Dan Pasciolla looking to defend and win New Jersey State Heavyweight title this Friday against Quian Davis

Atlantic City, NJ (Maiatza 31, 2018) – Heavyweight Dan Pasciolla (9-3-3) won the New Jersey State Heavyweight title when he won a six-round unanimous decision over former world champion Imamu Mayfield on March 19, 2016.

 

 

 

The 32 year-old native of Brick, New Jersey signed on to fight Quian Davis (4-0-2, 2 Kos) this Friday night at The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, and was informed that the fight would be for the vacant title.

 

 

 

That was news to Pasciolla and his manager Rich Masini, as the pair believed that Pasciolla was still the champion.

 

 

 

“I have been waiting for a fight. I was in camp in Poland, and I am in better shape. My goal is to get in the ring, and show a different Dan Pasciolla,” said the 5-year veteran.

 

 

 

When asked about Davis, Pasciolla is ready for his undefeated opponent.

 

 

 

“I know he did not have much of an amateur career. He is just another guy that I will be getting into the ring with. Experience plays a factor, and I bring much more than thaton Friday. I have been working hard, and things are coming together,”

 

 

 

Pasciolla is not letting the fact the he is already fighting for a belt that he already owns get in the way of his preparation.

 

 

 

“I am not sure why there is a new title since I already am the champion, but I will walk out with 2 belts on Friday. It is very important because it represents my state, so it is a big deal to me. I do not do a lot of talking. I will do my talking between the ropes.”

 

 

 

“This is a funny and crazy business at times,” said Pasciolla’s manager , Rich Masini. “Dan beat Mayfield for the state title, It is even recognized on Boxrec.com, but somehow, I guess that doesn’t count anymore, but Dan will enter the ring with that belt, and apparently now we are fighting for the same title but a different belt. That aside, Dan will be fighting a tough opponent. Dan is used to being the underdog, but he relishes that role. Dan has worked very hard, and he has transformed his body and is in great shape.”

 

 

 

“I am sure Davis has trained hard. I just think it is very ironic that the same man is fighting for another belt of the same title that he already owns. WORCESTER, Mass. (April 2, 2017) – Popular Massachusetts heavyweight Vinnie “American Nightmare” Carita was too much for former South American champion Gilberto Matheus “El Magico” Domingos bart gauean “New England’s Future 2” main event at Worcester Palladium. A capacity crowd of 1,700 rocked the vintage venue from start to finish.

Remillard pounded his opponent, Augustine “Ruthless” Maura (6-2-3 3 Kos), whose toughness showed throughout the contest as Remillard pounded his Lawrence (MA) opponent to the body and head en route to a eight-round unanimous decision (80-71, 79-72, 78-73) co-feature-en. Mauras was deducted a point in the fourth round for headbutting.
“I was a little rusty but I got better as the fight went on,” Remillard said. “He’s a tough kid who was slippery inside. If the fight went a little longer, I think I would have gotten him out of there.”

Worcester welterweight Andy Gonzalez (6-1, 5 Kos) cruised to a four-round unanimous decision over a game Antonio Chavez Fernandes (7-30-4, 2 Kos), of Brockton (MA).

If their tense, near volatile stare-down at a recent press conference is a true indication, Remillard vs. Mauras is not going the distance, to put things mildly.
New England’s Future 2″ is presented by Rivera Promotions Entertainment (RPE), which is owned and operated by retired three-time, bi zatiketa munduko txapeldun Jose Antonio Rivera eta bere semea, Anthonee (A.J.) Rivera.
“I am excited to have a boxer of Remillard’s caliber on our ‘New England’s Future 2’ boxeo ekitaldia,” promoter Jose Antonio Rivera remarked. “He has a tough match against August time Mauras for his first fight back. Knowing Remillard, arren, he wouldn’t have it any other way. His lone pro loss came in his last fight, March 23, 2011 in Atlantic City to then rising star Mikey Garcia (24-0), when Remillard retired after 11 erronda. He won’t make excuses; ordea, he never should have taken the fight with Garcia, facing the impending court case that sent him to prison and working with a new head trainer he’d only met two weeks prior to the fight.
“I’m confident I can get back to where I was in about a year,” the 30-year-old Remillard said. “A dream come true would be a rematch with Garcia, at any weight, but I have to earn that shot. Everybody wants a rematch with the guy who gave you the first loss. It seldom happens but, hala ez bada, in time I believe there will be other big fights out there for me.
“I’m fighting an opponent who fought by buddy, Chip Perez, Hiru aldiz (0-2-1), so I’m familiar with his style. He doesn’t back down. I don’t expect him to back down against me…until he feels my power. I’m going to take out those five years that I was away on him. I’ve been through so much the last six year but I’m most comfortable in the gym. The past is past and this is my last run. Paul and I have a lot of unfinished business to take care of.”
Seventeen years ago, Chicon first met Remillard at the Manchester PAL gym, but he made the 13-year-old aspiring boxer earn his opportunity to be trained. Paul made Matt clean the bathrooms, take care of spit buckets, eta abar. before he started training him.
“When he returned to the gym a few months back, I saw that his work ethic hadn’t faded,” Cichon commented. “I don’t believe he’s really that far away from where he was six years ago. He was idle five years but his first day back he sparred 12 erronda. He stayed in good physical shape and is hungrier than ever. He thinks he has something to prove after his last fight, but he really doesn’t have anything to prove to me or anybody else. He is fighting a tough kid but Matt’s going to be victorious. I think in four or five more fights he’ll be back where he was in boxing.”

MILLVILLE NJ (Urria 3, 2016)–Rising Promotions is proud to announce the signings of super middleweight Isiah Seldon, super lightweight’s Marvin Johnson & Dan Murray, bantamweight Dallas Holden, cruiserweight David Sparks and featherweight Dion Sparks to exclusive promotional contracts.
They join undefeated heavyweight Quian Davis (3-0-2, 2 KO en) as the first group of fighters to ink contracts under the Rising Promotions banner.
Davis is coming off a 28 second knockout this past Larunbata night in Trenton, New Jersey over Jonathan Hafley

The 28 year-old son of former WBA Heavyweight world champion, Bruce Seldon, aktibatuta profesionaletan 2010 and won his first seven bouts. Johnson has a record of 1-0-1. The Bridgeton, New Jersey native is had a long amateur career of 211-31. Zen bat 2007 National PAL in 2007 eta 6 time in Florida PAL champion. Johnson was a 3 time time Ringside World Championship Runner-Up; 3 time National PAL Runner-Up Johnson is
24 years-old and turned professional in 2014, and is is coming off a four-round unanimous decision over Lamont White on July 22nd Atlantic City.
“It’s a blessing and great opportunity in my career. It puts my family in a better position. It gives me a good opportunity to fight in front of my hometown fans. I want to thank Debbie LaManna, Thomas LaManna and Vinny LaManna. It has effected and changed my family lives. I was on the shelf for a year and now I get the opportunities to show my skills,” esan zuen Johnsonek.
Murray, 24 years-old of Barnegat, New Jersey was 26-7 amateur gisa. He was a New Jersey Golden Gloves and New Jersey Diamond Gloves champion.

Holden, 20 years-old of Atlantic City was a highly regarded amateur who amassed 50 Borrokak. Holden fought in the Philadelphia Golden Gloves. He has a professional record of 1-0. Holden turned professional on July 22nd with a four-round unanimous decision over Kevin Asmat in Atlantic City.
“I have known Thomas for a long time and its going to be a good thing. It’s going to open a lot of doors. Because of my amateur career, people know me and now they want to see me fight as a professional,” said Holden.

Seldon is eager to be back in the ring after much soul searching over the past two-plus years.
“I have been working a job and staying in the gym. I have been keeping sharp but I just needed to get my life in order, ” said Seldon. “We have been looking for the right fight. I was offered some good financial opportunities in Russia, but I want to do this the right way. I am not in this for the money.”
Seldon feels at age 27, the time is now to concentrate on in his ring career.
“I am not getting any younger, and when I got the call from Rising Promotions and they offered me the right fight, I jumped at it.”
When asked about the veteran Mitchell, Seldon really doesn’t know alot.
“I don’t know much. I saw a couple video snippets of him and I see a tough guys who comes forward. It should be a good fight. I trained very hard for this and I am ready.”
When asked what he sees in the next few years, seldon, believes that with Rising Promotions looking to do stage multiple fight cards on the boardwalk property, he sees an active 2016.
“I am looking at two or three more fights this year. Rising Promotions said I could be on their cards going forward. I am just trying to stay busy. Ni naiz 27 years-old and it is time to go. The Beast Mode is turned on and I am excited to show a new Isiah Seldon. Before I was just a brawler but in the time off, I have developed my boxing skills and I am a much better fighter.”

Davis of nearby Mays Landing, New Jersey is not the typical fighter who has dreams of winning a world heavyweight title, but he has bigger plans to help mold the youth of the Jersey Shore area as being a role model.
To say Davis is an all-around athlete is an understatement.
The Buena High School all-time leading rusher in football, was a 48th round draft pick of the Florida Marlins and spent three years in their minor league system.
When getting the itch to play football again, Davis bagged baseball and began playing football at Hudson Valley College in upstate New York.
After a few years of figuring out his next move, Davis took up boxing.
6'3 At″eta 250 kgs, Davis took up the sweet science at the age of 34.
After eight amateur fights (record of 5-3), Davis turned professional by fighting a four round draw with Willie Harvey on August 15, 2015.
Davis got into the win column with a 26 second knockout over Santario Holdbrooks on Abenduaren 5ean at The Claridge.
“Oraintxe bertan, I am getting by with my natural athletic ability. I do not know all of the ins and outs of boxing, but I have toughness and have been learning on the job,” Said Davis.
“There has been a lot of improvement since I have started”
In Morley, he is facing a durable guy, that has gone the distance in his first two outings.
“I just know he is shorter and heavier then me. He is from Philadelphia, so that alone, I know he is a tough guy.”
Davis is even more honest when it comes to his ceiling as a fighter.
“My goal is to fight as long as the sport wants me. I want to have fights that will build my resume and give me the credibility to become a trainer for all athletes. I would like to instill what I know and my experiences with baseball, football and now boxing and become an all-around trainer and role model. There are people needed in the community that should be mentoring kids coming up and I feel that I can be that guy around here.”
