(Junio 30, 2016)– The main event between undefeated New Haven super bantamweight Luis “KO King” Rosa, Jr. and former world title challenger Luis “BarceloHinojosa ended in ano contestafter one round last night in the latest installment of Broadway Boxing, prezentita de DiBella Distro, at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

I felt that I dominated the fight and it was going to end sooner or later,” Rosa noted in his post-fight interview. “I hit him with a right hand (causing the cut) and I don’t agree with the decision (that it was from a head butt). He quit! I want to fight the best, whoever my promoter (Lou DiBella) chooses to put me in with next.

Salinas, who now fights out of Providence, defeated Gladney for the third time in three fights. She broke-down her opponent with her aggressive attack and Gladney finally wilted as referee Callas ended things in the fourth.

She hurt me with two or three punches, Angel has got pop,” Salinas commented. “I’ve only been hit like that by Shelly (Salinaslife partner 17-0 Ekstra bantamweight Shelly Vincent. I’m surprised and grateful for all this support (Salinas has lived in Providence for only one year). It’s been a huge life change and I’m very happy where I’m at.
When asked if she and Vincent would ever fight each other, both fighters agreed, possibly with the proceeds going to charity. “We could have a great fight because styles make fights,” Salinas added. “She can move down and I can move up. We have the same trainer (Peter Manfredo, Sr.), Tamen, but I’d fight her.
Teenage sensation “Eksterordinara” Mykey Williams (2-0, 2 KOs), fighting out of nearby East Hartford, showcased his vast skills on his way to a third-round stoppage of Puerto Rican junior middleweight Abdel Vera-Clemente (0-4). The 18-year-old Williams, a decorated amateur who won as 3-time Ringside World Champion, displayed quick hands and poise in the ring well beyond his years. He consistently ripped crisp combinations to Vera-Clemente’s body and head, hurting him with a right in the second. The onslaught continued as referee Johnny Callas stepped in to stop the action in the third round.

This was a good experience,” Williams said after the fight. “I enjoyed showcasing my skills and look forward to doing it again. I’m confident in my skills and did all of the hard work in the gym. I think I put on a good show for the fans.
Worcester, MA super lightweight Irvin Gonzalez (1-0, 1 KO) made the most of his brief pro debut, dropping Gilvan Santos (0-3) with a sharp left on the chin only a minute into the opening round. Santos beat the count but damage had already been done and referee Eddie Claudio wisely waved off the fight.

MASHANTUCKET, CT (Junio 22, 2016) – Undefeated world-rated junior featherweight prospect Luis “KO King” Rosa Jr. takes on former world title challenger Luis “BarceloHinojosa in the eight-round main event #?A?doNokto, Junio 30, in Premier Ballroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Konektikuto.
The 25-year-old Rosa (22-0, 10 KOs), born in Puerto Rico and fighting out of New Haven (CT), is a rising star in the junior featherweight division, world rated at No. 10 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Kaj Ne. 12 De la Monda Boksa Konsilio (WBC). He is a recent graduate of Gateway College in New Haven with an associates degree in business.
Hinojosa is a former Dominican Republic and World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin bantamweight champion who was stopped in the 11Thround by Yonfrez Parejo in their 2014 interim WBA bantamweight title fight.
Rosa doesn’t feel any added pressure in terms of risking his ranking and undefeated record against a veteran such as Hinojosa. “I’m hungrier knowing I’m so close to a major fight,” Rosa dirita. “I’m working even harder, I’m right there, knocking on the door for a world title fight. I think that will take a little more than a year. I know it’s hard to get a world title fight. I’m willing to fight any of the top 122-pounders. ‘MannyRodríguez to defend WBO Latino title against Luis Hinojosa

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino bantamweight Champion, Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Rodriguez (11-0, 7 KO’s) of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico will have to settle unfinished business with former world title challenger, Luis Hinojosa (27-8 , 17 KO’s) of the Dominican Republic, Sur Sabato, Majo 30 at the Cosme Beitia Coliseum in Cataño, Puerto Rico.
Rodríguez won the WBO Latino Bantamweight title after knocking out in the very first round Philly native Miguel Cartegena 13-2, 5 KO’s and former amateur 2 time US National Champion who won the Philadelphia Golden Gloves 11 Tempoj.
Last February, Hinojosa was scheduled to face the Puerto Rican fighter but the fight was canceled due to the Dominican visa issues.
I’m aware that I’m facing an experienced opponent who will be coming with every trick in the book. He is a battle tested veteran boxer that throws a lot of punches and perhaps this maybe the toughest fight of my career, but my team and I are working hard in preparation for this fight, and we will be ready for everything and anything he may come up with during the fight to assure that the belt won’t leave Puerto Rico”, said Emmanuel Rodriguez, who continued, “in the social media outlets many fans have told me that Hinojosa is in great condition, and has not stopped training since the fight was canceled in February. In his short professional boxing career, Rodriguez has notable victories over world title contender, David Quijano and former FECARBOX champion (WBC), Felix Perez, both wins were by unanimous decision. In his last brawl held in February, Rodriguez defeated Hungarian champion, Gabor Molnar by TKO in the second round.
After suffering seven losses early in his career, Je 2010 Hinojosa got on a hot victory streak by winning his next 25 fights and captured the WBA Fedecaribe and WBA Fedelatin titles in the process. Aŭguste 2014, Hinojosa traveled to Venezuela for the biggest fight of his career, which was for the WBA Interim World title. His opponent Yonfrez Parejo defeated Hinojosa by TKO in the eleventh round in a close and exciting bout.
Immediately, Hinojosa returned to the winning column by obtaining a TKO victory in the third round over prospect, Luis Rosa in November 2014.
Rodriguez’s manager Juan Orengo commented; “Hinojosa is very ready and his team has warned us to be prepared. I’m very confident in Manny’s talent and that he will prevail in the fight and will retain his belt while ensuring the fans get a great show. This will be an all out war from beginning and in the end, the real winners will most definitely be the fans”.
If all goes well, ‘Mannywill be back in August and at the end of the year we will be shooting for a world title at 118 Lbs.” Orengo said.
Rodriguez, who is the first Puerto Rican to win a gold medal at the 2010 Junior Olympics in Singapore 2010 is ranked #8 in the world by the WBO, Kaj #11 De la WBC.

Emmanuel Rodriguez will defend his WBO Latino belt against former world title contender, Luis Hinojosa in Hatillo, PR

Sur Sabato, Februaro 21, M/V Power Promotions and Fresh Boxing will be presenting the boxing event billed as ‘Rodriguez vs. Hinojosa’, which will take place at the Francisco ‘Pancho ‘DeidaColiseum of Hatillo , Puerto Rico starting at 7:00 Pm.

In the featured bout, WBO Latino bantamweight title holder, Emmanuel Rodríguez ( 10-0, 6 KO’s ) of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, will defend his title against battle tested former world title contender, and current rated #10 De la Monda Boksa Asocio (WBA), Luis Hinojosa (26-8, 16 KO’s) of the Dominican Republic in a 10-round scheduled clash.

At the beginning of his professional boxing career, 28-year-old Hinojosa only had one win in eight bouts. His seventh loss was against current world champion, Juan Carlos Payano in 2010. The co-featured bout will be a duel of unbeaten lightweights between Juvenal ‘Gringo’ Ramos (2-0, 2 KO’s) of Morovis, and Miguel Canino (4-0, 2 KO’s) of Dorado in a 6 rounds.

In what is expected to be another exciting fight, Jesus ‘ChiquitoSoler (6-1, 3 KO’s) and Gustavo Ortiz (1-2) will face off for the third time to determine the winner of their trilogy. In their first brawl, Soler won by unanimous decision, but in the second one, Ortiz won by split decision in a war from beginning to end. Soler-Ortiz is scheduled for six rounds in the flyweight division.

The two-time National Champion, Miguel Alejandro Cruz ( 6-0, 5 KO’s ) from Aguada, Puerto Rico will be making his first appearance as a pro-boxer in front of his fans in Puerto Rico against William Lorenzo ( 3-18, 1 KO’s ) in a six round welterweight bout.
