SHENZHEN, Кина (Август 4, 2019) – Canadian mixed-martial arts fighter Chris Kelades became the M-1 Challenge Interim flyweight champion by taking a decision from Alexander Pletenko last night at WKG and M-1 Challenge 103 in Shenzhen, Кина.

M-1 Challenge “regular” flyweight championAlexander Doskalchuk was supposed to defend his title atМ-1 Цхалленге 103 against Kelades, међутим, the champ suffered an injury that forced Doskalchuk to withdraw.

Pletenko versus Kelades was a rematch of a fight back in June, 2018, in which Pletenko won a decision atМ-1 Цхалленге 93. Pletenko, међутим, came in overweight and he was ineligible to win the title.

NAZRAN, Ингушетија, Русија (Новембар 17, 2018) – The first and only M-1 Challenge flyweight champion, Aleksander Doskalchuk, made his second successful title defense last night in the М-1 Цхалленге 99, Главни догађај, when he decisioned his Finnish challenger, Mikael “Понтон” Silander, at Nazran in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia.

New M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Roman Bogatov

KAZAN, Русија (Септембар 29, 2018) – Undefeated Russian wrestling sensation Roman Bogatov captured the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight title last night, taking a unanimous decision over Rubenilton “Rubinho” Крушка, ин M Challenge 97 / Tatfight 7 Главни догађај, held in Kazan, Русија.

The judges were very busy as all five main event fights, plus three of five undercard matches, went the full distance on a card of evenly matched fights.

Competing fighters represented nine different countries: Русија, Бразил, Шпанија, Француска, Канада, Кина, Finland, Azerbaijan and Northern Ireland.

Pereira’s (20-6-0) superior BJJ techniques from bottom were nullified Bogatov when the fight went down to the mat. Pereira was adversely affected by Bogatov’s takedown attack, which opened-up strong punches to Pereira’s head, resulting in a flash knockdown in the third round. Pereira got back in the fight midway through round four, connecting with punches and knees to the body, but the Brazilian needed a strong fifth and final round to win a decision. Bogatov, међутим, remained aggressive, firing strikes and making take-downs, on his way to a unanimous five-found decision and the coveted M-1 Challenge lightweight title belt.

French lightweight Mickael “Ragnar” LebouТ (18-9-2) and always tough Russian Алексеј “Задатак” Махно battled tooth and nail in a bloody war (see pictures below). Lebout hit Makhno in the face with everything but the proverbial kitchen sink, but the Russian refused to go down and even landed a few solid shots on Lebout, who also has good “whiskers”. Lebout won an entertaining fight by way of a unanimous three-round decision.

Finnish lightweight Jani Salmi (9-6-0) scored his second M-1 victory, using a rear naked choke for an opening round win by submission over Ruslan Khisamutdinov (10-5-0), Русије. In a spirited match between Russian bantamweights, settled by a unanimous decision, Ivan Eremenko (8-2-0) was too much to handle for Nidzhat Imanov (4-4-1).

САНКТ-ПЕТЕРБУРГ, Русија (Септембар 4, 2018) — Undefeated M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Артем Фролов will make his UFC debut, stepping in on short notice to replace injured Omari Ashkedov against battle-tested C.B. “The Doberman” Dollaway, Септембар 15 на UFC Moscow card at Olympic Stadium in Moscow.

“I am very happy for Artem,” М-1 Глобал председник Вадим Финкелхтејн рекао, “but a little bit nervous because he accepted the fight on such a short notice, only two weeks before the fitht. I’m sure he will demonstrate his high level once again. I said it before that Artem is the second strongest middleweight in Russia, after Alexander Shlemenko, and he deserves this shot. Some may know that Artem was going to fight Bruno Blindado Silva, who defeated Shlemenko, and I’m happy to say that this fight will happen this fall.”

The 26-year-old Frolov (11-0-0, М-1: 8-0-0), fighting at home out of Russia, captured his M-1 Challenge title belt last October, when he won a unanimous decision against Caio Magalhaes at M-1 Challenge 84. This past June at M-1 Challenge 93, Frolov made his first title defense versus Joe Riggs, who suffered a knee injury that led to a doctor’s stoppage in the second round.

A solid all-around fighter, Frolov has won 5 fights by stoppage, along with four submission victories and two by decision.

Chris Kaledes (Р) is shooting for his second straight M-1 victory ово петак

Kelades made his successful M-1 Global debut last November at M-1 Challenge 86, when he defeated Oleg Lichkovakha by way of a third-round submission (Кимура).

It’s been more than a half- year since your M-1 Global debut. Why did you take such a long break?

CK: “It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. I was supposed to fight back in March, but I had problems getting my travel visa secured, so I was rebooked to fight in April but, нажалост, the event was canceled. Тако, I’ve been ready to fight, but circumstances have changed the dates. I’m excited for this fight and looking forward to fighting in Chelyabinsk. Two times my fights have been canceled and it was extremely frustrating, but it gave me more time to work on my game and learn new techniques.”

In your M-1 Global debut, you have been very cautious during the first two rounds, but in the third round you got a submission. Is it your real fighting style or did you just wanted to win the debut fight without taking risks?

What can you say about your next opponent, Alexander Pletenko? You have similar records. Does it mean you have similar fighting styles?

CK: “I’ve seen some of his fights and I don’t think we have similar styles. I’ve been fighting the best guys in the world and at a certain level it’s more difficult to finish fights.”

Before joining M-1 Global you had never fought anywhere except North America. What does it feel like to fight half a world away from your home?

CH: “I really enjoyed myself the last time in my debut with M-1 Global. The travel is a little bit of a hassle with the distance, but I really enjoy fighting internationally and here in Russia. I like fighting away because I enjoy having to prove myself to other fighters and the fans. То ме мотивише!”

) – The first Spanish Olympia deadlift champion will face one of the strongest Russian athletes May 24 на М-1 Цхалленге 92 in M-1 Arena in Saint Petersburg, Русија.

Fredy Gonzales, also known as “El Gigante,” is officially Spain’s strongest man. Born in Cuba, he always was a huge guy, so it’s no wonder that he chose football (фудбал) as his first sport to play. After playing that for a few years, Gonzales decided to start something new and he wisely chose powerlifting. It took him just a few years to win his first competition and very soon he started winning various huge events in deadlift and bench press, including the world championships.

Гонзалес’ first attempt to win Olympia was not successful, but he was close to capturing the title, finishing in second place. Next following year he became the Olympia champion.

With his winning results of 837 кг. (380 кг) in the dead-lift and 683 кг. (310 кг) in the bench press, Gonzales officially will become the strongest person who ever stepped in the M-1 Global Rage.

Maksim Baruzdin is the strongest man in Saint Petersburg, Русија.
