NEW YORK - Maart 13, 2018 – Combate Americas announced six new matchups today for “Combate Estrellas I,” the premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise’s first live television event of 2018, and the first event of a two-part series featuring a collection of Combate Americas’ top estrellas, or “stars,” that will take place at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Calif. op Vrijdag, April 13.

The newly announced bouts include a featherweight (145 pond) main card battle between fellow rising stars Jose "Froggy" Estrada (4-1), representing the U.S., en Pablo “Gallo Negro” Sabori (8-4) van Mexico.

A winner of Combate Americas’ first-ever open fighter tryout in 2016, the 25-year-old Garcia of Mexicali, Baja California, has defeated all of his opponents to date by way of submission inside of two rounds, while the 28-year-old Gibson, die vecht uit Los Angeles, is a winner of his last five bouts.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – November 30, 2017 –The fighters stepped on the scale and faced off with each other on Thursday, November. 30, one day before the “TS-1 Promotions Presents: Gevecht 19 (Queen Warriors)" Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) extravaganza, headlined by the much-anticipated women’s atomweight (105 pond) showdown between rivals Kyra "Mogwai" Batara (6-4) en Paulina “Firefox” Granados (4-2), live on Telemundo at 12 a.m. EN/11 p.m. CT on Friday, December. 1 from Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.

After Batara of Las Vegas, Nev. missed weight by one pound (107.4 pond) after the contracted, one-pound allowance was considered, an agreement was made between her and Granados (4-2), who weighed in at 105.5 pond, to proceed with the bout as planned.

The victor of the matchup between the 23-year-old Batara of Las Vegas, Nev. and the 29-year-old Granados of Corpus Christi, Texas – both unbeaten to date in La Jaula – will represent the U.S. against ferocious finisher Lisbeth “Coneja” Lopez Silva (5-3) in the first-ever Combate Americas Pan-Regional championship bout in February 2018.

The event takes place just three weeks after Combate Americas made its live debut on Telemundo Deportes on Saturday, November. 11 with “COPA COMBATE,” an epic affair headlined by a one-night, eight-man bantamweight (135 pond) tournament that awarded its winner – Levy Saul Marroquin (11-2) of Monterrey, Mexico – a grand prize of $100,000.

“COPA COMBATE,” which took place in Cancun, Mexico, marked the first live Telemundo broadcast in history of MMA programming, and saw Marroquin defeat three top-ranked, world-class opponents in one night to emerge the tournament victor.

Kyra Batara vs. Paulina Granados
The 23-year-old Batara of Las Vegas, Nev., a former high school cheerleader turned grappling expert, is coming off a stellar, tweede ronde (3:46) submission of 12-time Spanish national judo champion Vanesa Rico at “Combate Clasico” in Miami, Fla. op Juli 27.

Daten, Batara is unbeaten in Combate Americas television action, winning all four of her bouts – three by way of submission.

Granados is a 29-year-old native of Corpus Christi, Texas, now fighting out of San Diego, Calif. where she trains with a handful of the world’s top fighters.

Granados will look to notch her third straight victory on December 1.

Andres Quintana vs. Koning Trujillo

Quintana is a heavy-handed, 26-year-old rising star fighting out of Roswell, N.M. He is aiming for his third consecutive victory after earning back-to-back unanimous decisions over Uria Faber beschermd Erick Sanchez and Mexican contender Levy Saul Marroquin op Februari 16 en juni 30, respectievelijk.

In another bantamweight contest, Blackzilians team member and rising starIrwin “The Beast” Rivera (5-1) will collide with undefeated submission expert Cristobal “El Mosquito” Chavez (4-0).

Erick Sanchez vs. Victor Martinez

Fighting out of Boca Raton, Fla., the home of the Blackzilians fight squad, the 5-foot-6, 27-year-old Rivera, who will make his debut under the promotion of Combate Americas, was raised in New Windsor, N.Y.. after being born in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico. He jump started his professional career with a split decision victory over Andre Cuff on november 7, 2014, and ran to three consecutive wins thereafter.

In his last outing on Maart 25, Rivera submitted Jose Ceja in third round (4:45) of battle with a rear-naked choke.

De 5-foot-7, 26-year-old Chavez of El Paso, Texas has yet to be beaten in a combined eight professional and amateur bouts. Three of his four professional wins have come via (T)KO of onderwerping.

Chavez is coming off a second round (4:14) onderwerping (armlock) van Ronny Perrogon op Juni 11.

Paulina Granados vs. Jenna Serio

A native of Corpus Christi, Texas where she excelled in power lifting as a high school student, the 5-foot-2, 28-year-old Granados fights out of the famed Alliance MMA team in San Diego, Calif.

Granados made her Combate Americas debut in her last start on Mei 9, earning a split decision over longtime rival Stephanie Alba, whom Granados had defeated twice previously during their amateur days.

Serio of Brooklyn, N.Y.. is a 5-foot-2, 24-year-old upstart who will enter the Combate Americas cage for the first time, riding a two-fight win streak.

In her last effort, Serio handily submitted Sadee Monserrate with a rear-naked choke in the first round (2:50) of their matchup on Juni 3.
