I’m excited to be back again, fighting on NBC. This is a huge opportunity for me, to be this young and early in my career and headlining a primetime event, just the exposure alone,” said Spence. “Per descomptat, I’m happy to be fighting in Brooklyn at Barclays Center. New York City is known for putting on great fights, and this is going to be a big event with a big-name fighter. Chris Algieri has been in the ring with Amir Khan, Manny Pacquiao and Ruslan Provodnikov and he’s a former world champ. This is a big fight for me and a step up, but I plan to rise to the occasion. I’m going to handle him like I’ve handled all of my past opponents.
I am so excited to come back to the US for a major fight,” said Glowacki. “I respect Steve Cunningham as a sportsman and as a man. He is a world class fighter and I know that he will be well prepared against me. Tal Com Abril 16, I will once again honor my promise and defeat Cunningham in spectacular fashion. Polish and American fans, be prepared for the return of Glowacki!”

It’s great to be doing another event in Brooklyn at Barclays Center with Chris Algieri headlining on NBC,” va dir Joe DeGuardia, President de Star Boxing. “This marks the fourth appearance by Chris at the Barclays Center and I expect another exciting performance by Chris as he takes on the very dangerous and undefeated former U.S. Olímpic, Errol Spence, a Abril 16.”

Un membre de la 2012 U.S. Equip olímpic que es vantava d'una carrera amateur molt decorat, the 26-year-old Spence Jr.is set for the toughest test of his career as he enters the ring in his first primetime main event. Spence Jr. is widely regarded as a future star in the sport and was dominant in his previous PBC on NBC primetime appearance when he stopped Phil Lo Greco in the third round in June. His huge 2015 also included TKO victories over Chris van Heerden, Samuel Vargas and Alejandro Barrera and concluded with him being named ESPN’s Prospect of the Year.
Algieri va saltar a la fama al juny 2014 Barclays Center quan va sorprendre Ruslan Provodnikov per un títol mundial superlleuger. The 31-year-old returns to Brooklyn for his third consecutive fight after earning a unanimous decision over Erick Bone in December. 2014, a bout that Algieri lost. He had previously defeated strong contenders Mike Arnaoutis and Emanuel Taylor on the way to his world title and now seeks a title in the welterweight division.
En representació de la gran baralla ciutat de Filadèlfia, Cunningham will look to put on a show in his Barclays Center debut. The experienced veteran also owns victories over previously unbeaten fighters Amir Mansour and Natu Visinia and scored a knockdown of Tyson Fury in a losing effort during their 2013 fi.
Glowacki defends his world title for the first time after his sensational 2015 knockout of cruiserweight king Marco Huck in August 2015. The fighter out of Walcz, Poland will receive heavy support from the large Polish population in Brooklyn as he fights in the U.S. for the second time. Prior to his world title winning performance, he picked up victories over Nuri Seferi, Thierry Karl and Ismail Abdoul.
Browne ha estat molt impressionant des que va fer el seu debut professional al novembre 2011 and the 25-year-old Staten Island-native put together a big 2015 amb victòries sobre Corneli Blanca i Aaron Pryor Jr.. before he knocked out former world champion Gabriel Campillo in the first round in September and closed the year by stopping Francisco Sierra in December. Browne’s first primetime appearance will give him an opportunity to show off the lightning speed and impressive power.
Originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina but now training out of Saint Petersburg, Fla., Kalajdzic ended 2015 with first round stoppages of Fabio Garrido and Gilberto Matheus Domingos. BELÉN, Pennsilvània. (Febrer 10, 2016) – El invicte 2012 U.S. Olímpic Jamel Arengada (15-0, 8 KOs) scored a unanimous decision (100-88, 100-88, 99-89) over Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-3, 17 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout in the main event of Dimarts de Lliga de Campions de Boxa (PBC) DIMARTS TOE-TO-TOE a FS1 i BOXA DE CAMPIONS a FOX Esports fight card at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsilvània.
Arengada, who represented the United States at the 2012 Olympic games after winning the U.S. Títol nacional amateur mateix any, commanded the action throughout.
I knew if I boxed smart it would show, but I didn’t think it would be that wide a margin,” Said Arengada. “He’s a very experienced fighter.
Herring added, “I was trying to get rid of him early because he’s a dangerous guy. If you let a guy like that sit around too long there’s always the risk that you might get clipped with something and regret it.
Arengada, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, hopes the win Dimarts night will launch him into world title contention in 2016.
Entrant U.S. debut, the Magangue, Colombia native Flores put on a valiant effort, recovering from a flurry in the second round that would have sent most fighters packing.
En la cinquena ronda, the 28-year-old Flores was ruled to have been knocked down twice, but disputes those calls by the ref. “Both times that the officials called it a knockdown and started counting were just slips. I didn’t actually get knocked down either time,” said Flores.
Flores added, “El es (Arengada) had the advantage aquesta nit, and he outperformed me. But I’ll keep trying wherever my next opportunity comes.
I think getting a win like this over a fighter with Floresexperience will help me gain a lot more respect. People seeing me win on my first PBC card on national TV on FS1 and FOX Deportes just helps raise my profile and I look forward to being back,” Said Arengada.
Martín, 1 2012 National Golden Gloves Champion, controlled much of the fight from the outside using his superior footwork to evade Gomez.
The Harvey, IL native Martin said, “I could see his punches coming from a mile away, but I should have followed up a little more than I did aquesta nit and let my hands go a bit more too.
An owner of 340 amateur wins, Martin turned pro in 2013 and is yet to lose. That experience helped Martin keep his composure when Gomez taunted him repeatedly in the second round.
We wanted to make Martin mad and get him to punch himself out if we could,” said the 29-year-old Gomez.
Martin responded to the talk of baiting saying, “I just stuck to my fundamentals, kept pumping my jab and setting him up for the next shot.
I knew I hurt him with the uppercut. He walked right into it. And then when I threw the hook he couldn’t do anything,” va dir Martin.
Following the bout Gomez said, “I plan to retire after aquesta nit. I care too much and fight too hard to be just another opponent.
The second televised fight saw Raynell Williams (11-0, 5 KOs) win a unanimous decision (79-73, 79-73, 78-74) sobre Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-3-2, 3 KOs) in eight rounds of lightweight action.
Un membre de la 2008 U.S. Olympic team, Cleveland’s Williams was able to establish himself early and get in a rhythm.
The only time he was able to catch me with anything was when I got a little lazy,” va dir Williams.
Williams caught Tolmajyan with a big right hand in the fourth round, seemingly stunning Tolmajyan momentarily, but he kept his composure and didn’t allow himself to become overzealous.
I was focused on boxing him and not so much worried about the knockout,” added Williams. “I knew I was winning the rounds.
In the final frame, Tolmajyan, fighting out of Glendale, TAL COM, caught Williams with a shot that nearly ended things.
Williams recalled, “It was an overhand left that he hit me with. And then he came after me again, but the ref and I made contact, so then the ref pushed me away because he didn’t want me to try holding on to him. But once I got my feet under me I was fine.
No obstant això, Tolmajyan wasn’t impressed with Williams saying, “He wasn’t as good as we were expecting and I had him hurt with my left.
I thought that I was winning the fight to be honest. I didn’t think I was going to lose the decision,” added Tolmajyan.
Williams concluded, “I hope to learn from my mistakes aquesta nit. I got caught with a good punch in the last few seconds aquesta nit, so I just need to work on consistency and fighting until the final bell.

See below for Super Bowl 50 predictions from PBC fighters:
Andre Berto: I’ve got the Panthers by a dime. Home, that Broncosdefense is ferocious! I’ve never seen any team get after a guy like they got after Tom Brady. So how is my boy Cam Newton gonna handle them? Have you seen Cam run? He’s gonna run right over them.
Against the Patriots, that defense was allowed to be ferocious, but Cam won’t allow that. As for [Broncos running back] Ronnie Hillman, he’s my dude; he’s just gotta work on them hands a little bit.
Dominic Breazeale: I’ve got the Panthers winning, 35-21. Cam Newton is just having way too much fun, and at this point, I would have to say the guy is unstoppable.
Omar Douglas: I’m going with Panthers. Cam Newton has played great all season and almost went undefeated. He is not your average quarterback. He can throw the long ball or run it in for a touchdown. And on top of it all, he’s having fun. It’s hard to beat a guy like that!
Omar Figueroa Jr.: I don’t want to give a prediction. I love the Broncos like I love the San Antonio Spurs. But the Panthers are the Golden State Warriors of football right now. I see the Broncos having a really hard time keeping up.
Miguel Flores: Carolina has been smashing everyone, and Denver has been somewhat inconsistent. But after the Broncosmost recent games and their showing on defense, I will have to stick with the famous cliché: “Offense wins games, defense wins championships.
The Panthers have shown that they can be great offensively, but their defense hasn’t always been on point. So I’m going with the Broncos in a tight one.
Danny García: I’m going with the Panthers. They’re rolling right now. They’ve got youth and energy, and they’ve got a lot of momentum going into the game. If they just stay focused and don’t party and get caught up [in the hype], they’ll win it.
Terrell Gausha: Panthers, because my bro that I went to high school with plays for Carolina: wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. Més, I think they are just that good.
Tony Harrison: Carolina Panthers all the way. As a former high school quarterback, I love what Cam is doing for the game. He’s amazing. També, many people don’t know but my younger cousin, Devin Funchess (pictured above with Harrison while at the University of Michigan), plays wide receiver for the Panthers. So I’m always going with family in any situation.
Julius Jackson: I’ve got the Broncos. They have a better system as far as demonstrating an ability to play as a cohesive unit. That’s what will give them the edge.
Jamal James: I’m gonna have to go with the Panthers, because Cam Newton has been handling business. Més, that team has kinda been an underdog. But every time people count them out, they come out and refuse to lose, which is something I respect and relate to.
Amir Khan: I would have to say that the Broncos have the veteran leadership in Peyton Manning and they’ve been there before, so they have the better overall experience. Però al final, the youth and explosiveness of Cam Newton will win the day in what will be a hard-fought Panthers’ victòria.
Paulie Malignaggi: I’m going with the underdog Broncos. Maybe it’s just going with my heart, but I’m a Manning fan, mainly because his brother is the QB for my New York Giants, so I’m keeping it in the family.
Abner Mars: I’m taking the Panthers. Cam Newton has a style on and off the field that just dominates. It’s the Panthersyear, Cam is a tremendous leader and QB, and it’s time for a new dynasty to be born.
Shawn Porter: I think this is gonna be a great Super Bowl! It’s a very evenly matched game. Both teams are solid on both sides of the ball and have great quarterbacks. Peyton Manning is trying to solidify his status as an all-time great QB, and Cam Newton is trying to establish himself as a future great. I’m having a really hard time picking a winner, but personally I would love to see Cam Newton and the Panthers win.
Michael Segells: I’ve got to go with the Panthers. I’m gonna take Billy the Kid-Cam Newton-over the Old Deputy Sheriff, Peyton Manning.
Errol Spence Jr.: The Panthers will win because the Broncosdefense will not be able to contain or stop Cam Newton. And the Pantherspass defense is too good for a shell-of-himself Peyton Manning. I went to school with [Broncos defensive end] Von Miller, but I want Cam to win.
Antonio Tarver: It’s a destiny type of year for Cam Newton and the Panthers. I don’t think anyone is gonna stop them. While my heart is with Denver and the wise old veteran Peyton Manning-us old guys gotta stick together-I have to put my money on Cam and the Panthers.
All I pray for is to go out like Peyton Manning: attempting to win it all before I retire. But I have to say the Panthers will win.
Austin truita: I’ve got the Panthers winning. They’re just playing with great team chemistry and great leadership in Cam Newton. But I’m still J-E-T-S till I D-I-E.
Sammy Vasquez Jr.: It’s simple: Panthers all day. They’ve been on fire. Cam Newton deserves it now after putting in the years with the team and all the hard work. They work together as a team, and that’s a great part of being successful.
Deontay Wilder: I like the Panthers because Cam Newton is just on a different level, a force to be reckoned with.
Thomas Williams Jr.: I’m taking the Broncos simply because of the experience factor. Cam Newton’s year has been phenomenal; he is an MVP for sure. But I think Peyton Manning’s postseason and all-around experience will outweigh Cam’s magic.
This will be just another walk in the park for Manning, who has been in the tougher, more grueling games over the course of his career.
Final tally: Panthers 17, Broncos 4.

The 26-year-old picked up four victories in 2015 and will begin 2016 against the 29-year-old Nicaraguan Gomez who will be making his U.S. debut.

Training is good. I really do not know much about Gomez, but that doesn’t matter much at all because I just go in there and like to fight.
Martin is ready to showcase his skills for the first time in front of a nationally televised audience and he knows this is just the beginning of positioning himself into bigger fights.
It is a big step for me. This will show me and the fans how good I am and where I can go in my career.
Without looking too far down the line, Martin would love a chance at his old amateur rival, Spence. Martin knows that he needs to continue winning and looking good to get that opportunity within in the next year.
Spence is definitely on my radar. I can see us fighting by the end of 2016 or early 2017. I feel that I will be ready for that fight. He is just one of a few guys that I want to fight on my way to the top. I am just hoping that everyone tunes in on February 9th and the fans will remember my national television debut.

Here is what the fighters had to say Sunday night:
ERICKSON LUBIN
He was a very awkward fighter with a herky -jerky style. He took a lot of blows and a lot of good blows. In the end I was able to come out with the victory.
He was tougher than I thought. It was a little different than most of my fights but it’s good experience. I’m happy to get 10 rounds in.
I just want to keep moving on from here and moving forward. I want to move up the ladder.
JOSE DE JESUS MACIAS
He was a strong fighter and he moved very well. I was able to handle everything he had and I thought I was in the fight.
He has a lot of power. He’s not the best guy I’ve faced but he did enough to get the win tonight.
JOSEPH ELEGELE
I felt good out there. I did my thing. I told everybody that I was going to stop this guy and that’s what I did.
I doubled my left hand and I knew I hurt him. He couldn’t take any more shots so I finished him.
I want to fight someone in the top 15. I want to compete with the best. It’s my time.
DENNIS GALARZA
My opponent was very tough. We fought eight hard rounds with a veteran.
I wanted to get him out of there but we stayed patient and stuck to the game plan. I’m getting better every time out there.
It’s my second time going eight rounds and soon I’ll be ready for ten rounds anyone that wants to get in there with me.
SAMUEL AMAOKO
I went out and gave it my all. I thought it was closer and that I was landing some shots with more power.
He is a very good fighter but I fought well and tried to get the win.

Dyah Davis returns to the ring this Sunday as he takes on Edgar Perez at the Seminole Casino Immokalee

Dyah Davis, “My Father’s spirit lives in me
IMMOKALEE, Florida. (Gener 28, 2016)It has been about a month since Howard Davis Jr. passed away.
The former Olympic star and professional was one of the most well liked people in the boxing community. During the process of Davis falling ill, his son Dyah was by his side and he now vows to carry on the boxing legacy set forth by his father.
Davis of Coconut Creek, Florida will be back in the ring for the first time in a 17 mesos, will take on Edgar Perez diumenge at the Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.
Davis has been trying to get back in the ring sooner, but could not find anyone to step up and fight him.
I was trying to get fights and I always am decent shape,”va dir el 34 anys d'edat, Davis.
I guess that I am too much trouble for contenders and too dangerous for prospects. I guess that means I am high risk and no reward.
When his father passed away on December 30, 2015, Davis began to get even more motivated about his career.
I found my motivation with the passing of my father. His legacy will continue on through me. His spirit is in me. My father was my best friend. He always knew that I have the ability and now it is time to show the world that.
With a possible fight on the horizon and his father living out his last days, Davis made the most of his time with Howard.
My main objective in his last few weeks was to spend as much time as possible. We didn’t talk too much boxing. We watched some of his old tapes as we just saw the impact he made on so many people. It made me feel great to see the people who reached out following his passing. Lots of people reached out in so many ways.
Dyah feels he has a new start in boxing as he has inked a deal with Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions.
I am fortunate that Marshall is giving me a shot. He has put on a lot of shows in the past couple years and I am looking for bigger fights. As seen by my record, I will fight anybody. It just seems everybody wants an easy route these days. My route is that I want to fight only big fights. I feel like I can get there by fighting the best. This is just a fight to get back in the mix of things. I really don’t know anything about him. I will get in there and take care of him.
The fans should look forward to see a new and improved Dyah Davis. My father’s spirit lives within and i will carry on his legacy.
