Del Valle thriving in camp; ready to Defeat De La Hoya
Bayamon, Puerto Rico (September 6, 2016) – In less than two weeks, IBF #8 ranked super bantamweight Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle enters the ring against unbeaten and highly regarded Diego De La Hoya.
The bout opens the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez –Liam Smith HBO pay-per-view telecast Sabado, September 17 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX and is scheduled for ten rounds. Walog, who fought on HBO and Showtime on multiple occasions, considers this bout the most important of his career as he’s facing a foe that is in a position he himself was once in.
“Going into my fight with Vic Darchinyan, I was unbeaten and there was a lot of hype behind me,"Miingon Del Valle, nga mao ang 22-2 uban sa 16 knockouts. “That fight was supposed to get me to the next level with a victory over a former world champion but unfortunately it didn’t go down that way. Vic had a ton of experience and was the better man that night. I learned a lot as a man, fighter and about preparation at the top level. Now I feel that I’m in the role Vic was against me when I face De La Hoya.”
To ensure he excels on the grandest stage of his career, Del Valle’s currently in a grueling training camp in his native Puerto Rico. With head trainer Emilo Lozada leading the way, Del Valle’s put in countless hours honing his craft. Against the 15-0 De La Hoya, in what most expect to be the kind of high octane fight that epitomizes the Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivalry, Del Valle added new strength and conditioning drills so he’s able to engage in a high octane battle without running out of gas.
“It’s no secret that I bring the fight to everybody that gets in the ring with me. Diego and his team are looking to prove that he’s the real deal and they expect an impressive Mexican-style performance from him. What that means is this has all the makings of a fast paced brawl where nobody wants to take a step backwards. In order to come out of the battle as the victor, you’ve got to be ready for war. After what I’ve been through physically, mentally and emotionally in my training, Labi na ako sa kaandam. All of the hard work will pay off when I break Diego De La Hoya down September 17!"

Bayamon, Puerto Rico (Hulyo 20, 2016) – As a teenager, Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle left his native Puerto Rico for Newburgh, NY where he resided for seven years. The support was great and there is a very large Puerto Rican population in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. I’ve still got a lot of fans in the area and they always ask me when I’m fighting locally again. Due to some of the changes in my career, I wasn’t sure until this incredible opportunity came up. I’d like to thank Roc Nation and LGM Promotions for making this happen. I’m hoping to fight for a world title in the near future and defend it in the tri state area.”

Del Valle Demolishes Crespo in Two
Del Valle to meet Crespo April 9!
Bayamon, PR (Abril 1, 2016) – Super bantamweight contender Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle returns to the ring on Sabado, Abril 9 to face New England titlist Josh Crespo in an eight round bout at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH.
Tiket gikan sa $35 are on sale by calling 860-982-2532 o 603-898-2311.
A blood and guts warrior who gives fans their monies worth every time he enters the squared circle, Del Valle has an outstanding 20-2 rekord sa 15 daog pinaagi sa knockout. Sa Nobyembre 2015, the Bayamon native stopped 50-plus fight veteran Jose Juan Beltran after two rounds in Comerio, Puerto Rico. Currently signed to an exclusive promotional contract with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Del Valle has his sights set on another big fight but first must conquer the task at hand.
Born and raised in New Haven, CT, Crespo is riding a wave of confidence having defeated Jorge Abiague (9-1) for the New England super bantamweight championship last November. Crespo’s professional ledger is a deceptive 6-2-3 uban sa 2 KO’s but he’s unbeaten in his last five, facing two undefeated fighters in the process.
If victorious, Del Valle is expected to appear in a televised bout in the immediate future. While some potentially view this fight as a given for Del Valle prior to bigger and better things, the 29-year-old knows that records don’t tell the whole story and Crespo’s hunger can’t be overlooked.
“I’ve got big plans but that all goes out the window if I don’t do what I have to against Crespo,” Del Valle said from his training camp in Puerto Rico. “Anybody who really knows boxing understands that a record doesn’t determine how good a fighter is. I’ve seen Crespo before. He’s tough and willing to take on anybody which is evident by the fact that he’s facing me rather than a lesser opponent. I’m training like I’m the underdog since this fight is close to his hometown and I’ve got a lot on the line.”
