Knight knocked Floyd down in round one with a nice left-right combination.

GH3 Promotions fighters shine in Philly!

NUTLEY, Њу Џерси (Април 6, 2018)-Two of GH3 Promotions top fighters remained undefeated last Friday night at The Fillmore in Philadelphia.

 

 

 

Супер средна Ronald Ellis won a six-round unanimous decision over Taneal Goyco, а Joey Alday, Џуниор. kept his perfect knockout record intact by stopping Michael Crain in the 3rd round of their junior middleweight bout.

We will bring him along nicely, and have him back in May.”

Hawkins used his length to pick and land shots on the inside. Hawkins raced to the early lead, but the veteran Serrano got going in the middle rounds as he used his experience to get himself back into the fight by winning scrums on the inside and an occasional long right hand. Down the stretch, Hawkins dug down deep and took control of the fight as seemed to be the fresher fighter. Hawkins who had never been past seven rounds, paced himself well against a tough Serrano, who never showed any signs of retreating as the two stood and fought until the final bell.

 

 

 

Hawkins of Baltimore, MD won by scores of 98-92, 97-93 и 96-94 to raise his perfect mark to 13-0. Serrano of Philadelphia was urged on by his loyal fan base, but fell just short, and now drops to 24-5.

 

 

 

Heavyweight prospect Darmani Rock landed a hard right to the body that dropped Ronny Hale down and out at 1:27 of round two of their scheduled six-round bout.

Undefeated Super Middleweight Ronald Ellis Takes On Taneal Goyco This Friday Night At The Fillmore In Philadelphia

Raymond Serrano looks to continue career upswing against Malik Hawkins This Friday night in Philadelphia

Serrano whose winning streak has coincided with his changing of training venues to Los Angeles, has defeated three fighters in a row that sport a combined record of 25-4.

I don;t think he will be able to do to me what he has to his previous opponents.”
Cipparone has been seeing the steady improvement in the 11 year-veteran Serrano.
“His last four fights have developed him further then he has at any point in his career. I would even say beginning with his fight against (Undefeated Prospect) Alex Saucedo. Raymond would have won the fight if he didn’t get caught in the 2nd round. Look at the scores. I think that fight was a turning point for him. It gave him the confidence that he could compete on the level of the top of the division,” said Cipparone, who also manages heavyweight Joey Dawejko.
“Raymond has the natural ability to go along with a tremendous ring I.Q. He is such a sophisticated fighter in there, and now he has found that warrior inside of him. I feel it is his time to get to the top of the welterweight division. This fight is a gift to the promoters as it is for the NABA-USA title with the winner not only going to get the belt, but a ranking in the WBA. You don’t see fights like this on the club level shows.”

The event celebrates the biggest and best achievements of the Philadelphia-area boxing scene, and is normally attended by boxers – и минатото и сегашноста, other boxing personalities, and fight fans.
“2017 was a memorable year for our local boxing scene, and it will be great to bring everyone together to celebrate it,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “Our event is really just a party – food, drinks, and a coming together of everyone who loves this sport. It’s always great to see the mix of people that come to the Briscoe Awards. The highlight however, is throwing the spotlight on the fighters who worked so hard to entertain all of us fans. It’s always a good day and a fun time.”
Attending the Briscoe Awards this year will be big winner TYRONE BRUNSON, who will receive three awards – за “Fighter”, “Борбата”, и “Performance of the Year”, AVERY SPARROW, both the “Проспект на годината” и “Breakout Fighter of 2017”, JARON ENNIS, named “The One to Watch”, DYLAN PRICE, на “Дебитант на годината”, MARCEL RIVERS, who scored the “Нокаут на годината”, RAYMOND FORD, на “Amateur of the Year”, и JEROME CONQUEST, who will receive the “Everett Brothers Award”.

PHILADELPHIA – Nine area photographers will each exhibit one photo highlighting local boxing action from 2017 на 11th Annual Briscoe Awards на Март 25, 2018, на VBA Clubhouse in Philadelphia. The photos will also be judged by those attending the event to determine the “2017 Photo of the Year”. All attendees of the event will be given a ballot and asked to vote for their favorite photo from the nine selections. The photo chosen as the best of the year will win its photographer a Briscoe Award.
“This is the second year we’ve shined a spotlight on the many ring photographers who cover our local fight scene,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “I really appreciate what the photographers do and the contribution they make to our boxing scene. Their photos capture the highs and lows of the sport we love, and it is important to acknowledge that.”
The Briscoe Awards commemorate the biggest and best accomplishments of the Philly-area boxing scene.
