NOVA YORK (Maig 15, 2019) – Having recently surpassed the six-million views mark and celebrating its second anniversary, FIGHTNIGHT LIVE Powered by Everlast next sets its sights on our nation’s capital, ready to deliver a big Washington, D.C., card on Saturday. Fox faces an experienced foe in Nick Brinson (19-4-2, 9 KOs) of upstate New York in a super middleweight contest across eight rounds. Recently named “Washington dc. Police Officer of the Year,” undefeated pro Tiara Brown (7-0) meets four-time world title challenger Angel Gladney (10-14-1, 6 KOs) of South Carolina. Area standouts Patrick Harris (15-0, 8 KOs), Jordan Blanca (7-1, 6 KOs), Sam creuats (8-0, 5 KOs), Renaldo Gaines (9-2, 3 KOs) i George Harris (2-0, 2 KOs) all put their formidable records on the line, free on Facebook.

WASHINGTON, D.C. As Broner wore his opponent down it became easier for him to overpower Theophane and finally stop him in the ninth round.
“When people fight me, they come with their ‘A’ joc, and he came with his ‘A’ joc. But even his ‘A’ game wasn’t enough aquesta nit.
“As you know, I’ve been going through a lot and for me to come in here and bottle everything up and do what I did, I want to give myself a pat on the back.”
Theophane was disappointed and didn’t agree with the stoppage.
“I thought the stoppage was premature because I thought I was in the fight. Me and Broner were going at it. It looked like he was starting to get tired because he started to move around and wasn’t able to stay there with me as much.
“I thought the fight was back and forth and I think the next four rounds would have been the same. No way should the fight have gotten stopped. It’s a shame the referee did that. I was telling the referee, ‘I’m okay, I’m okay.’ Then he waived it off. I don’t know what he was thinking.”
Broner and Mayweather, who promotes Theophane, have been engaged in a war of words throughout the promotion. Broner challenged the 11-time world champion immediately following his victory.
“I’m a man, but at the end of the day, somebody that I look up to, someone that I admire took the chance to do an interview and talk bad about me. I’m a man – Floyd has got to see me.
“I come from nothing. I’m talking about water and Cornflakes. And I would never let a man disrespect me like that. So you gotta see me. I don’t care if we’re sparring or if we’re fighting, let’s get it on.
Mayweather did not address the comments.
In the co-feature bout of the night, invicte Robert Pasqua Jr. (17-0, 14 KO) showed why he’s a rising star with a devastating KO at 2:43 al 5º round over former world champion Algenis Mendez (23-4-1, 12 KOs) in a lightweight fight that finished with the crowd on their feet. Pasqua, who took a big step up in competition facing Mendez, showed the patience of a season veteran in the early rounds against Mendez who represented the Dominican Republic in the 2004 Olympics and now fights out of Brooklyn.
It didn’t take Easter long to get comfortable and pick up his pace in the third and fourth rounds, with an array of body shots and uppercuts, that found their mark against the game Mendez. Easter closed the show when he knocked down Mendez with a devastating one punch knock-out via a stiff right hand. Mendez got up from the knocked down but was unable to continue, forcing the referee to stop the contest.

“I don’t have any excuses. I’m glad that I feel fine physically, that’s the most important thing right now. Robert Easter is a good fighter, he did really well and I wish him the best in his career.”

Davis continued his assault in the fifth when he landed a straight left hand to send Avila to the canvas. In the sixth and final round Davis came out of his corner and immediately jumped on his opponent causing the referee to halt the action.
“I knew he was a strong opponent. He kept bouncing back and I actually thought he was going to get up at the end too. He is very experienced and I thank him for taking the fight. He brought out the best in me.
“There is always room to get better and better, but this is another step toward my dream. I’m happy with my performance and it is even more special to have done it where I made my pro debut, so close to home.
“I’m happy I could get this victory for my team, Floyd Mayweather and everyone that supports me.”
“We prepared really well and think we did well,” said Avila “The cut came from a head-butt which complicated the situation for me as it didn’t let me see properly from that point forward. But it is what it is -he won. He’s good, and he hits hard.
“I appreciate everyone who was supporting me and my team. This is not the end of my career. I’m young and this is the type of sport where you just have to bounce back. We’re going to move on with our head up. There’s no other choice.”

Another rising prospect at just 21-years-old, Harris has stayed busy since turning pro in June 2014 with a first-round stoppage of George Palmer. Most recently the Hyattsville, Maryland born fighter picked up victories over Irvin Hernandez, Rafael Vazquez, Carlos Acevedo and Sean Lockhart in 2015.
Llorer, Maryland’s Nicholson is another prospect that has been keeping busy since turning pro and will look for another great performance in front of a friendly D.C. crowd. The 23-year-old impressively stopped veteran Milton Nunez in the first round of their October 2015 lluita.

Maicelo no és un lluitador que vol ser protegit i mimat per tornar a la contenció, que vol guanyar-lo lluitant oposició de primera qualitat.

Brandon Bennett sobre Jonathan Maicelo en 10 assalts esdeveniment principal d'aquesta nit de divendres al Walter E. Washington Convention Center a Washington, Corrent continu

Washington, Corrent continu (Agost 25, 2015) Aquest divendres a la nit, Agost 28 al Walter E. Washington Convention Center a la capital de la nació de Washington, Corrent continu, Promocions del Rei presentaran una nit espectacular de la boxa que comptarà amb alguns dels millors talents als Estats Units.

En l'esdeveniment principal, Brandon Bennett (19-1, 8 Nocauts) s'enfrontaran amb l'ex reptador mundial Jonathan Maicelo (21-2, 12 Nocauts) en un combat de pes lleuger programat per al 10 rondes.

Bennett, de Cincinnati, Ohio ha estat entrenant dur per Maicelo, que ha desafiat per un títol mundial interí.

“La capacitació ha estat bona. He estat en el pes durant uns dies. Ha sigut 2 mesos durs, però la part difícil de la formació i la dieta ha acabat i estic preparat per lluitar,” va dir Bennett.

Quan se li va preguntar sobre Maicelo, Bennett no s'ocupa del seu oponent, malgrat Maicelo té victòries sobre Art Hovhannisyan i l'ex retador mundial Fernando Angulo.

“Ell és un boxejador ortodox. A ell li agrada venir i li agrada Counter Punch. Ell va poder haver lluitat pel títol, però jo sóc el boxejador més experimentat. He lluitat bons i obtenir el millor combat. Tot això no importa, perquè al final del dia, hem de lluitar. ”

Bennett s'adona que una victòria sobre Maicelo empenyerà ell molt prop d'una baralla per un títol mundial i una victòria divendres li donarà una altra victòria qualitat per afegir al seu currículum.

“Esperem que en la propera baralla o dues, Vaig a estar en la posició. Copejant m'hauria d'haver considerat com un dels principals.”

Si aquest és el cas, Bennett s'unirà companys de gimnàs i amics propers, Adrien Broner i Rau'shee Warren com el proper combat de l'entrenador, Gimnàs Cincinnati Mike Stafford per lluitar per un títol mundial. Bennett rep entrenament de classe mundial i consells tots els dies de Broner, un campió mundial en tres divisions i Warren, 1 tres vegades U.S. Reptador olímpic i el títol mundial.

“Em vaig ficar en la boxa als vuit anys. Jo era un jugador de futbol. Rau'shee vivia pel carrer de mi i em va demanar de caminar al gimnàs amb ell. Ja havia estat la boxa i Mike Stafford ens va demanar que entrenar. Ell va aconseguir el millor de mi aquest dia, però em vaig quedar amb ella.
