Being that they are in the same city, there is the aforementioned history between the two fighters.
“We fought as amateurs, and I won that fight. Since the, we have sparred a couple times, and that has given me a great scouting report on him, and let’s just say I feel very comfortable going into this fight.”
Fighting against another Philly fighter is nothing new for Robinson as he already has a victory over Lamont McLaughlin.
“I have been through this, and these kind of fights bring out the best of me, and with a winპარასკევი, this will open up many doors for me that I never expected to be opened. I am looking for a complete performance, The fans will see power in both hands, craftiness, ring generalship and a huge heart. For the 26 year-old Brooker, he has been here before but he wants to get back in the win column after losing to undefeated Light Heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali in a fight that he took on short notice on 18 ივლისს.
“I got right back in the gym after that fight. I been working for 12 weeks. I have a new personal trainer Jermaine Clark and my new trainer Octavio Pineda,” said Brooker.
Brooker does not believe that the amateur loss to Robinson means anything going into Friday night.
“Yea, it does not mean anything. It was my 3rd amateur fight. The sparring sessions were good. I treated them like I wanted to get some revenge for losing to him, and I am very confident after those sessions. This fight for me is about getting this belt . People will see me outwork him and outclass him.”
Brooker has made his name throughout the boxing circles with his willing to fight and defeat anybody at anytime. That is evidenced by his wins over Leo Hall, John მაგდა, Antowyan Aikens and Gabriel Pham. Brooker also stepped up to face Elbiali, Ronald Gavril and Ronald Ellis, and he became a favorite on national television because of his tough as nails style.
“Robinson is just another guy in front of me. I been in and defeated much more experienced fighters then him. He has not have anything that I have not seen in the ring. I am not looking past him, I am looking through him. I was beating Gavril before the fight was unjustly stopped. He went on to barely lose in a bid for a world title and now he is getting a rematch with him, so that just shows what level I am on. I want that rematch or (WBC Champion) David Benevidez.”

Cherry came out aggressive from the opening bell, landing a strong left hook and backing up Douglas early and often over the first few rounds. Douglas attempted to control the fight with his jab and movement and had some success moving his head to avoid many of the power punches from Cherry.
Douglas did well as he increased his attack to the body in the middle rounds and continued to move backward to avoid the power punches being thrown by Cherry. The differing styles left the judges with a decision to make in weighing the movement and technique of Douglas versus the aggression of Cherry.
ბოლოს, the consistency of Cherry’s attack, who frequently targeted Douglas with combinations to the head, was more effective in the minds of the judges. The final score totals were 98-92 და 96-94 twice for Cherry.
Additional action featured Philadelphia’s სტივენ Fulton (11-0, 5 Kos) earning a unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Luis Rosario (8-1-1, 7 Kos) in their eight-round super bantamweight contest.
Rosario was the more aggressive fighter in the early rounds, but it was Fulton who timed his opponent first and built up an early lead with a combination of check hooks and power punches. Fulton was patient against the attack-minded Rosario and was able to counter effectively while avoiding Rosario’s power punches.
Fulton continued to have success in the middle rounds as Rosario’s attack slowed, but the Puerto Rican fighter came out with an increased level of aggression in round seven and tagged Fulton during several exciting exchanges.
Despite the increasing pressure, Fulton was able to stay composed and fend off Rosario over the final two rounds on his way to winning a unanimous decision by scores of 78-74, 79-73 და 80-72.
The opening bout of the telecast saw Bethlehem’s Frank DeAlba (22-2-2, 9 Kos) score a unanimous decision over Ryan Kielczweski (26-3, 8 Kos) ამ რვა ტურში სუპერ featherweight bout.
The hometown fighter got off to a slow start as Kielczweski appeared to control the early rounds using his movement and tagging the southpaw with right hands. DeAlba began to work on the inside of his opponent and found more success starting in the fourth round.
Once he had closed the distance, DeAlba began to land hooks to the head and smothered much of Kielczweski’s offense. With an increased emphasis on body-punching in the late rounds, DeAlba turned the tide of the fight in the judges’ minds and earned a unanimous decision by scores of 77-75 ორჯერ და 80-72.

“Fulton is a good boxer. He did not want to fight man-to-man, but he moved well. He was shying away from exchanging with me.
“I thought it was a close fight that could have gone either way. I blocked a lot of his punches with my gloves.”

Cherry of Wauchula, Florida has had a smooth camp while training in the Sunshine State and is ready for the 46th start of his professional start.
“Everything is good, and we will be prepared for everything on 4 აპრილს,” said the 34-year-old Cherry.
“On 4 აპრილს, whatever Douglas brings, we will be prepared for. This is not the first time, that I’ve been in this position. He is the guy who has to prove he can perform. I have been there before, so the pressure is on him.”

READING, PA (მარტი 18, 2017) – In a 12-round heavyweight war that lived up to the hype, Amir Mansour (23-2-1, 16 Kos) was able to take a majority decision (114-114, 117-111, 115-113) over Travis Kauffman (31-2, 23 Kos) in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions: The Next Round on Bounce from Santander Arena in Reading, PA.

რაუნდი ორი, Kauffman buckled Mansour with a hard right on the inside. The two fighters started round four with bad intentions as they each landed hard shots on the inside. Kauffman switched back and forth between orthodox and southpaw stances in an attempt to befuddle the southpaw Mansour.

By the closing rounds, both fighters began to grind out a hard-fought battle on the inside. In rounds nine and 10, it was Mansour who had more pep in his step, landing several hard blows to close out round 10.

მრგვალი 12 was a classic heavyweight slugfest, as Kauffman and Mansour stood toe-to-toe landing leather on each other for the whole three-minute period, with Mansour doing just enough to get the win.

The co-main event featured two-time welterweight world champion Kermit Cintron (39-5-3, 30 Kos) and David Grayton (15-1-1, 11 Kos) fighting to a technical majority draw after Cintron was deemed unable to continue due to a cut over his right eye.
