World amateur champion Mohammad Rabii Wins pro debut & becomes first-time father within hours

CASABLANCA, Maroc (Mars 14, 2017) – Last Saturday night in the Czech Republic, 2016 médaillé de bronze olympique Mohamed Rabii experienced a rare “double” as he successfully turned pro and a few hours later became a father for the first time.

“Every time I connected on Kovacs, I could see that it was affecting him. I knew it was all over because I hit him with a big punch that me and my coach, Donald Leary, had worked on in training camp. I cannot wait for my next fight in April.”
Rabii’s son (unnamed at this writing) fait pencher la balance à 10 livres, 3 ounces. He and his mother are both in good health.
Rabii was one of the leading pro prospects coming of the Olympic Games in Brazil. He had dropped a highly-disputed decision (0-3) in the semifinals to Uzbekistan boxer Shakhram Giyasov, l'éventuel médaillé d'argent. “Mohammad learned during his warm-up for the fight that his wife was in labor and close to delivering his first child. He had other things to take care of before concentrating on his family affairs, wasting no time as he annihilated Kovacs until dropping his Hungarian opponent hard near the end of the opening round. Czech spectators gasped as Rabii’s thunderous punches connected. Kovacs somehow got to his feet to beat the count but he was visibly shaken and the referee wisely stopped the fight. Rabii had no time to celebrate, bien que, as he rushed to contact his family back in Morocco, happily learning his wife had given birth to the couple’s baby boy at 7 a.m. Dimanche morning.”

CASABLANCA, Maroc (Février 2, 2017) – Ancien champion du monde des cruiserweight par intérim Youri “El Toro” Kalenga fournira un soutien principal Février 18 pour la sensation pro-débutante de la boxe amateur marocaine Mohamed Rabii sur “Bataille de Casablanca” carte, présenté par Nowhere2Hyde, at Complexe de Sportif Mohammed V Arena in Casablanca, Maroc.
Kalenga (22-3, 15 KOs), combats hors de France via le Congo, est actuellement classé Non. 12 par l'Association mondiale de boxe (WBA) et n. 16 par le World Boxing Council (WBC). L'artiste éliminatoire s'attaque Garrett “L'Ultimate Warrior” Wilson (17-11-1, 9 KOs), de Philadelphie, qui est une ancienne association de boxe des États-Unis (USBA) et Fédération nord-américaine de boxe (NABF) champion.
En 2014, Kalenga a remporté le titre WBA intérimaire avec une décision partagée en 12 rounds sur 32-1 Mateusz Masternak à Monaco, suivi d'une défense de titre réussie au Canada contre 12-0 Denton Daley au moyen d'un 12e KO technique rond.
Kalenga n'a jamais été dans un combat ennuyeux. Deux de ses trois défaites en carrière ont été contre l'actuel champion WBA Super cruiserweight Denis Lebedev (26-2), que Kalenga a lâché au quatrième tour, par une décision unanime en 12 tours en Russie, et en juin dernier, il a été arrêté pour la première fois de sa carrière professionnelle de sept ans par 20-0 yunier Dorticos à Paris pour le bracelet Interim WBA.
Le Rabii de 23 ans vaincu 2016 Médaillé d'or olympique daniyar yeleussinov dans la finale du championnat de la division poids welters de la 2015 Championnats du monde amateur de l'AIBA pour remporter une médaille d'or pour son Maroc natal. Rabii a remporté une médaille de bronze au 2016 Jeux Olympiques au Brésil, abandonner une décision très contestée (0-3) en demi-finale au boxeur ouzbek Shakhram Giyasov, l'éventuel médaillé d'argent.
L'ultra charismatique Rabii a atteint “rock star” statut au Maroc, témoignage par une moyenne de 6 millions de Marocains visionnant chacun des matchs olympiques du rabbin sur Arryadia Television. “Nous sommes très heureux de travailler avec nos partenaires de télévision, Arryadie, sur notre février 18e spectacle comme le premier des cinq spectacles dans 2017 avec Mohammed Rabii,” organisateur Gary Hyde dit. “Rabii a toute la nation marocaine derrière lui et il se battra pour les honneurs des meilleurs poids welters en un rien de temps.”
Rabii affrontera le boxeur hongrois vétéran Adam “Mauvais garçon” Camarade (24-10, 17 KOs) dans l'événement principal de six rondes.
Également en action sur “Bataille de Casablanca” sera l'ancienne association mondiale de boxe (WBA) et Organisation internationale de boxe (IBO) champion du monde poids plume, Simpiwe Vetyeka (29-3, 17 KOs), qui est classé au monde Non. 4 par la WBA, Ne Pas. 6 par The Ring magazine, et n. 7 par le WBC. Le talentueux sud-africain affronte un espoir hongrois invaincu David Nerna (8-0, 8 KOs) dans un combat de 10 rounds.
Pays-Bas poids moyen léger Gevorg Khatchikian (24-2, 12 KOs) sera également en action contre les ougandais Avec “Kabona” Sebyala (16-8-1. 13 KOs) dans un autre 10 rounds. Khatchikien, qui se battra en tant que 154 livres pour la première fois en tant que professionnel, n'a perdu que deux fois en tant que pro, à la fois pour présenter les champions du monde des super-moyens, James Degale (IBF) et Gilberto Ramirez (WBO).
Hyde gère Rabii, Kalanga et Vetyeka.
