Subriel Matías Matthew and Alfredo ‘Ojo’ Santiago se establece para volver en febrero

Fajardo, Puerto Rico - Ranking AMB #13, Alfredo ‘Ojo’ Santiago (8-0, 2 Nocáuts) y muy promocionado prospecto, Subriel Matías Matthew (8-0, 8 Nocáuts), tanto desde Fajardo, será ver en acción Sábado, Febrero 17, 2018 en el Fajardo Municipal parque ecuestre. Los oponentes se darán a conocer en breve por Producciones frescas.

 

 

Con ocho peleas cada uno, Ambos boxeadores ya tienen muy impresionantes victorias sobre las perspectivas, aspirantes al título mundial, y ex atletas olímpicos.

 

 

Haciendo campaña en la división de peso ligero, Santiago, un nativo de Moca, República Dominicana, tiene tres victorias notables con respecto: ex olímpico mexicano, Arturo Santos Reyes por decisión unánime ( UD ), former world title contender, Jayson ‘La Maravilla’ Vélez por decisión mayoritaria, y la siempre sazonada, Andrés ‘Pajita’ Navarro falló ciudad.

 

 

Por su parte, Matías Matthew, que está en la división de peso welter junior, derrotado en su cuarta pelea profesional, ascendente prospecto, Jeffrey Fontánez de Caguas por nocaut técnico en la segunda ronda.

 

 

En su última presentación, celebrada en noviembre en el Hotel Jaragua en la República Dominicana, Matías Matthew, También ganó por nocaut técnico en la segunda ronda, sobre el ex olímpico de Venezuela, Patrick López.

 

 

“Como es habitual en las producciones frescas, los oponentes de ‘Ojo’ y Subriel será de gran calidad,” dicho promotor Juan Orengo, “Ya tenemos en la mira a varios combatientes mexicanos que son buenos y estarán en perfecto estado de dirigirse a Febrero 17. Victory Sports & Entertainment signs former world champion Jose Pedraza to managerial contract

Nueva York, N.Y. (Octubre 30, 2017)–Victory Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the signing of former IBF World Junior Lightweight Champion Jose Pedraza to a multi-year managerial contract.

Pedraza of Cidra, Puerto Rico cuenta con un registro de 22-1 con 12 nocauts. Pedraza says, “I am very happy to sign with Victory Sports and look forward to the next chapter of my career. They represent a number of up and coming fighters and also work with elite fighters like Badou Jack so I feel that Victory is the right team to lead me back to a world championship.”

En 28 años de edad,, Pedraza is a six-year professional and one of the most highly decorated amateurs to come out of Puerto Rico. An Olympian in 2008, Pedraza also won medals in numerous international competitions including silver in the 2009 World Amateur Championships in Milan and gold at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. Después se convirtió en profesional en 2011, Pedraza won his first 19 fights before capturing the IBF Junior Lightweight Championship in only his 20th fight, capturing the belt with a 12-round unanimous decision over Andrey Klimov. After defending his belt twice, Pedraza lost his belt earlier this year in an upset to Gervonta Davis, and is now looking to rebound. “My lack of activity and struggling to make weight at 130lbs definitely affected my performance in my last fight,” says Pedraza, “but I am working hard and looking forward to coming back soon. I think the Lightweight division is where I will make my mark and am excited to get back in the ring.”

President of Victory Sports Rick Torres feels that Pedraza is ready to make a statement at Lightweight, “Jose Pedraza is bar none the best fighter in Puerto Rico and we are extremely proud to welcome him to the Victory Sports family. We feel that Jose can be a force at Lightweight. There are a number of attractive fights in the division, from Jorge Linares to Mickey Garcia, all of which would make great fights for boxing fans.”

A rising star in a universarlly recognized boxing hotbed, Verdejo (22-0, 15 KOs) represented Puerto Rico in the 2012 Juegos Olímpicos, losing in the quarterfinals to two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko, who is the reigning WBO super feathereight world champion. The 23-year-old will be fighting in front of a passionate hometown crowd in San Jose, risking his WBO No. 1 contender status and impending world title shot against current champion Terry Flanagan. Flores’ only other pro loss was in 2012 to current WBC super featherweight world champion Miguel Berchelt, while his two draws were both on the road in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Dallas, TX (Septiembre 12, 2016) – IBF #8 super bantamweight Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle and his team arrived in Dallas this afternoon after leaving Puerto Rico earlier today.
Del Valle, who hails from Bayamon, meets unbeaten Diego De La Hoya, 15-0 (9 Nocáuts), Sábado evening over ten rounds in what is expected to be a classic Puerto Rico vs Mexico slugfest. The bout opens an HBO PPV telecast starting at 9 PM ET headlined by the junior middleweight championship fight between pound for pound superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and reigning WBO champion Liam Smith. The card takes place a short distance from Dallas in Arlington, TX at AT&Estadio T, best known as the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Currently the International Boxing Federation’s #8 clasificado contendiente, Del Valle scored 16 de su 22 victories by knockout including nine within the first three rounds. Known for bringing the heat to his foes from the opening bell, Del Valle is accustom to partaking in exciting fights and most recently dropped hard-hitting Thomas Snow twice en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Yomar Alamo grabs gold in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico

Before a euphoric crowd who attended the coliseum Samuel ‘Sammy’ Rodriguez of Aguas Buenas, favorito local, Yomar ‘The Magic’ Alamo ( 11-0, 8 KO ) scored a impressive second round TKO over Edgardo ‘Indio’ Rivera ( 7-4-2, 5 KO ) to capture the WBC FECARBOX super lightweight title.
This match marks the first WBC fight held in Aguas Buenas.
“Making history in my town is a big deal,” said Yomar Alamo, “I was prepared to leave everything in the ring, and the results were spectacular. Ahora, I will take a short break and return to the gym as soon as possible because major challenges are coming up and I have to be ready”.
Yomar’s younger brother, Yamil (1-0, 1 KO) successfully debuted by winning by knockout in the first round over Orlando Fernandez (0-4) in the junior welterweight division.
Former National Champion, Fabian Lopez (1-0, 1 KO) defeated Miguel Cruz ( 0-1 ) by TKO in the third round in the middleweight division.
In exciting fights, Garibaldy Gomez (3-0, 2 KO) of Caguas defeated by Ramon Bayala ( 0-6-2 ) by split decision at 122 libra. Bayala visited the canvas in the first round. Del Valle excited for Tri State Area return

Bayamón, Puerto Rico (Julio 20, 2016) – As a teenager, Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle left his native Puerto Rico for Newburgh, NY where he resided for seven years. During his time in the Empire State amateur ranks, he made great strides in the ring and won multiple highly-competitive tournaments, most notably capturing the 2004 National Golden Gloves title.

As a pro, Del Valle had his first fight in New Jersey, hoisted the WBA-NABA championship in New York and Connecticut was the state that hosted his first appearance on HBO. Total, half of his 24 professional fights took place in the tri state area and the bilingual Del Valle built a solid fan following. Sin embargo, he hasn’t fought in the area since 2012.

En Agosto 27, that will change when Del Valle battles an opponent to be announced in a ten round super bantamweight bout at the Bayonne Pavilion in Bayonne, Nueva Jersey.

“I love fighting in the tri state area,” said Del Valle, the owner of an excellent 22-2 professional record with 16 knockouts and a #12 ranking by the International Boxing Federation. “I had a lot of great moments when I lived in New York and miss the local crowds. The support was great and there is a very large Puerto Rican population in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. I’ve still got a lot of fans in the area and they always ask me when I’m fighting locally again. Due to some of the changes in my career, I wasn’t sure until this incredible opportunity came up.
