Feared striker Magomed Idrisov (7-0-0, M-1: 4-0-0), of Russia captured the M-1 Challenge bantamweight title by knocking out defending champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger (31-5-0, M-1: 6-1-0), fighting out of Slovakia, who rode a 10-fight win streak into M 1 sib tw 73, Idrisov put Buchinger to sleep with one devastating punch in the opening round for a shocking ending.
American bantamweight “The Punisher” Josh Rettinghouse (14-4-0, M-1: 2-0-0) knocked out his Kazakh opponent, Sergey Morozov (6-2-0, M-1: 3-2-0), in the first round.

PETERSBURG, Zog ntawm Guj kuj (November 9, 2016) – The already loaded M 1 sib tw 73: Battle of Narts card has been bolstered by the M-1 Global announcement that two American fighters, Lee “American Bulldog” Morrison thiab “The Finisher” Josh Rettinghouse, have been added to the 2016 season-ending event December 9th in Ingushetia, Zog ntawm Guj kuj.
A super showdown between M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramazan Emeev(14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) and KO artist specialist Anatoly Tokov (24-2-0, M-1: 9-1-0) will headline M 1 sib tw 73: Battle of Narts in a battle of elite Russian fighters.
Nyob hauv tus nqi feature, M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger (31-4-0, M-1: 6-0-0), fighting out of Slovakia, defends his title belt against undefeated Russian challenger Magomed Idrisov (5-0-0, M-1: 5-0-0).

Morrison (15-7-0, M-1: 2-4-0) and Rettinghouse (13-4-0, M-1: 1-0-0) are both fighting out of the state of Washington.
Morrison faces undefeated Russian prospect Moysar Evoloev (5-0-0, M-1: 5-0-0) in a fight contested at a 140-pounds (63.5 kilograms) catchweight. Morrison is a grappler (see photo below with him in top position) who defeated current M-1 Challenge bantamweight title-holder Pavel Vitruk by decision at M 1 sib tw 58.
Fighting at home in Ingushetia, Evloev is also a grappler who is coming off a first-round knockout of Alexander Krupenkin this past May at M 1 sib tw 66 (pictured below).
Rettinghouse, the King of the Cage champion, takes on Sergey Morozov (6-1-0, M-1: 3-1-0) in a bantamweight with future title implications for the winner.
A submission master who has a strong Brazilian Ju-Jitsu background, Rettinghouse is coming off his successful M-1 Global debut this past May at M 1 sib tw 66, in which Rettinghouse stopped Vadim Zhloboch in the opening round due to an injury.
Morozov, fighting out of Kazakhstan, is an outstanding striker and well-rounded MMA fighter. He was on the wrong end of the M 1 sib tw 68 Fight of the Night last July in a loss by decision to Rafael Dias.
At M 1 sib tw 59, Morozov (pictured below) was awarded the Knockout of the Night award for his demolishing of Andy Young a year ago July.
An impressive victory will position the Rettinghouse-Morozov winner for a potential M-1 Challenge bantamweight title fight with defending champion Vitruk.

PETERSBURG, Zog ntawm Guj kuj (November 2, 2016) – Tus 2016 M-1 Challenge season will be going out with a bang as M-1 Global has announced a second title fight, M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger versus undefeated challenger Magomed Idrisov, for the December 9th M 1 sib tw 73: Battle of Nartsin Ingushetia, Zog ntawm Guj kuj.
The previously announced main event is a super showdown between M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramazan Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) and knockout specialist Anatoly Tokov (24-2-0, M-1: 9-1-0).

Buchinger (31-4-0, M-1: 6-0-0), fighting out of Slovakia, is riding a 10-fight win streak into M 1 sib tw 73 since he lost to Conor McGregor nyob rau hauv 2012. He captured the vacant M-1 Challenge title October 17, 2014 tom M 1 sib tw 52, stopping Tural Ragimov (see picture below) in the fourth round on punches in their Fight of the Night. Buchinger made a successful title defense 13 months ago at M 1 sib tw 62, taking a 5-round unanimous decision over Mansour Korobkov. In his last fight, this past June against Mikhail Korobkov tom M 1 sib tw 67, Buchinger needed only 4:41 of the opening round to choke his opponent into a submission in their non-title fight.
Idrisov is a strong striker and Russian Whu-Shu Sanda champion. He knockout current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Alexander Butenko in his professional MMA debut, back in 2013 in a non-M-1 Global fight. His three M-1 Global victories have been against Yuri Maia (KO1 – punches) in the M 1 sib tw 49 Knockout of the Night, Max Coga (DEC3) thiab Sergej Grecicho (DEC3) in his last fight September 20, 2015 tom M 1 sib tw 51 (see picture below).

BAKU, Azerbaijan (Rau hli ntuj 5, 2016) — Ukrainian fighter Alexander Butenko won a hard fought 5-round decision over Artiom Damkovsky last night to become the new M-1 Challenge lightweight champion in the M 1 sib tw 67 main event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Butenko (41-11-2) and Damkovsky (20-10-0) battled from start to finish with Buntenko winning a unanimous decision to capture the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight title.
Nyob hauv tus nqi feature, M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger (31-4-0), of Slovakia, used a North-South choke to submit his late replacement opponent, Russian Mikhail Korobkov (9-2-0), in a non-title fight.
Red-hot Kazakh welterweight Shavat Rakhmonov (6-0-0) kept rolling, knocking out Brazilian Marcelo Brito (13-8-0) in the opening round. Hometown favorite Etigat Adakishniev (1-1-0) won his first professional fight, submitting Spaniard Adrian Perez (3-2-0) by way of a guillotine choke.
Czech Republic had two winners on the main card as middleweight Talekh Nadzhafadz (5-1-0) won a 3-round decision over his Spanish opponent, Felipe “Biggi” Nsue (11-10-0), while heavyweight Zauer Gadzhibabayev (5-1-0) used a rear naked choke to submit Bulgarian Lazar Todev (2-3-0).
Fighting on the preliminary card, Russian lightweight Zalimbeg Omarov (7-1-1) and Russian featherweight Azamat Zhantuduev (1-2-0) won a 3-round decisions over, respectively, Mikhail Syrbu (4-2-0), of Moldova, and his fellow countryman Bair Shtepin (3-1-0). Russian heavyweight Evgeni Myakinkin (14-5-0) forced Evgeni Guryanov (8-6-0) to submit with a triangle choke, and Russian featherweights Vadin “Bad Santa” Malygin (6-1-1) thiab Ibragim Navrusov (2-0-1) fought to a 3-round draw.

PETERSBURG, Zog ntawm Guj kuj (Rau hli ntuj 1, 2016) – A sudden illness has forced Magomed Idrisov to withdraw from his scheduled M-1 Challenge featherweight title fight hnub Saturday no (Rau hli ntuj 4) against defending champion Ivan “Buki” Buchinger tom M 1 sib tw 67: Battle in the Land of Fireat Baku, Azerbaijan.

Mikhail Korobkov (9-1-1, M-1: 0-1-1), of Russia, is the late replacement for Idrisov but, due to Korobkov coming off of a loss in his last fight (decision to Timur Nagibin last Friday atM 1 sib tw 66), his fight versus Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0) is a not for the title and it has been downgraded from main event to co-feature. Buchinger, fighting out of Slovakia, has won his last nine fights dating back four years.
The new main event matches Alexander “Iron Capture” Butenko (40-11-2, M-1: 7-1-0), of Ukraine, and BelarussianArtiom Damkovsky (20-9-0. M-1: 10-6-0) for the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight championship.
