LAS VEGAS (Apríl 4, 2018) – Mexican bantamweight Tony Lopez, Jr. (13-3, 4 Kos) believes an impressive victory April 20th over his Roy Jones Jr., Boxing Promotions (RJJ) stablemate, unbeaten bantamweight prospect “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 Kos), will get him back in the mix.

 

Ornelas vs. Lopez, Jr., presented RJJ Boxing Promotions, will air live on beIN Sports, byrja á 10 p.m. OG / 7 p.m. PT, from Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada at Las Vegas campus.

A UNLV sophomore who lives in Las Vegas, the 19-year-old Ornelas is ranked by the World Boxing Association (WBA) at No. 14 í heiminum. “I’ve had several fights where my role was reversed, and I was fighting in my hometown in front of my fans, friends and family,” Dallas resident Lopez, Jr. spoke about fighting Ornelas on the road. “I wanted to put on a show and they were screaming like crazy before the opening bell. “Hann er (Max) a very clean fighter, by the books, not wanting to get into scrapes,” the 24-year-old Lopez spoke about his opponent. “He strides and moves, not looking to bang or exchange. He likes to fight on the outside, using his size and length. He’s fast but doesn’t have a lot of power. It’s hit and not get hit for him. He has a lot of holes and me being the more experienced fighter, I plan to expose some of those holes.

 

 

 

 

“Back in May of 2016, I fought and undefeated opponent, Jerren Cochran (11-0-1), and I knew it was an audition for Roy and RJJ. I came out in a full attack mode because I wanted to make a statement. ((Lopes knocked our Cochran in the second round.) I’m looking to make another statement this time around by fighting like I did earlier in my career.

 

 

 

 

“I’m faster, stronger and have better head movement than him. I’m still young but I have more life experience than him (Ornelas). The damage inflicted by Fox was evident as Garcia’s left eye began to swell midway through the fight. In round seven, with his eye nearly shut, Garcia ate a right hook that put him on the canvas.
Fox took the decision by scores of 78-73 tvisvar og 77-74 to further his perfect mark to 16-0. Garcia, 142.1 lbs of Dominican Republic dropped his 2nd straight fight, og er nú 14-2.
Former two-time world welterweight champion Kermit CINTRON og Marquis Taylor fought to a no-contest after an accidental headbutt caused a bad cut on the right eyelid of Cintron.

The bout was entertaining as the two landed good shots on each other. Bunting was cut over his right eye from a punch in round two. Mansfield was deducted a point in round four as his mouthpiece came out several times.
Mansfield ended the fight in round five when he landed a hard combination that had Bunting in trouble on the ropes. Several hard an unanswered punches later, the fight was stopped at 36 sekúndur.

Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland was born in Iraq, and has amassed a perfect mark of 7-0 með sex rothöggi.
Ferhadi has one of the unique stories in the sport as he spends about eight months out of the year as a medical student in Kurdastad, Írak.
The 22 year-old began fighting at age 14 and went 10-2 sem áhugamaður. He lost in an Olympic qualifying tournament.
He started coming to the United States, and his whole family still resides in Iraq.
This will be Ferhadi’s first fight in almost a year when he stopped Christopher Petty in three rounds on August 19m 2016 in Crystal City, Virginia.

Davis, also 26, fights out of Washington, D.C., and brings in a respectable record of 10-1 með fjórum rothöggi.
The six-year professional will be making his first start í 18 mánuðum. Davis, who has won six straight is coming off a four round unanimous decision over Justin Lopez on November 12, 2015.
