Lebrón and Vicente grab WBO Belts

Barranquilla, Kolombja – Puerto Rico’s featherweight Luis “Popeye” Lebrón (11-0-1, 5 Tal-KO) and WBO #13 ranked super bantamweight YenifelEl Rayo” Vicente (32-3-2, 24 Tal-KO) tar-Repubblika Dominikana, defeated their respective opponents in scheduled WBO Latino title bouts held at Hotel El Prado.

 

 

 

 

Lebrón won the title by unanimous decision (95-93, 95-93, 98-91) over Colombian Luis Ruiz (9-2, 9 Tal-KO). Ruiz was knocked to the canvas in the second and ninth rounds. Sadanittant, Vicente, who is promoted by DiBella Entertainment, defeated Colombian veteran Walberto Ramos (24-9-2, 17 Tal-KO) by 4th round TKO. Ramos was knocked down twice in the first round, then once again in the second, third, and fourth, until the referee stopped the fight.

 

 

 

 

Lebrón and Vicente are managed by Spartan Boxing Club.

 

 

 

 

In another bout of interest, former Puerto Rican Olympian and part of Top Rank, Jeyvier Cintrón (5-0, 3 Tal-KO) of Bayamón, won by technical knockout in the fourth round against Jonathan Burgos (13-5-1, 8 Tal-KO) mill-Kolombja.
