Silveira (12-1, 6 קאָס), of Salem MA) used his height and length advantage to out-box the much more experienced Clark (44-16-1, 18 קאָס). Due to what appeared to be a broken right hand, Clark was unable to continue after six rounds.

“I want to thank Michael Clark,” Silveria commented. “My buddy Martin passed away and this fight was for him. We’re back and can go as long as needed because I’m in better shape. I’m a smart fighter and I can counter guys. I hope to be back fighting סעפּטעמבער 30in Boston.”

Two-time Ecuador Olympian קאַרלאָס גאָנגאָראַ (9-0, 8 קאָס), קאַמף פון ברוקלין (ניו יאָרק), thoroughly outclassed Texas journeyman Larry “Slow Motion” סמיט (10-34-1, 7 קאָס)by way of a fifth-round technical knockout. Gongora, a powerful southpaw promoted by Murphy’s Boxing, started the fight firing crisp combinations to the head and body of Smith, who took a knee for an eight-count in the opening round. The action slowed through the second and third frames, but Gongora picked up the pace in the fourth, as Smith took a knee again and survived another round. The undefeated Ecuadorian middleweight closed the snow in the fifth as referee Steve Clark halted the one-sided bout.

“Fight Night at the Bay” קאָרט, presented by Granite Chin Promotions, will be held at Marina Bay Sportplex in Quincy, מאַססאַטשוסעטץ.
Former New England. וועלטערווייט מייַסטער Derek Silveira (12-1, 6 קאָס), fighting out of Salem (מאַ), וועט טרעפן ערשטע וועלט טיטל טשאַללענגער מיכאל “קאַלט בלוט” קלאַרק (44-16-1, 18 קאָס) in the eight-round main event.
Poland-native Lopes (17-4-2, 1 קאָ), fighting out of Marshfield (מאַ), is a 37-year-old lawyer who practices in Brockton (מאַ). She lost a pair of vacant World Boxing Council (וובק) Super Welterweight title fights to a Pole in Poland, Swede in Sweden. Last September, Lopes lost a 10-round decision to Ewa Piatkowska (9-1) in Poland; she dropped a 10-round majority decision in Sweden to Mikaela Lauren (22-3) אין 2014. אין 2013, Lopes lost a 10-round unanimous decision in Rhode Island to Tori Nelson (6-0-3) for the vacant International Boxing Association (יבאַ) World Welterweight Championship.

I need an experienced opponent like her to push me, to learn something new, and I always like to fight at home.
“It’s tough to fight here (יו.עס.) for a world title. You almost always need to travel overseas. We’re limited here because of the required purse (for the defending champion to come to the states) and sanctioning fees for promoters in America. Women’s boxing is more popular in Europe, Mexico and parts of South America. But I have had a very good run and great relationships with New England promoters, who’ve put me on their cards.
“I think women’s boxing maybe, just maybe, will start changing if the trend continues as fighters such as Clarissa Shields און Katie Taylor, women boxers who’ve made names in the Olympics, keep turning pro. אַמאַנדאַ סערראַנאָ has gotten some good exposure fighting on television, צו. We’ve had to travel for world title fights but, hopefully, things are changing for the better.”

Silveira (12-1, 6 קאָס), fighting out of Salem (מאַ), will face former world title challenger מיכאל “קאַלט בלוט” קלאַרק (44-16-1, 18 קאָס) in the eight-round main event.
The 31-year-old Silveira fought for a long time with bones spurs in his right elbow. He underwent surgery and later went to training camp in Las Vegas for a fight that, צומ באַדויערן, fell through. דעמאָלט, as a worker for a moving company, he fell through steps, resulting in torn labrum in his left hip. Webster won his first 19 ענדס, which was highlighted by a first round stoppage over Obodai Sai (23-1). Since suffering his only professional blemish, which was a unanimous decision defeat to Arif Magomedov on ShoBox: די ניו גענעראַטיאָן, Webster has rebounded nicely with wins over Thomas Awimbono (25-5) to win the USBO Super Middleweight title, and his last outing when he stopped Frankie Filippone (22-5-1) in seven rounds on May 13th in Bristol, Pennsylvania to win the World Boxing Foundation International Super Middleweight title.
