Devin Haney Becomes The Youngest Promoter in Boxing History

LAS VEGAS, NV (Augusti 15, 2018) – Devin Haney Promotions, the promotional company owned by undefeated WBC Youth och USBA Lättviktig mästare, Devin “The Dream” Haney (19-0, 13 Kos), was just granted a boxing promoter’s license by the California State Athletic Department (CSAC).

“Getting approved for my promoter’s license in California is something I envisioned since I turned professional,” said an elated Devin Haney, who now lives in Las Vegas. “Devin Haney Promotions will start doing shows on a modest scale that will eventually lead to mega events.”

 

 

 

“I already have a couple of young hungry prospects on my roster and will be looking to sign other talented fighters as we march forward,” Haney continued. “I plan to showcase some of the best fighters in boxing.”

“B Is For Boxing,” an illustrated children’s book which will help kids learn their A-B-Cs, is now in better bookstores everywhere.

Authored by ex world title challenger Dmitriy Salita, along with Hall of Fame publicist Bill Caplan and Michael Salita, Dmitriy’s brother, this book is an “outside the box” effort to get little ones on the road to mastering language basics.

“I have been boxing since I am 13 years old at Starrett City boxing club in Brooklyn,” Dmitriy Salita explains. “I love boxing and the many lessons it can teach. As a father I feel a responsibility to
present the educational aspects of the sport that I love in an interactive educational way. My brother and I came up with this idea and have worked on combining the alphabet with meaningful boxing terminology and historical events that is appealing and educational to both kids and adults!”

Slutliga klockan klämtar för populära boxning manager Si Stern

KEY WEST, Fla (September 6, 2015) -Boxning chef Si Star, ordförande i SHS Boxing Hantering, avled vid en ålder av 81 detta tidigare måndag på grund av komplikationer från en hjärtattack.
Stern lyckats tre gånger, två-division Randall “Knock Out Kungen” Bailey, veteran tungvikt Sherman “Tank” Williams, Marcus “Arilli” Upshaw och tidigare kubanska olympiska Robert Alfonso.
En mycket framgångsrik affärsman, Williams explained that Stern also had a law degree and studied at one point to be a rabbi. Si recently returned from Romania, där han stödde Williams på sin kamp, på söndag, Augusti. 30 and he suffered a heart attack the following day at home in Key West. He was air lifted to a hospital in Miami, där han stannade i en vecka innan han dukade.
Bailey och Sterns partner, Dave Johnson, tillsammans med Sterns son, Gary, och dotter, Cynthia, were bedside in the hospital with Si for several days until the end. “Jag talade med Si på söndag kväll (Augusti 30) och fick ett samtal nästa dag sade att han hade blivit inlagd på sjukhus,” Bailey förklarade. “Han drabbades av en massiv hjärtattack. “Si was a great guy and a good friend. As a manager, he always fought for his boxers. If nobody else cared, Si omhändertagna; om de inte kunde göra det, Si would do it. “Si var mycket mer än min chef,” Williams offered. “Han var en god vän, en säker på att jag kunde alltid lita på för rådgivning, in and out of boxing. Si was an all-around good man. We had many deep discussion about politics and religion, jag är en kristen och Si en Judisk, särskilt spendera så många dagar tillsammans i Rumänien.
“We all lost a good man in Si Stern. I was proud to be represented by Si. He wasn’t in boxing for the money. He was an important part of my life. He was always there for me and all of his fighters. Si never took a short cut or spared money. Si Stern was the best manager I ever had.”
