Junior Welterweight Power Puncher Shoh Ergashev Returns to Action on August 19

Uzbekistan-born junior welterweight sensation Shohjahon “Shoh” Ergashev will return to action on Sunday, Agosto 19, at the Korston Club Hotel Moscow, em Moscou, Rússia. The fearsome punching southpaw Ergashev (12-0, 11 KOs) will face Kampala, Uganda’s Juma Waswa (10-2-1, KOs) no evento de 10 ronda principal.

“I am happy to be fighting in Moscow in front of my fans from Russia and Uzbekistan. My goal is to score exciting knockouts and that’s what I plan on doing August 19.”

 

 

 

“Shoh is one of the hardest punchers in boxing,” said Ergashev’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita. “I believe he has all the ingredients to be a dominant force and one of the most exciting fighters in the sport. Usyk (14-0, 11 KOs) de Kiev, Ukraine is WBC and WBO world cruiserweight champion.

O 2012 Olympic Gold Medal winner won the WBO world title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Krzysztof Glowacki on September 17, 2016 in Poland. Usyk defended the title twice with a 9th round stoppage over Thabiso Mchunu and a 12-round unanimous decision over Michael Hunter.

 

 

 

Usyk scored a 10th round stoppage over former world champion Marco Huck. In his latest bout, Usyk captured the WBC World Cruiserweight title with a majority decision over Mairis Briedis on January 27th in Latvia.

 

 

 

Gassiev (26-0, 19 KOs) da Rússia, is the IBF and WBA Super Cruiserweight champion.

Gassiev now trains in Big Bear, California under famed trainer Abel Sanchez. The 24-year-old Gassiev won IBF championship on December 3, 2016 with a 12-round unanimous decision over Denis Lebedev.

MOSCOU (Novembro 11, 2017) — M-1 Challenger lightweight champion Damir Ismagulov derrotado Rogerio Karranca in a non-title, Super Fight last night in the M-1 Desafio 85evento principal, at the Ice Palace in Moscow.
In another true international MMA event, 10 different countries were represented by the 24 lutadores: Rússia, EUA, Brasil, Georgia, Alemanha, Cazaquistão, Ucrânia, Croácia, Switzerland and Spain.
Ismagulov (13-2-0, 8-1-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Kazakhstan, needed all five rounds to take a decision over his Brazilian opponent, M-1 Global pro-debuting Karranca (13-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0).
No evento co-featured, Pluma americana Nate “O trem” Landwehr (10-2-0, M-1: 2-0-0) took a three-round decision from always tough Viktor Kolesnik (11-3-1, M-1: 2-1-1), da Rússia.

Russian middleweight used a rear-naked choke for a second-round submission win against Croatian Kristijan Prata (9-4-2, M-1: 0-3-2) e peso galo russo Sergey Klyuev(5-0-0, M-1: 3-0-0) remained unbeaten using an arm-bar for a first-round victory by way of an opening round submission of previously unbeaten Spaniard Oscar Suarez (3-1-1, M-1: 0-1-0).
Georgian flyweight Vazha Tsiptauri (3-1-0, M-1: 1-0-0) employed a Guillotine Choke for a third-round win by submission over his Swiss opponent, Frederico Gutzwiller (3-3-0, M-1: 1-1-0), enquanto Maxim yakobyuk (2-0-0, M-1: 1-0-0) forçado Victor “Tatra” Trushov (2-1-0) into a second-round submission in a battle of Russian heavyweights.

Top Russian heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov Commits to fighting on M-1 Challenge 80 card June 15 na China

MOSCOU (Março 27, 2017) – Peso pesado russo Sergei “O Pára-quedista” Kharitonov has committed to fighting Junho 15 no M-1 Desafio 80 card in Harbin, China. Kharitonov will square-off against veteran Brazilian MMA fighter Marcus Viniciuds “Montanha” Lopes no evento principal.
Kharitonov (23-6-0, M-1: 3-0-0) is undefeated in three M-1 Challenge events having defeated former M-1 Challenge heavyweight champion Kenny “Diabo” Celeiro duas vezes, at M-1 Desafio 59 em 2015 at Kazakhstan (WKO/TKO4 – socos) e M-1 Desafio 43 em 2013 at China, (KO/TKO3 – ferimentos), e para Finanças Alexei em M-1 Desafio 53 em 2014 Rússia (KO2).
Kharitonov, who has also fought in Strikeforce and PRIDE, has defeated some of the greatest heavyweight MMA fighters of all-time, Incluindo Allistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum e Pedro Rizzo.
Lopes (15-0-0, M-1: 2-1-0) derrotado Evgeni Myakinkin by three-round unanimous decision this past February at M-1 Desafio 74. Lopes won a three-round unanimous decision over kurban Ibragimov in his M-1 debut last July. His lone M-1 loss came at M-1 Desafio 71 this past October to former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion Stephen Puetz, who used a choke hold for a third-round submission victory.
A pressure fighter and solid striker, Lopes is a jiu-jitsu champion in his native Brazil, where most of his MMA fights have been held during his 6 1/2-years professional career.
In a recent interview with M-1 Global News, Kharitonov said, “I received a lot of offers but I prefer to fight in M-1 Global.” Below is the complete Q & A with Kharitonov:
Do you know who your opponent will be at M-1 Challenge and, se não, what are your expectations?
SK: “I don’t not know anything yet. I received an offer from M-1 to fight in China. Since I have been talking with (Presidente M-1 Global) Vadim Finkelchtein for a long time and understand each other, I gave my consent Vadim said I am popular in China and that he wanted me to represent Russia in this tournament. At this moment, I have no thoughts or assumptions about this fight because I’m focused on my upcoming Bellator fight. This is my main objective right now and after that fight I will think about the M-1 fight.”
Bellator did not give permission for a fight last December in Russia. What changed this time and was it difficult to get permission to fight again in M-1?
SK: “There were no problems. I do not want to comment on how we came to an agreement, bit one thing is for sure, I’ve received permission and after my next Bellator fight I will fight at M-1 Challenge 80 in China.”
You fought in China at M-1 Challenge 53. How do you like the local audience there and what are your overall impressions of the tournament?
SK: “Everything was fine. I liked the level of organization, fãs’ attitude toward the athletes, and the response from the public. I think M-1 has good experience in terms of holding tournaments in China, so this time they can make it an even bigger show.”
Do you accept offers to fight from other Russian organizations and why did you decided to fight in M-1?
SK: “Sim, I received a lot of offers, especially recently. I won’t say specifically but they were from major Russian MMA organizations. But I have a long relationship with M-1 and me and Vadim know each other well. We get along well and trust each other. Portanto, O prefer to fight in M-1 Global.”

Kunchenko (15-0-0, M-1: 7-0), lutando fora de Tyumen, Rússia, used his tremendous Muay Thai skills to capture the coveted M-1 Challenge welterweight title belt last April at M-1 Desafio 65, when defending titlist Murad Abdulaev aposentado durante a quarta rodada.
