Philadelphia, PA. (März 11, 2017) – Tyrone Brunson won a 8-round split decision over Bandon Quarles in the main event of a 8-bout card in front of a packed house at the SugarHouse Casino.
The show was promoted by King’s Promotions.
It was a action filled fight that saw both guys be the aggressor at different stages of the fight. Brunson showed a more versatile side of him, that many boxing fans haven;t seen in years from him. One which differed from the prodigious knockout puncher that Brunson was known for when he knocked out the 1st 19 fighters he faced in the 1st round.
This Brunson used his legs to set up punches off of the jab, which he also landed several times with power behind that stick. Quarles was very game as he had his moments and landed hard shots that kept Brunson honest. Brunson landed more and harder, and he came out with the victory by scores of 78-74 und 77-75. Quarles took a card at 77-75.
Brunson of Philadelphia is now 24-6-2. Quarles of Alexandria, Virginia ist 18-4-1.

It was a tough grind-it-out fight until Gonzales was deducted a point in the 30 seconds for holding for holding.

Rodriguez of Haymarket, Virginia won two cards 58-55 und 57-56, while Gonzales of Philadelphia took a card 57-56.

Rodriguez is 7-6-1. Gonzales is 8-2-2.

Carlos Roasrio got off the floor but scored a 3rd round stoppage over Lance Williams in a scheduled 6-round lightweight bout.

Rosario scored a knockdown in round two from a right hand. Seconds later, it was Williams who floored Rosario with a hard right in the corner. In Runde drei, Rosario decked Williams with a hard left hook. Williams got to his feet, but referee Steve Smoger stopped the bout at 46 Sekunden der dritten Runde.

Victor Vazquez scored a 1st round stoppage over Mike Fowler in a scheduled 6-round super lightweight bout.

Vazquez was all over Fowler and dropped him with a left in the corner. Fowler could not beat the 10-count at 1:38.

Sam Oropeza made an emphatic pro debut as he needed just 35 seconds to destroy fellow pro debuter Joe Parkinson in their cruiserweight bout.

Oropeza landed a left that dropped Parkinson. The back of Parkinson’s head crashed on the canvas, and he was knocked out cold for several moments before ringside physicians were able to to get him to his feet.

Brandon Robinson won a 4-round unanimous decision over Lamont McLaughlin in a light heavyweight bout.

Robinson dropped McLaughlin in round three and cruised home to a victory by 40-35 Karten.

Robinson of Philadelphia is 2-1. McLaughlin of Philadelphia was making his pro debut.

Vincent Floyd stopped Blaine Donkor in round two of their scheduled 4-round welterweight bout.

Floyd landed a hard flurry that forced referee Steve Smoger to stop the bout at 1:48.

Floyd of Philadelphia is now 2-2-1 mit einem KO-. Donkor of Washington, D.C. was making his pro debut.

Edward Ortiz and Sharif Jones battled to a 4-round spirited draw in a super middleweight bout.

Brunson of Philadelphia has a record of 23-6-2, mit 22 Knockouts.
Die 32 year-old Brunson turned professional in 2005, and started his career with 19 consecutive 1st round knockouts. Included in that streak was a stoppage over James Morrow (8-1-2). In his last bout Brunson and Ismael Garcia fought to a 10-round draw on October 14, 2016 in Philadelphia.
“My camp has been great,” sagte Brunson. “I don’t know much about Quarles, but I am coming to work. I don’t know if he will be putting in the work that I will on March 11.”
Brunson, who a decade ago was destined for greatness, believes a win will put him right back in the mix for a title shot.
“This win would put me closer to my dream. Weather it is fighting for the USBA title or the NABF, I know something big will come after this.”

Greg Cohen Promotions Signs Heavyweight Contender Joey Dawejko to a Promotional Agreement

Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of heavyweight contender Joey Dawejko (17-4-3, 10 KOs).

Dawejko (pronounced Da-Vayko) von Philadelphia, has been a classic underachiever, so weit, in his professional career, but says the addition of Cohen as his promoter is just one of the changes he has made.

The 26-year-old Philadelphian has always been a talent but, admittedly, hasn’t always been in the best shape for his fights. “My manager, Mark Cipparone, changed my life,” er erklärte. “I used to take fights on a week’s notice for no money, so I never gave it 100%. Mehr, I was working 12-14 hours a day as a roofer. The first day I got with him, I told him I can’t make the gym today because I’m going to be working and couldn’t get there in time. He said ‘Quit. This is your full-time job now.'”

“Everything is going to be different from now on,” Said Dawejko. “I’m a different person, a different fighter, different everything and I’m getting a lot better. I have a new team and I’m training out in Los Angeles. I’m living a new life and happy to finally be working with Greg Cohen. He can get me the big fights I need. It’s going to be great because I just need a chance at another big-name opponent.”

Despite his relatively young 26 Jahre, Dawejko has been boxing since age nine, where he debuted as a junior flyweight. The lifelong experience enables him to use his 5′ 10″ height to work move in under the punches of today’s heavyweight giants and do solid work. He managed to hold top contender Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller to a draw in 2013.

It was a decision loss to top contender Amir Mansour in 2015, jedoch, that brought him forward leaps and bounds as a fighter.

“It was my first 10-round fight and I just wasn’t myself that night. It cost me a loss, but it was probably a good thing because I learned so much from that fight. As soon as it was over, I was a better fighter. I realized what I have to do better and different.”

“Joey is still young for a heavyweight,” sagte Greg Cohen. “In der Vergangenheit, he hasn’t been as well-prepared as he should have been and still managed to beat almost everyone he faced. A focused and determined Joey Dawejko is a problem for anyone in the world and I’m 100% sure Joey can win a world title. Philadelphia – Januar 28, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicked off 2017 with a bang at 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia. Philly boxing fans were treated to seven fights featuring undefeated, world class talent, headlined by four-time National Amateur Champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis versus Puerto Rico’s Elvin Perez.

Ennis remained undefeated when an early body shot brought Perez to his knees in the first round of their scheduled six round contest. Perez was unable to continue, and Ennis improved to 9-0, mit 8 of his wins coming by knockout.

Im Co-Main Event, local boxer/cop Manny Folly sensationally knocked out Carlos Morgan (12-5, 6KO) in der ersten Runde, bringing his record to 9-0, 7KO.

Carlos “Die Tiburon” Sanchez (12-0, 11KO) was victorious in his 12th outing, stopping Somner Martin in the 3rd round. Coachella’s Brandun Lee (1-0, 1KO) won his debut over Indiana’s Christopher Johnson. Adam Daranyi was also successful in his ring return, knocking out Lenwood Dozier in the second round to improve to 10-0, 10KO.

PHILADELPHIA – Januar 26, 2017 – Victory Boxing Promotions returns to 2300 Arena in Philadelphia tonight with an eight-bout card stacked with elite, ungeschlagene Aussichten. It’s a step up in competition for Ennis, who beat Marcus Bedford via sixth round technical knockout in December. “We are moving Boots very fast,” Victory Boxing Promotions Founder and Promoter said of the young talent, who began his pro career last April with four national amateur championships and two of Philadelphia’s famed Briscoe Awards under his belt. “Boots is the real deal, and we’re going to see how he fares against a much more experienced opponent am Samstag.”

Im Co-Main Event, boxer-cop Manny Folly (8-0, 6KO) Gesichter Mexikos Carlos Morgan (12-4, 6KO) in a six round bout. The bantamweight impressed crowds in November with a first round knockout over the more experienced Tibor Nadori. The young talent splits his time between boxing and policing the rough North Philadelphia neighborhood in which he grew up. Another hot Philadelphia prospect, Joshua Jones (3-0-1, 2KO), will step into the ring in his hometown versus an as yet to be determined foe. Local prospect Darren Goodall (3-0, 2KO) kicks off the Philadelphia action in a four-round, super middleweight bout versus Gary Hudson Jr. (Debüt). Six-foot Philly featherweight Don Smith (3-0, 2KO) is also in action versus Indiana’s Chris Nelson.

Auch auf der Karte, Victory Boxing’s busiest prospect, Mexican Junior Welterweight Carlos Sanchez (11-0, 10KO), who fought eleven times in 2016 including his January debut, faces Virginia’s Somner Martin (6-3, 4KO). Canadian knockout artist Adam Daranyi (9-0, 9KO) returns to the ring for the first time since July of last year to face experienced Maryland fighter Lenwood Dozier (12-15-2, 5KO).

Victory Boxing Promotions will debut two exciting new professionals am Samstag. Coachella welterweight Brandun Lee will embark on his professional career after a stellar amateur career that included three National Golden Gloves titles. Philadelphia, PA (Januar 12, 2017)– Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is excited to announce the promotional company has inked a 5-fight deal to stage high quality boxing events at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Those dates, which will be in April, Mai, Juni, September and December, and will help make KIng’s Promotions the busiest promoter on the east coast for the 3rd straight year.
Those five dates are added to at least four dates at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
King’s Promotions 1st date of 2017 will come on Samstag, February 11th at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland.
Königs Promotions, which has been one of the most active promoters in the United States, staged events in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. in 2016, and is eager to continue putting on entertaining cards that will not only feature the best fighter’s from the Delaware and Lehigh Valley, but the top fighters from all over the world in nationally televised events.

PHILADELPHIA – Dezember 27, 2016 – Victory Boxing Promotions kicks off 2017 mit “Super Brawl,” a ten-bout card featuring world class talent from Philadelphia and beyond, Samstag, 28. Januar bei 2300 Arena in South Philly.
Jaron Ennis (8-0, 7KO) will showcase his talents at welterweight in his ninth fight since his professional debut in April of last year. Ennis, who took home his second Briscoe Award earlier this year for his outstanding amateur career, delivered a phenomenal performance in his sixth round stoppage of Marucs Beckford (3-5-3, 1KO) früher in diesem Monat. The Ennis family has deep roots in the Philadelphia boxing scene. The 19-year-old is trained by his father and former professional boxer, Bohrturm “Bozy” Ennis, and is the younger brother of Derrick “Pooh” Ennis and Farah Ennis, who were themselves accomplished professional boxers.

Another Philadelphia favorite, Superbantamgewicht Manny “Major Pain” Torheit (8-0, 6KO), continues his quest to remain undefeated, while setting an example for the kids in his community. The Philadelphia Police Officer splits his time between training for boxing and protecting his community and fellow Philadelphia residents. He turned heads in his last fight, a first round knockout win over Hungarian Tibor Nadori (9-7-1, 4KO) im November.

Chester, PA (September 28, 2016)–Undefeated junior welterweight David “TwoGunz” Gonzales is looking for a big effort this Freitag Nacht when he takes on the tested Samuel Seah in an eight-round bout that will headline a 9-fight card at Harrahs Philadelphia.

“Training ha been great. I been on weight since five days before the fight. Ich fühle mich stark, and I am ready for a big win on Friday,” , sagte Gonzalez.
This won’t be the first time that Gonzales and Teah have shared a ring, so Gonzales has a little scouting report on his opponent.
“I sparred with him once and he is a pretty skillful guy. He is from Philly, so I know he has heart but he is not on my level. The sparring session was about 6 Runde. I haven’t watched any tape on him, but I know the only way he can win is if he is in better shape and I know that’s not possible because I am great shape. I am also naturally bigger, so I think that will be a factor.”
This is another “Philly vs. Philly” Matchup, which is always special to the fans in attendance.
“We are both from Philly. People look forward to seeing these matchups and especially this early in our careers, but I am the one that will have my hands raised.”
