FOURTH PRO BOUT ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 8 MMA EVENT IN PORTLAND

PER IL RILASCIO IMMEDIATO: Portland, Maine (Dicembre 10, 2019) - Combattimenti New England (NEF) will hold its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) evento, “NEF 42: Symphony of Destruction,” il Sabato, Febbraio 8, 2020 at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. Earlier today, NEF announced the addition of a professional catchweight fight to the card.Nate “Backpack” Boucher farà il suo debutto professionale contro“Sleepy” Norman Fox (0-1) con un peso lotta di 130 libbre.

2019 was a banner year for Boucher. He finished his amateur career with a stellar 6-3 record and captured NEF’s amateur flyweight title at “NEF 41” last month in what would be his final amateur fight. Boucher has won his last four fights in a row – all by first round rear-naked choke submission. Shortly after his title victory, Boucher engaged in a heated exchange on Facebook with Fox who challenged Boucher to enter the pro ranks to fight him. Boucher was quick to accept the challenge. He currently represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) of Lewiston, Maine.

“I closed out 2019 by doing exactly what I said I was going to do,” stated Boucher.  “I went 3-0 and won the New England Fights Amateur Flyweight Title. I planned on taking time off to focus on my unborn child’s arrival. Tuttavia, Norman had quite a mouthful to say and asked for the fight. Così, I did what fighters do and took the fight immediately. Norman Fox returns to the NEF cage after a four year hiatus from competition. He was last seen at “NEF 21” in February 2016 in a losing effort in his professional debut. Fox went 4-2 come un dilettante, finishing his opponents in all four of his wins. Fox is currently a member of First Class MMA based in Brunswick, Maine.

FLYWEIGHT SCRAP PROMISES EXCITEMENT AT NEF 21

Lewiston, Maine (Aprile 24, 2015) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), Numero uno di promozione lotta regionale dell'America, terrà la sua XVIII-arti marziali miste (MMA) evento, “NEF XVIII: Fatto in America,” su Sabato, Giugno 13, 2015 al Androscoggin Bank Colisee a Lewiston, Maine. Proprio oggi, the promotion announced that the inaugural NEF MMA Amateur Flyweight Champion will be determined that evening when Dustin Veinott (3-3) rivincite “Assonnato” Norman Fox (4-1) at the flyweight limit of 125-pounds. Veinott and Fox initially met in their double amateur debut at “NEF IX” a Biddeford, Maine nearly two years ago with Fox taking the win via first-round technical knockout (WHO).

 

Dustin Veinott, a striking coach at Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) a Auburn, Maine, got off to a slow start in his MMA career, losing his first three bouts in the NEF cage. Not one to give up due to a setback, Veinott came roaring back and is currently on a three-fight win streak. Infatti, he has defeated all three of his most recent opponents in the first round, two by submission and one by TKO. Veinott was considering retiring from the cage after his most recent victory over Dave Brown (1-3), but decided against it when the chance to fight for the flyweight title was presented. Regardless of the outcome this time around, Veinott predicts an exciting contest against Fox.

 

“This is going to be a very entertaining fight,” said Veinott of the rematch. “Don’t blink though because this fight will not go the distance – either Norman or myself will be finished during the fight. So expect a high-action fight between two guys that are at the top of their game right now.”

 

Norman Fox is undefeated in the NEF cage. The only loss of his career to date came on a fight card in Plymouth, Massachusetts on which Fox was competing for a regional title. He is currently a member of Ryan Cowette’s (2-2) MMA Athletix gym, as well as Cowette’s Victory Church ministry. Fox realizes that he and Veinott are not the same fighters who stepped into the cage for the first time on that balmy night in the summer of 2013.

 

“Normally I don’t like rematches, but Dustin and I have grown as fighters so anything can happen,” said Fox when reached for comment. “Once they lock the cage door, it’s all in God’s hands.”

Lewiston, Maine (Aprile 10, 2015) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), Numero uno di promozione lotta regionale dell'America, held weigh-ins for its seventeenth mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF XVII,” earlier today at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Lewiston, Maine. Lewiston, Maine (Marzo 24, 2015) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), Numero uno di promozione lotta regionale dell'America, torna al Androscoggin Bank Colisee a Lewiston, Maine su Aprile 11, 2015 con i suoi XVII-arti marziali miste (MMA) evento. NEF ha rilasciato la carta piena lotta per l'evento della scorsa settimana. Proprio oggi, la società ha annunciato l'aggiunta di un incontro catchweight dilettante alla carta di lotta. CJ Ewer (3-1) dovrà affrontare Connor “Solo Knuckle” Barry (4-1) con un peso lotta di 165 libbre.

 

Brocca, un membro del MMA di Young in Bangor, Maine, ha preso i ranghi amatoriale NEF MMA dalla tempesta nell'estate del 2013. Lewiston, Maine (Marzo 18, 2015) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), Numero uno di promozione lotta regionale dell'America, torna al Androscoggin Bank Colisée a Lewiston, Maine su Aprile 11, 2015 con i suoi XVII-arti marziali miste (MMA) evento. Proprio oggi, la società ha annunciato la scheda completa lotta per l'evento. La scheda è prevista per caratterizzare una serie completa di entrambi i periodi professionisti e dilettanti. Dirigenti NEF riferiscono che reazione dei fan ai matchups già annunciate è stata assolutamente positiva.

 

“Non riesco a ricordare con questo tipo di risposta ad una carta di lotta prima,” detto NEF co-proprietario e promotore Nick DiSalvo. “C'è stata tanta eccitazione per ogni lotta che abbiamo annunciato. Abbiamo venduto di tutti i biglietti gabbia-lato quattro settimane prima della manifestazione, e l'ammissione generale sono molto vicino ad essere andata. Non abbiamo mai visto che accada così presto prima. Si dice davvero qualcosa circa la qualità del prodotto che stiamo mettendo su qui a Lewiston. Non c'è dubbio NEF è il biglietto più caldo in città.”

 

Nel main event della serata, Bruce “Pretty Boy” Boyington(10-7) difende il titolo Lightweight NEF MMA contro number-one contender Jamie Harrison (5-1). L'incontro è stato fatto nelle ore successive “NEF XV” lo scorso novembre, quando Boyington difeso con successo il titolo contro Jesse Erickson (3-4) e Harrison malmenato Tollison Lewis (0-4) il suo modo di una vittoria rapida presentazione. La lotta sarà seconda difesa del Boyington del titolo da quando ha vinto lo scorso settembre.

Il Aprile 11 lotta, che si terrà in un catchweight di 150 libbre, determinerà un vincitore definitivo nella rivalità.

 

Kaline “La Dark Angel” Medeiros (3-4) e imbattuto Calie “The Honey Badger” Coltellinaio (3-0) passerà alla storia quando contestano le prime donne professionali lotta MMA su una carta regionale in Maine. Non sarà la prima volta Medeiros è stata una parte della storia. Ha gareggiato in lotta le prime donne in Rhode Island, due anni fa.

La parte dilettante della card sarà in evidenza da “Assonnato” Norman Fox (3-1) e “Centro” Dave Brown (1-2) in un concorso peso mosca. Fox è imbattuto in Maine terreno ed e 'attualmente il numero tre classificati dilettante pesi mosca nel Nord-Est. Brown lottò per Plymouth State University dove è stato un vincitore per quattro volte All-New England.

Compagno di squadra di Dexter Jeremy Tyler (4-3) piazze off con Alex Johnson (1-1) di Ruthless MMA & Boxe in un incontro piuma. E la moglie di Bruce Boyington, Randi Beth Knowles (0-0), si incontreranno Walker (0-0) in un doppio debutto strawweight lotta.
