HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (Januar 27, 2017) – A lightweight feature bout pitting Josh Thomson (22-8, 1 NC) gegen Patricky “Pitbull” (16-8) will serve as the co-main event of Bellator 172 bei SAP-Center in San Jose, Calif. vom Feb. 18.

The contest joins a stacked main card that includes a pair of heavyweight competitors featuring Fedor Emelianenko (36-4, 1 NC) gegen Matt Mitrione(11-5) in the main event and Cheick Kongo (25-10-2) gegen Oli Thompson (17-9) in main card action. Njokuani took place this evening in front of a rowdy crowd just outside the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas. The competitors are now ready for action morgen, with the event airing LIVE on SPIKE at 9 p.m. UND/8 p.m. CT.

The event is headlined by a 180 Pfund. catchweight main event featuring Melvin Guillard (32-16-2, 3 NC) und Chidi Njokuani (16-4, 1 NC). Quintana will attempt to bounce back from his only loss in nearly five years – a first round (2:10) DIE (body kick and punches) at the hands of Adrian Diaz, auf Mai 19.

Erick Gonzalez vs.. Danny Ramirez

Die 5-Fuß-10, 25-year-old Gonzalez of Torrance, Calif. will risk a three-fight win streak, including two consecutive victories under the promotion of Combate Americas.

New York, NY, Januar 24, 2017 - 1.85 million viewers tuned in for the final fight in Tito Ortiz’s storied career, a first round submission victory over Chael Sonnen. This marks the most watched Bellator fight on Spike since last February and the most watched MMA fight on television in 2017.
*these are preliminary numbers as the more accurate viewership total factoring in DVR +3 will be released Donnerstag.
In der Ko-Funktion, 1.7 million viewers witnessed Paul Daley’s devastating flying knee KO over Brennan Ward.
Insgesamt, Bellator 170 delivered 1.4 Millionen Zuschauer – making it the 3rd most watched card in the franchise’s history. The 3-hour Spike telecast was also ranked #1 in cable with Men 18-49 in the timeslot.

(Januar 24, 2017) – Bellator & BAMMA combine forces once more to bring Belfast a show of Titanic proportions as they present their second co-promoted event on Friday February 24th 2017 from the SSE Arena, Belfast. With huge main events and supporting undercards, it will be a historic and groundbreaking night to remember for MMA fans of Belfast and around the world.

Bellator 173: McGeary vs. Felder

Hailing from Andover, England, the 34-year-old Liam McGeary (11-1) will make the short trek up to Northern Ireland’s capital for the first time in his career, where he will once again compete in a main event. The former Bellator MMA light heavyweight champion will enter the cage for the 10thtime under the Scott Coker-led promotion, where he has posted an 8-1 record with seven finishes. Following an 11-fight winning streak to begin his professional career, McGeary finally experienced the sour taste of defeat, wann Phil Davis wrestled the title away from him at Bellator 163. McGeary has consistently proven to be one of the most dangerous strikers and submission artists in the 205-pound division, finishing his victim in 10 von 11 Karriere gewinnt, including eight in the opening frame. Much like the “RMS Titanic,” which was built in Belfast, McGeary hopes to sink Fields when the two take center stage inside The SSE Arena on Februar 24.

 

A native of Dublin, Irland, Chris Fields (11-7-1) will also have a short trek to Belfast when he enters the cage on Februar 24. “The Housewives’ Choice” will be making his Bellator MMA debut, following nine years under the direction of local promotions, including three appearances under European powerhouse BAMMA. After competing at middleweight in 2015, the 33-year-old Fields returned to the light heavyweight division, recording a first round submission victory over Dan Konecke at BAMMA 24. Fields has tallied finishes in each of his 11 Karriere gewinnt, making him one of the most menacing opponents for anyone standing in his way. Now the SBG Ireland product will look to make a splash in his first fight with Bellator MMA, as he prepares for the former division kingpin.

 

Hailing from nearby Straban, Irland, der 20-Jährige James Gallagher (5-0) is one of the brightest stars in all “The Emerald Island.” At age 15, “The Strabanimal” moved away from home to join Coach John Kavanagh at Straight Blast Gym (SBG), where he now trains alongside the best fighters in the country including Connor McGregor. Having made his Bellator debut in London this past July in London, Gallagher followed up in December with a submission victory over Anthony Taylor in front of a raucous home crowd at the 3Arena in Dublin. Gallagher now takes on Kirill Medvedovsky (7-3) in the co-main event of the evening.

 

Another top prospect from the famed SBG powerhouse, Sinead Kavanagh (4-0) returns to the Bellator cage against 32-year-old Parisian Iona Razafiarison (1-1, 1 NC) in a 140-pound catchweight matchup “KO” Kavanagh, who fights out of nearby Dublin Ireland will no doubt be looking to collect her third knockout on Februar 24.

 

BAMMA 28: Parke Vs. Redmond

“Stormin” Norman Parke (22-5-1) from Bushmills, Antrim is no stranger to BAMMA events, as he has been spotted numerous times cornering team mates as part of the Next Gen Northern Ireland fight team. One of Europe’s most sought after free agents prior to putting pen to paper with BAMMA, Parke now goes in pursuit of the coveted BAMMA World Lightweight title.

Paul “Redser” Redmond (11-6) landed a victorious homecoming of his own at BAMMA 26, as Redser took out the double tough Chris “The Menace” Stringer to claim the adulation of his hometown support. Redmond now steps into one of the biggest fights ever announced in Ireland, as he takes on Parke in this hugely anticipated match up.

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (Jan. 20, 2017) –The official weigh-ins for Bellator 170: Ortiz vs. Sonnen took place Friday morning in front of a rowdy crowd inside the Sheraton Gateway hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. The competitors are now ready for action heute Abend at The Forum, with the event airing LIVE and FREE on SPIKE at 9 p.m. UND/8 p.m. CT.

The epic event is headlined by a legendary light heavyweight matchup pitting Tito Ortiz (18-12-1) gegen Chael Sonnen (28-14-1). The evening’s co-main event features a welterweight showdown pitting Paul Daley (38-14-2) gegen Brennan Ward (14-4), während Ralek gracie (3-0) und Hisaki Kato (7-2) square off in a middleweight bout on the main card of Bellator 170: Ortiz vs. Sonnen.

ST. PETERSBURG, Russland (Januar 19, 2017) – M-1 Global hat dies angekündigt 2016 M-1-Grand-Prix-Champion im Mittel Alexander “Sturm” Shlemenko Headliner M-1-Herausforderung 75 in Moskau.
Es wurde auch angekündigt, dass amerikanische Leichtgewichtler Keon “The Black Assassins” Caldwell wird sein M-1 Global-Debüt gegen den ehemaligen M-1 Challenge-Leichtgewichts-Champion geben Maxim Divnich.
M-1-Herausforderung 75 wird live aus Moskau in High Definition auf gestreamt werden www.M1Global.TV. Shlemenko (54-9-0. 1 NC, M-1: 4-0-0), ein dreimaliger Bellator-Champion, besiegte ehemaligen M-1 Challenge-Champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (siehe Bild oben mit Shlemenko rechts) im vergangenen Jahr in dem M-1 Grand Prix Mittelgewicht Championship Halbfinale und Endspiel, beziehungsweise, durch drei Runde Mehrheitsentscheidung und dritte Runde Einreichung (Choke). Shlemenko vs. Vasilevsky I & II waren die M-1 Challenge 68 & 64 Fights der Nacht.
In einem mit Spannung erwarteten allrussischen Showdown im Mittelgewicht, Shlemenko sollte gegen den amtierenden M-1 Challenge-Mittelgewichts-Champion kämpfen Ramadan Emeev, der im Trainingslager leider verletzt wurde, ihn aus diesem Match zu zwingen. Vasilevsky ersetzte Emeev im Meisterschaftsfinale gegen Shlemenko.
In seiner letzten Aktion, Shlemenko blieb stehen Kendall Grove in der zweiten Runde ihres Main Events kämpfen sie weiter Bellator 162 letzten Oktober in Memphis, Tennessee.

Russische Weltergewicht Aussicht Sergey “Straßenkämpfer” Romanov (10-1-0, M-1: 3-0-0) steht russischen Veteranen gegenüber Magomed “The White Wolf” Sultanakhmedov (18-5-0, M-1: 10-1-0) am M-1-Herausforderung 75 Karte.
Caldwell (11-3-0, M-1: 0-0-0), aus Georgien heraus kämpfen, ist der in den USA ansässige Island Fights-Champion. Ein mächtiger Puncher, der neun Knockouts in seinem hat 11 pro Sieg, Caldwell sollte an der teilnehmen 13th Jahreszeit von The Ultimate Fighter, aber er zog sich aus persönlichen Gründen zurück. Er hat mehrere Kämpfe in der World Series of Fighting gehabt.
Ein Ukrainer, der aus Moskau kämpft, Divnich gewann den vakanten M-1 Challenge-Leichtgewichtstitel in 2014 bei M-1-Herausforderung 54, Einstellung Dzhambulat Kurbanov in der dritten Runde auf Schläge im Kampf der Nacht. In 2015, Divnich verlor seine erste Titelverteidigung durch Ko in der dritten Runde Mansour Barnaoui bei M-1-Herausforderung 57. In seinem letzten Kampf, Artiom Damkovsky schlug Divnich mit einem Tritt in der zweiten Runde ihres Kampfes im vergangenen September um M-1-Herausforderung 70.
