Uncasville, Conn. Lulusan Universitas Brown, Sammartino yang sekarang berusia 80 tahun telah menikmati dua karir lain sebagai ahli bedah mulut dan penasihat investasi di Blue Fin di Providence, selain perannya sebagai juri tinju internasional sejak itu 1985.
“Saya pertama kali terjun ke tinju karena Joey Angelo menikah dengan sepupu saya,” Sammartino menjelaskan. “Dia melawan di awal empat puluhan. Joey melawan Willie Pep dua kali dan Sandy Saddler. Itulah yang membuat saya memulai. ACBHOF mission is to create visibility and awareness through annual inductions ceremonies; boxing champions, as well as the boxing community at-large will have their names enshrined into immortality by being inducted into the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame.

Pada Mei 27, the festivities continued into the Fight Fan Experience, a festive boxing themed environment that included a Boxing Fantasy Camp, Pop-Up Barber Shop, Jack Johnson Exhibit Icons of Boxing, The Legacy Exists Joe Frazier Scholarship Fund, James O’Neal Sculptures, The Press of Atlantic City Exhibit, Food vendors and music by DJ Young Hitta.

The evening of May 27th concluded with an Honoree Gala in the Art Gallery celebrating “Women in Boxing.” Host for the evening, Nino Del Buono. Honorees included: Cathy Burke, Marian Muhammad, Joan Pierce, Renee Aiken and Althea “Vern” Saunders.

The culminating Induction celebration concluded Sunday, May 28th with a little over 500 tamu. The master of ceremonies for the ceremony, President of NJ Boxing Hall of Fame, Henry Hascup. The star-studded Charter Class members included: Don King, Michael Spinks, Larry Hazzard, Steve Smoger, Mike Rossman, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Frank Gelb, Don Elbaum, J Russell Peltz, Dave Bontempo, Ken Condon, Robert Lee, Sr., Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson.

Another extraordinary highlight from the weekend was when Arturo Gatti’s 11-year old daughter Sofia Bella Gatti accepted her father’s award alongside his longtime friends Chuck Zito and Mike Sciarra.

Las Vegas (Bulan April 26, 2017) – 2 Waktu Juara Dunia Marcos Maidana has confirmed that he will appear to Meet & Greet his fans at the Pusat Konvensi Las Vegas for the 3rd edition of Box Fan Expo yang akan berlangsung Sabtu Mei 6, 2017 from 10am to 5pm, during Cinco De Mayo weekend. The Boxing Expo will also coincide with the mega fight between Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez jr, yang akan berlangsung malam itu.
Maidana will appear for the first time at this years’ Expo at the World Boxing Association “WBA” booth and will be signing gloves, photos and merchandise. Boxing fans will also have a great opportunity to take pictures with “Orang China” the Argentinean boxing star. Fans will also be greeted with surprises by Maidana and the WBA at this years’ Expo.
Maidana is an Argentine former professional boxer who competed from 2004 untuk 2014. As much as I hate to sell my most valuable piece of boxing memorabilia, I don’t have a man cave or game room to put this in, so this signed Mike Tyson glove is on the market. This comes with an official certificate of authenticity and was signed about 8 years ago in Las Vegas. The glove itself is a Muhammad Ali Signature Series glove with Ali’s signature printed on it at the factory. I am asking $500 and will ship it to you anywhere in the US for an additional $10.
