LOS ANGELES – June 17, 2021 – BELLATOR MMA’s Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Patricio Pitbull (32-4) and undefeated top-ranked challenger AJ McKee (17-0) previewed their must-watch Featherweight World Grand Prix Final and 145-pound title fight during a virtual press conference Wednesday. I think this is the perfect matchup for the finals. We have a young, up-and-coming, undefeated fighter and the pound-for-pound best fighter on the planet, Patricio Pitbull. “I lived a different life, one where it wasn’t all good. I was dealing with a lot of stuff that a lot of African American men deal with. No mother and no father, growing up in the streets of Los Angeles. It was what it was, but I made the right decisions and never got caught for anything that I did that could have put me away for the rest of my life and found my drive and motivation through my son. The things that AJ would say as a kid, like ‘Daddy if you die, can I die with you?’ I didn’t care about living and I didn’t have a problem with killing either. And then one day AJ says ‘Dad, whatever you do and wherever you go, I want to come with you.’ I was ready to clock out, but then I realized that I needed to be here for him. He had nothing but me, so that gave me the drive and the strength to find a better way out.

“I made it this far, did my thing as a wrestler and was the best in the world. I did what I was doing, but I didn’t have the right mindset, so I had to check my mental and learn how to be a respectable human being. Once I did that, things started to shift for me and now here we are. I did things to keep AJ in private school, not to buy cars, Musik, and jewelry. I did it all to pay for his school tuition.” (14:36)

What began with 16 featherweight athletes vying for a one-million-dollar grand prize and the BELLATOR Featherweight World Championship has been narrowed to the greatest BELLATOR athlete in the history of the promotionPatricio Pitbull (32-4) and the company’s best-ever homegrown fighter in No. 1 PlatzAJ McKee (17-0).

The culmination of the BELLATOR Featherweight World Grand Prix takes place Saturday, Juli 31 The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and marks the company’s first domestic event hosted away from “The Fightsphere” since February 2020.

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Milford, New Hampshire (Juni 9, 2021) - New England Fights (NEF) kehrt mit seiner nächsten Veranstaltung zurück, "NEF 44: Zurück in Schwarz," Im August 21, 2021 im Hampshire Dome in Milford, New Hampshire. Brandon Maillet-Fevens ist eine der großen Comeback-Geschichten der NEF-Geschichte. Nachdem er sein Amateurdebüt bei „NEF 36“ im November verloren hatte 2018, Maillet-Fevens hatte eine Siegesserie mit drei Kämpfen, alle drei seiner Gegner in diesen Kämpfen zu beenden. In seinem jüngsten Ausflug vor der Pandemie, Maillet-Fevens besiegt Tyler Knights (0-1) über die Zweitrunden-Einreichung bei „NEF 41“ im November 2019. Maillet-Fevens vertritt das brasilianische Jiu-Jitsu in Zentral-Maine (CMBJJ) mit Sitz in Lewiston, MICH.

„Es waren lange anderthalb Jahre, aber wir haben nie aufgehört zu arbeiten, hat nie aufgehört, unsere Fähigkeiten zu perfektionieren, weil wir wussten, dass dieser Tag kommen würde,“ erklärte Maillet-Fevens.  „Ich denke, das ist ein sehr spannendes Matchup. TAMPA, Fla. (Juni 8, 2021) – Vereinigte Kampfallianz (UFA) hat angekündigt, in die Türkei zurückzukehren, um die Juni 17th MMA World Mix Fight Weltklasse-Event, mit professionellem Mixed-Martial-Arts und Kickboxen, bei Illusion in Antalya, Truthahn.

UFA-ChefJordan „Jay“ Adams wird die ganze Aktion von Cageside aus aufrufen, live im Fernsehen 8.5 in der Türkei, und live aufgezeichnet, um im Juli versuchsweise im UFA-Netzwerk in den Vereinigten Staaten ausgestrahlt zu werden.

„Wir freuen uns sehr über die Zusammenarbeit mit der türkischen MMA World Mix Fight Organization,“ sagte Adams. „Sie haben lange darauf gewartet, diese Show zu produzieren. "Es fiel mir schwer, im Boxen gute Kämpfe zu bekommen, die ich wollte",“, erklärte Serrano, "so, Ich habe meinen Trainer/Manager gefragt Jordan (Maldonado) fing an über MMA zu sprechen. Es gibt eine Menge Dinge, die ich noch lernen muss. Ich bin so ziemlich ein Workaholic und ein schlechter Verlierer, so, wenn ich mich damit befasse, Ich will alles! Ich würde gerne eines Tages um den Weltmeistertitel kämpfen (in MMA) und gleichzeitig Meister in beiden Sportarten werden. Ich habe das Zeug dazu, wenn es jemand tut. Ich möchte die Erzählung als Stürmer ändern und im MMA für mein Bodenspiel bekannt sein.“

NEF TO DEBUT IN NEW HAMPSHIRE; WELTERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT ANNOUNCED

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Milford, New Hampshire (Juni 7, 2021) - New England Fights (NEF) announced today that the fight promotion will return with its next event, "NEF 44: Zurück in Schwarz," Im August 21, 2021.  The show will originate from the Hampshire Dome in Milford, New Hampshire and will feature a mix of both mixed-martial-arts (MMA) and kickboxing fights. It will be NEF’s long-awaited debut in the Granite State, and it will also be the promotion’s first event since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring of 2020.

NEF’s previously-scheduled event, “NEF 43: Randale,” which was postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic, is still awaiting a rescheduled date at the Collins Center for the Arts at UMaine Orono. NEF executives hope that date will be sometime later in the fall, but at press time they were still waiting on a decision from the Combat Sports Authority of Maine on re-opening the regulation of MMA and boxing events in the state without restrictions.

“Fighters and fans have waited long enough,” declared NEF promoter and co-owner Nick DiSalvo. “With Maine not fully open for combat sports events yet, the Hampshire Dome and the New Hampshire Boxing Commission presented the perfect opportunity to get fighters back in the cage and active again before summer was over.”

NEF further announced today the first fight confirmed for the “NEF 44” card in Milford would be an amateur welterweight title contest. Duncan “The Highlander” Smith (5-3), who has held the promotion’s 170-pound championship since June 2018, is scheduled to defend against number-one-contender Mike “All Class” Bezanson (5-0).

“Coming out of COVID we’re going to find out who really wants it and is serious about accelerating in the sport,", Sagte NEF Miteigentümer und Heiratsvermittler Matt Peterson. “Who was working during quarantine, grinding away in their basements and garages and backyards and getting better while the world was shut down? Reigning champion Duncan Smith is a perfect 3-0 in the NEF cage. His last defense of the title was at “NEF 38” in April 2019 when he defeated John Tefft (2-1) via unanimous decision. Smith represents Evolution Athletix based in Saco, Maine.

“I’ve never felt more complete and confident in all aspects of living,", Sagte Smith. “I am extremely excited to showcase my skills against a game opponent before I enter the pro ranks. A lot can change in two years.”

Undefeated Mike Bezanson is regarded by many as one of the most exciting competitors on the entire New England scene. He is known for his flashy striking style and explosive finishes. Bezanson represents Team Kaze of Lancaster, New Hampshire.

“I’ve been sitting like a caged lion this last year because of COVID,” stated Bezanson when reached for comment. “Waiting eagerly for everything to open up just like everyone else. I’m very excited to be able to get back in there to perform for everyone!  I can assure you this will be the same game plan as all my previous fights. I’m going in there for two reasons, to knock out whoever is in front of me and walk out with a belt over my shoulder.”

“With everything opening up and restrictions being lifted, there is a lot to get excited about,” said Bezanson’s coach and Kaze Dojo owner Greg Williams. “That being said, nothing excites me more than seeing Mike Bezanson bringing his unique brand of violence back to the NEF cage! He is a rare talent and I believe he will eventually realize himself on the highest level. Another amateur belt is just icing on the cake. We all look forward to seeing New England’s best amateur 170 prospect and how he has evolved in the past year!"
