DAMIEN “SUGAR” VAZQUEZ WANTS TO LOCK HORNS WITH ROMAN “CHOCOLATITO” GONZALEZ

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Juliol 18, 2018) – Undefeated Las Vegas native, 21-anys d'edat Damien “Sucre” Vázquez (14-0, 7 KOs), wants to get in the ring with Romà “Chocolatito” González (46-2, 38 KOs), when he makes his return to the ring, rumored to be on the undercard of canelo vs. GGG al setembre 15, 2018.

 

 

 

Vazquez is the younger brother of former three-time super bantamweight world champion, Israel Vázquez. AGUASCALIENTES, MX (Abril 30, 2018) – This past Saturday, Promocions de sucre presented “FERIA de CAMPEONES”, an eleven bout card from Aguascalientes, Mèxic. In the 12-round main event, súper mitjà Bruno Sandoval (20-2-1, 16 KOs), who recently signed with Sugar Promotions, picked up a first round TKO over Devis Caceres (28-9-3, 19 KOs) capturing the WBC Latino Silver Super Middleweight title in the process. The co-main event saw Damien “Sucre” Vázquez (14-0, 7 KOs) pick up a ten round unanimous decision win over Luis Golindano (9-1, 6 KOs). The fight was close in the beginning as the two unbeaten fighters showed that neither wanted to taste defeat, but Vasquez began to pull away with his superior boxing skill as he claimed the WBC Youth super flyweight world title. Maryan Salazar (8-2) picked up a unanimous decision over Joselyn Casilla Martinez (4-3-1) to capture the CMB FECOMBOX light flyweight title. Salazar dominated this bout from start to finish to claim the title. Scorecards read 98-92, 98-91, 99-91 all in favor of Salazar.

 

 

 

 

“I have always wanted to win a title and to do it in my hometown of Aguascalientes, Mexico made it even better,” said Maryan Salazar. ‘I am very excited at what the future holds. My goal is to fight for a world title by the end of the year.”

AGUASCALIENTES, MX (Abril 16, 2018) – Opponents have been announced for Humberto “Tito” Velazco (19-1-1, 13 KOs) i Damien “Sucre” Vázquez (13-0, 7 KOs), who are both scheduled to fight on April 28, 2018 in Aguascalientes, MX, en el “Feria de Campeones” targeta, promogut per Promocions de sucre.

 

 

 

Velazco, who hails from Aguascalientes, will face Columbian power puncher, Davis Caceres(25-8, 20 KOs), in a 10-round main event bout, for the vacant WBC Silver Super Middleweight title. Vázquez, des de Las Vegas, Nevada, will battle Venezuela’s Luis Golindano (9-0, 6 KOs), for the WBC Jr. Bantamweight Youth World title, in a 10-round co-main event clash.

 

 

 

In his last fight on the undercard of Víctor Ortiz vs. Devon Alexander, Velazco scored an impressive 4º-round knockout over, Thomas Williams Jr. (20-4, 14KOs), who was ranked top ten in the world one time. Velazco’s powerful straight left to the head of Williams ended the bout, and the punch was the knockout of the night.
