Un vétéran du sport près de 15 ans, Garcia est à la recherche de sa neuvième victoire consécutive quand il se bat au UIC Pavilion pour la troisième fois sur Avril 24. Né au Mexique, mais après avoir déménagé à Weslaco, Texas à un jeune âge, Garcia a pu accumuler suffisamment de victoires pour se gagner éventuellement un coup à l'ancien champion du monde Antonio Margarito. Désireux de faire son U.S. ses débuts sur Avril 24, le 25-year-old Sulecki n'a jamais perdu depuis le tournant pro en 2010. Combats de Varsovie, Pologne, il fait face à Daryl Cunningham sur Detroit.

 

Un jeune invaincu perspective et juste de 22 ans, Ramirez rend son quatrième départ consécutif à l'UIC Pavilion sur Avril 24. Il était un champion de Chicago Gants d'or et un National Golden Gloves runner-up. Né à Aurora, Illinois, Ramirez affrontera le 28-year-old Hermosillo sur Tijuana, Basse-Californie, Mexique.

BROOKLYN (Avril 12, 2015) – Premier Champions de boxe sur NBC returned with two exciting bouts Samedi night as Danny “Rapide” Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) vaincu Lamont Peterson (33-3-1, 17 KOs) by majority decision and “Irlandais” Andy Lee (34-2-1, 24 KOs) et Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (31-0-1, 22 KOs) fought to a split draw at Barclays Center.

 

The evening’s second main event saw the undefeated Garcia stalk the lightning quick Peterson around the ring while consistently attacking Peterson’s body. Peterson moved well in the first half of the fight, but did not begin engaging offensively until the later rounds.

 

The two exchanged blows throughout a raucous twelfth round that stirred the crowd of 12,300 at Barclays Center into a frenzy. The judges tallies ended at 115-113 for Garcia twice and one score of 114-114.

 

“Je me sens bien. I prepared for a war. He was moving a lot. I thought it was close, not going to lie,” a déclaré Garcia. “It was definitely close the whole way through. I did enough to win and I’m happy with my performance.

 

[On going up in weight] “I feel like I have to go up. It’s affecting my performance, but I feel like I did a great job.”

 

“I did my part. I’m not calling it a robbery but it was a good fight,” a déclaré M. Peterson. “I don’t expect an easy journey for me to get where I’m going. Je me sens bien. That’s probably the least contact I’ve ever had in a fight.”

 

In the first main event, Quillin scored a huge knockdown in the first round and followed it up by putting Lee on the canvas in round three. Lee made adjustments as the fight went on and began to box Quillin effectively, even putting him down in the seventh round.

 

Lee and Quillin landed almost the same percentage of punches with Lee connecting on 38 percent and Quillin on 39 pour cent. One judge scored the bout 113-112 for Lee with another scoring the bout 113-112 for Quillin and the final had a score of 113-113.

 

“There’s a reason why judges are judges. They see it their way. I respect the decision,” Saïd Quillin.

 

[On being knocked down] “There’s a first time for everything. I’m very thankful that I was able to get back up and keep fighting. I took a year off and I was able to go 12-rounds and I could have kept going.”

“I’ve been working on fighting hard, but also smart. I’m going to go in there and dictate the pace and I’m always looking for the knockout. If I can’t knock him out then I’ll be ready to go 12 tours.

 

“It’s always hard making weight, but I’m on weight now. Right now I’m growing into my prime and my body is getting bigger and it’ll be time soon for me to go up in weight.

JULIAN WILLIAMS REMPORTE CONTRE UN TOUGH JOEY HERNANDEZ

QUÉBEC (Avril 4, 2015) – Le inaugurale Premier Champions de boxe (PBC) surCBS carte a lutter contre les fans un après-midi très excitant de matchs de boxe de la ville de Québec Colisée Pepsi. Le principal événement en vedette Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (26-1, 21 KOs) dans un 12-ronde décision unanime palpitante (115-111, 116-110 et 115-110) gagner Sakio “Le Scorpion” Taureau (32-7-3, 21 KOs).

 

L'ouverture télévisé combat scie Artur Beterbiev (8-0, 8 KOs) dans un impressionnant KO quatrième tour gagner Gabriel “Le Handsome Man” Campillo (25-7-1, 11 KOs).

 

L'émission a également présenté les faits saillants de Julien “J Rocher” Williams (19-0-1, 11 KOs) gagner Joey “Fingers Twinkle” Hernandez (24-3-1, 14 KOs).

 

Voici quelques commentaires notables des combattants télévisés concernant leur performancece soir:

 

Adonis Stevenson

 

“Je ai travaillé dur pour être capable d'aller pour 12 tours. Je lui ai laissé tomber deux fois. Il n'a jamais été assommé et je savais qu'il était venu prêt à se battre.

 

“Je ai dit que je serais heureux avec un KO ou d'aller la distance pour obtenir la victoire. Donc, je suis très heureux avec la façon dont je me suis battu aujourd'hui et avec le résultat.

 

“Bika utilisé un peu la tête et a essayé de bagarre, mais je étais en mesure de contrôler la lutte. Je savais qu'il ne avait pas seulement venir au Canada pour le plaisir, mais pour gagner.

 

“Être impliqué avec Premier Champions de boxe et de lutte contre sur CBS a été une grande expérience. Ce est fantastique pour la boxe et nous espérons de plus en plus d'enfants vont commencer à se impliquer dans le sport.

 

“En ce qui concerne ce qui est prévu, Je vais attendre et voir ce que Al (HAYMON) a pour moi. Je serai prêt à repartir en Juin ou Juillet.”

 

Saki BULL

 

“Adonis a mérité de gagner ce combat. Je ne peux pas prendre quelque chose loin de lui. Il se est battu très bien.

 

“Je ai été pris avec une droite et glissé la première fois que je suis descendu. Quand il m'a attrapé avec la gauche et je suis descendu plus tard, elle n'a pas vraiment me affecte beaucoup fait. Il est le champion et il se est battu si un grand combat aujourd'hui.

 

“Fighting sur CBS a été un point culminant incroyable pour ma carrière. Je ne ai pas la victoire, mais je ai mis sur un grand combat pour le public de voir.

 

“Pour l'instant, Je vais rentrer à la maison et profiter de ma famille. Ensuite, je vais voir un autre combat.”

 

ARTUR Beterbiev

 

“Dans ce combat, je ai pu vraiment montrer ce que je suis capable de faire et mon expérience a payé.

 

“Lorsque je ai regardé des images de Campillo je ai remarqué qu'il a fait beaucoup de course. Je ne essayais pas d'être l'agresseur. Je ai juste collé à mon plan de match.

 

“Je suis très heureux d'être sur la grande scène sur CBS à un tel point au début de ma carrière professionnelle. Tout cela se est réuni très rapidement et je espère revenir bientôt.

 

“Nous avons l'intention de se battre à nouveau en mai et je vais laisser mon adversaire celui qui sera dans les mains de Dieu.”

 

Gabriel Campillo

 

“Je ai vraiment voulu pousser Beterbiev dans les tours de retard de ce combat pour voir comment il allait gérer cela, mais je ne ai pas pu pour le faire.

 

“Le poinçon le plus important était la première fois qu'il m'a pris au premier tour. Après ce coup je ne étais pas capable de me retrouver.

 

“Je ai été ravie d'obtenir cette opportunité de se battre sur CBS. Cette production PBC était très agréable d'être une partie de et je pense que la série va faire beaucoup pour aider à développer le sport.

 

“Mon plan pour le moment est de se reposer. Ensuite, nous nous pencherons sur la situation et sur la lutte contre voyons à nouveau.”

 

JULIAN WILLIAMS

 

“Il n'y avait pas de sous-estimer Hernandez pour ce combat. Nous avons étudié beaucoup de film sur lui et avait une assez bonne idée de ce qu'il allait faire dans le ring aujourd'hui.

 

“Je pensais que mon jab et mes mouvements étaient mes deux grandes forces dans cette lutte. Couper la bague a été la clé.

 

“Cette série PBC et ayant les combats sur un réseau majeur comme CBS est énorme pour le sport de la boxe. Ce est génial d'entrer dans beaucoup plus de maisons, et je espère que cela contribue à rendre le sport plus populaire. Espérons que cela atteigne ces enfants qui ne peuvent pas se permettre câble premium et contribue à encourager les plus jeunes enfants à entrer dans le sport.

 

“Je ne sais pas quelle est la prochaine. Je vais attendre pour Al (HAYMON) pour me faire savoir, mais je espère vraiment pour un tir à un sommet 10 combattant avant le cours de l'année.”

 

JOEY HERNANDEZ

 

“Williams est probablement le meilleur combattant que je ai affronté jusqu'à présent. Il ne est pas le frappeur le plus dur, mais il a mené une lutte très intelligent. Il a utilisé sa hauteur et en profondeur pour me garder de mon jab et de rester hors de ma gamme.

 

“Malheureusement, je ai dû prendre poinçons pour donner coups de poing dans cette lutte. Quand je suis entré, je ai pu obtenir mes coups off, mais je ne pouvais pas en faire assez pour obtenir la victoire.

 

“Ce était un grand combat pour les fans et les combats sur CBS m'a donné une grande opportunité pour beaucoup plus de gens de voir ces combats.

 

“Je suis encore jeune à 30-ans. Je sais que je serai de retour dans le ring. Je le fais parce que je veux et je l'aime, non pas parce que je ai besoin.”
