Fighting for the first time as a professional in the United States, the 24-year-old Bornea (15-0, 1o KOs) went into the fight rated No. 10 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) och nr. 15 av World Boxing Association (WBA).  He is a former IBF World Youth and World Boxing Oriental Youth super flyweight champion.

Last night on a show presented by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions, Bornea made a name for himself outside his native Philippines with an impressive victory against Delgadillo (11-1-2, 2 Kos), ett tidigare World Boxing Council (WBC) United States super flyweight titlist.

The 10-round main event was split into almost two different fights: Delgadillo effectively jabbed his way to take the early rounds, and he registered a somewhat questionable knockdown in the sixth round. Bornea successfully closed the distance after three rounds, sitting in the pocket and becoming more aggressive as the fight went on.

Bornea won a split decision (96-93 X 2 & 93-96) to become the new NABF super flyweight champion.

Washington super lightweightWilliam Hernandez-Gomez (4-0, 2 Kos) pitched a shutout againstAbdul Kamara (1-2),  winning all four rounds in convincing fashion.

In a rematch of a draw, Washington super lightweightMargarito Hernandez (1-0-1) won a unanimous 4-round decision over intra-state rivalJoshua Wheeler (0-1-1); Tacoma, WA featherweightJerrell Barbour (1-0) won his professional debut with a 4-rround unanimous decision overKendall Ward (0-6).

SAN FRANCISCO, SÅSOM (Oktober 22, 2017) – Last night at the historic San Francisco Armory, den “Tillbaka till Business” card took place with local fighters, Karim Mayfield, Raquel Miller and Xavier Martinez moving forward with victories.
Karim “Hard Hitta” Mayfield (20-4-1, 11 Kos), cruised to a 6-round unanimous decision over outmatched Miguel Dumas (10-0, 7 Kos), giving him his first defeat. Med segern, Mayfield captures he the WBU Welterweight Americas Belt. Scorecards read 60-54 två gånger, och 55-54.
Mellanvikt, Raquel “Pretty Beast” Miller (5-0, 3 Kos) remained undefeated with a 1stround knockout against Lisa Garland (15-9, 8 Kos). Time was 2:00 runda en.
Xavier Martinez (10-0, 5 Kos) stayed unbeaten winning by 2nd round knockout over Raymond Chacon (7-27-1) in a 6-round featherweight bout. Time was 2:59
Ricardo Pinell (15-3-1, 8 Kos) won a lopsided unanimous decision against Carlos Ruiz (8-4, 3 KO) in a 6-round middleweight bout. Score cards read 60-54 över hela linjen.

SAN FRANCISCO, SÅSOM (Oktober 11, 2017) – Unbeaten female middleweight prospect, Raquel “Pretty Beast” Miller (4-0, 2 Kos) kommer nu står inför Lisa Garland (15-8, 8 Kos)

I believe my hunger and skill will be to much for Garland to handle though. I’m ready to bring it, and I can’t wait for my hometown fans will see me in action. Rite Hook Promotions News and Notes

Oktober 10, 2017 (Biloxi, FRÖKEN) – Rite Hook Promotions has run a successful string of professional boxing shows in the Biloxi area, senast Juli 29 at the Climb Event Center in nearby Gulfport. Rite Hook CEO William Hunter opened doors for local fighters and multiple boxers signed under the Rite Hook Promotions banner through his fight cards along with various relationships he has with promoters across the US.
• Rite Hook Promotions’ Javonn “Pinkie” Barnes agreed to fight welterweight contender Karim Mayfield Oktober 21in his hometown of San Francisco, SÅSOM. The undefeated Barnes, who is from Atlanta, was in training camp preparing for the opportunity and Mayfield stirred the pot by trash talking on Barnes’ social media pages. To the surprise of Barnes and Hunter, a contact never came and Mayfield is instead fighting Miguel Dumas of Mexico.
Hunter believes that the 5’11 Barnes’ size was a concern for Mayfield. The last foe Mayfield, 5’7, faced 5’11 or taller was back in 2008. Although the Mayfield fight is off the table, Barnes will continue to receive world class sparring when he joins Regis Prograis’ training camp to help him prepare for his upcoming bout against Viktor Postol. Hunter is negotiating to get Barnes on the undercard.
• Mike “Concrete” Bissett came up short in his Augusti 25 challenge for the NABF heavyweight championship against hard-hitting Laron Mitchell. Bissett, a natural cruiserweight who has a reputation for taking on all comers, entered the fight with an injury and a 30-plus pound weight disadvantage. A throwback fighter, Bissett looks to get back on track in the near future.
• Hunter is partnering with a group headed by Florida Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Pete Fernandez to start a promotional firm called Fight Night Promotions. The company is hosting their first show Fredag, November 10 at the Bryan Glaser Family JCC in Tampa, FL. Like Hunter’s vision with Rite Hook, Fight Night Promotions will help build and promote local talent. Fighters currently scheduled to appear on the 10th include female sensation Jazmine Artiga, who Hunter believes is a superstar in the making, and Ivan Franco. More information on the card will be announced shortly.

The main-event bout will take place at the beautiful historic San Francisco Armory. On the line with be the WBU Welterweight Americas Belt.
Mayfield, who’s been out of the ring for over a year, is looking to get his career back on track with an impressive victory. The San Francisco native is thrilled to get back in the ring, especially in his hometown.
“I really wanted to bring boxing back to San Francisco in a classy manner,” Said Karim Mayfield. “The San Francisco Armory is a beautiful venue that holds 4,000 människor. We want to get the word out that this will be a friendly atmosphere where everyone of all walks of life can enjoy the fights.
