shlemenko. There’s a paragraph in the Grand Prix fighters’ contract stating we can use one of the guys who fought in the semifinals of the tournament in case someone gets injured. Now we’re making one of the most anticipated rematches in the history of Russian MMA.”

Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Dagestane, is the reigning M-1 Challenge middleweight champion, although his title belt will not be at stake against Shlemenko. The 28-year-old Emeev, kuris buvo 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, is a two-time M-1 Challenge middleweight champion. Ramazan (14-3-0, M-1: 810), the 2015 M-1 Global Fighter of the Year, used a choke hold on his Brazilian opponent, Maiquel “Big Rig” Facao (35-9-0, M-1: 0-1-0), in their M-1 Grand Prix middleweight semifinals match. The main event ended at the 2:50 mark of the opening round as Ramazan advances to face three-time Bellator champion Aleksandras “Audra” Shlemenko (51-9-0, M-1: 2-0-0) in the upcoming M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Championship showdown.
