Miguel Barrionuevo faces Adrián Verón in Argentinean Welterweight ‘Fight of the Year’

To be held in Buenos Aires, Barrionuevo vs. Verón will be presented by Mario Margossian’s Argentina Boxing Promotions in association with Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing and televised live by TyC Sports in North, Central and South America, excluding Brazil and Canada.
WBC #11-rated Barrionuevo (32-3-2, 22 కోస్), from San Fernando del Valle, Catamarca, will be attempting to defend his national title for the second time since winning it last September.

The WBC Welterweight Tournament will continue on Saturday, జనవరి 30, when Azael “టర్బో” Cosio (20-3-2, 17 కోస్) of Santa Marta, పనామా, faces Cesar Miguel “El Zurdo” Barrionuevo (28-3-2, 19 కోస్) of Catamarca, అర్జెంటీనా.
The winner of this fight will face Pennsylvania’s Sammy “వీరు మెక్సికన్” Vasquez in the semi-final in late Spring.
Promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing and Reginaldo and Oswaldo Kuchle of Promociones del Pueblo, the 12-round Cosio vs. Barrionuevo showdown will be held at Hotel Ixtapa Azul, in Guerrero, మెక్సికో, and will be televised live on Mexico’s Televisa and TyC Sports of Argentina.
According to Lewkowicz, in the other leg of the tournament, new WBC Welterweight Champion Danny Garcia has been mandated to face Amir Khan. The winner of that fight will then face the winner of the Cosio/Barrionuevo vs. Vasquez semi-final fight.
